Tips to Earn Money on Slicethepie

Updated on February 9, 2017 is a website that was launched back in 2007 and acts as a platform for emerging artists and allows music fans to be rewarded for reviewing and rating their tracks. It has evolved into the Internets largest music review engine that now gives on demand feedback to record labels and independent artists. Recently they have also started working with fashion retailers. They pay you for your opinion and you can review content whenever you like, the music streams and fashion images never run out.

Slicethepie pays via PayPal and the minimum withdrawal amount is US $10. Once you have reached the minimum withdrawal amount you can withdraw anytime by simply clicking "Withdraw to PayPal" under your earnings.

Slicethepie accepts users from around the globe. This is a big benefit for those living outside the United States of America and are often excluded from such sites. As long as you have a PayPal account then you can start earning. They suggest you need to have a good internet connection, with a minimum bitrate of 300kbps.

Tips to Earn More

Your payment per review is based on your Star Rating and the quality of your review. The more Stars you have the more you'll earn!

Reviewing Tracks - Make sure your reviews aren't too short. Reviews must contain at leas 15 words, but I recommend writing longer reviews over 100 words if you wish to improve your star rating. Your reviews should be constructive, polite and grammatically correct. Mention things like vocals, introduction/opening, lyrics, music, instrumentals, volume, beat and overall flow of the track. Make sure your reviews are original and not repetitive.

Raise Your Accuracy Percentage - Accuracy is the key to acquiring a higher scout rating. Your accuracy percentage is what you rate the tracks compared to the rest of the users on the website. For instance if you rate a track a 2 out of 10 and the majority of users rate the same track 8 out of 10 then your accuracy will not be very good, and your percentage will decrease. The key is to rate the tracks with the rest of the users in mind. Don't just rate a track 1 out of 10 because you don't like the certain genre, think of how others who enjoy the genre would like it. Don't allow your personal tastes to cloud your judgement.

Be Active - Be active as a scout/reviewer and try review tracks on a regular basis. The more accurate reviews you submit the greater the chance to improve your scout rating and ultimately the potential to earn more money.

Speed up the Process - You can start typing as soon as the music starts playing, so don't wait around. Start typing whatever comes into your head as you hear the music. You can always go back and edit, or pause the track if needed. It's much easier to start reviewing as you are listening rather than trying to remember everything you were thinking as the music was playing, and then trying to write it all down afterwards. Remember you don't have to listen to the whole track in order to submit your review. You can review a track after listening to it for just 90 seconds.

Refer Friends - For every friend who signs up using your unique referral link, you will receive a bonus of 10% of their earnings. If they earn $0.20 for a review, you'll get $0.02. However, this is only for the first year from the point that the referee leaves their first review.
