Signing up with Google Adsense

Updated on July 6, 2012

Welcome to Signing up with Google Adsense

Google is one of the most popular ways of earning money through websites. This guide walks you through the process of signing up with google Adsense.

What you should remember before Signing up

There are some essential things that you should take care of before you sign up to adsense.

Original Content

Take care that the content on your site is original that is it is not copied. The content on your site should be written by you or hire a writer to write for you. Original content not only helps you in a successful sign up attempt but also helps you get a good ranking in search engines.

Topic of the site

You should also see what your site is all about and keep in mind that Google does not accept applications of sites which accommodate content which is illegal. So if you are planning to create a site on Casinos and gambling and apply to Google Adsense then think again.

Signing up

The sign up page of Google Adsense asks for a relatively small amount of information.

The first thing that Google asks is the type of account you want. You can choose an individual or a a company account. The difference between these two types is that when you choose a company account then your earned money will be posted in the name of your company while obviously in the case of an individual account, the money will be sent in the name of a person. Choose a company account and the cheque will be sent in the name of the company and choose a individual account and the cheque will be posted directly to you.

The next thing that is asked is to choose between three ways of receiving your money. Electronic Funds transfer, Local currency check or Secured Express delivery. It is better to get your money by direct deposit using electronic funds transfer.

The next piece of information that is needed your website  URL. Enter the complete URL of your website correctly.

The next question is about whether you want content-based ads or the search ads or if you want you can also choose  both.

This is all you have to do to sign up and after you are approved you have to just copy and paste a small code in your website and you are up and running.
