Top Scholarship Websites

Updated on June 28, 2012

There are many websites that offer scholarships. These are my top 3 picks. Whether you have financial aide and need to supplement your financial aide or whether you are looking for money to pay for all of your college needs, these websites guide you in the right direction. There is nothing better than FREE money!

If you have a recent high school graduate or you are a recent high school graduate, this is a great way to start looking for money for college even if you have already applied for financial aide through Fafsa. You should always explore as many options as possible to finance your college education and not just depend on one option. What if that one option doesn't fall through? This is a great way to encourage your graduate to get an education and earn a degree.

What if my child's GPA (grade point average) is not a 4.0? It doesn't matter. They offer scholarships for every student. You just have to search and apply to the right one for you. Below I have listed, in my opinion, the top scholarship websites.

Source is, in my opinion, the top college scholarship website as of today. They offer scholarships to any individual who is willing and able to go to college. This includes the recent high school graduate, the single parent, or even if you just want to advance your education no matter who you are. It doesn't matter if you GPA is above average or not quite average, there's a scholarship for you! They also offer sweepstakes, information on student finance options, colleges, and career planning. They match scholarship offers based on your profile. They send you deadline reminders on scholarships that may interest you and tips. A few of the many scholarships they offer are:

  1. Cappex GPA isn't Everything Scholarship
  2. $2,000 "No Essay" Scholarship
  3. Refer a friend to Fastweb and get a chance to win $500 towards funding your education.

Real Writing Jobs!

Scholarship is another wonderful website where you can win scholarships and money for school. You can win scholarships by taking simple no-cost surveys and earning scholarship points. You can then use the points that you earn to enter monthly scholarship drawings. Whether you're a recent high school graduate or want to enroll (or enrolled in college), you can enter the scholarship drawings. There are various scholarship contest and they send an email to your email address every month to announce that month's scholarship winners. The winners are everyday people like you and me. Oh, and did I mention all of this is FREE!

Source offers free scholarship searches, free college searches, and even a college matchmaker application that will match you to the college that is best for you. They even offer schools and organizations the option to list scholarships to be offered. The searches are always free and it could be a great way for high school seniors to start their journey of planning for college.

These are just 3 of the many websites that offer college scholarships. These are the ones that are most frequented. Some people may think this is a waste of time searching for and applying for scholarships because there are so many to choose from. This is far from true. That is the reason you fill out your profile information so they can match you to the scholarship offers that are best for you. You never know what your possibilities are. I hope this helps to start you on your journey to earning a degree. Good luck!

I have two in high school. I think they will get music scholarships, but we aren't sure yet. I read this just because I am getting old, crusty and out of touch. You have contributed to my storehouse of useful advice that I dole out freely to anyone who will stop long enough to listen.

You seem to have a lot useful hubs, so I will be back sooner or later. You know how it is . . . busy getting nowhere, fast.
