WinCo?

WinCo Grocery Stores offers a great selection of wonderful brands in the seven states that they operate in. Their stores are all in the Western Area of the United States.

WinCo has 87 stores in those seven states with over 14,000 employees.

Well actually, the employees own the WinCo Stores and have had their employee owned Pension Plan increase as much as 21% annual compound growth. That is why the employees are both happy to serve you and dedicated.

What a concept, fully supplied stores with good prices that actually share their success with their employees! Forbes lists WinCo very favorably as a privately held company. Here is a link if you want to know more about WinCo: http://www.wincofoods.com/about/

Let’s talk some shopping~! Why YOU will love WinCo too!

One Stop Grocery Shopping

The local WinCo welcomes you with a walk of huge savings. You grab your cart and walk down rows and towers of brand name products at extremely low prices. The signage will tell you how much WinCo pricing is below the nearest competitors prices.

Next you turn to a produce row that has more depth than most fruit and vegetable markets. This produce is deep in all kinds of vegetables and fruits. You will find what is in season locally at remarkably lower prices.

I also like that I can find my Southwest USA produce in the local WinCo. I can find my green chiles, tomatillos, and jalapenos fresh and at great prices.

Bulk Food Selection HUGE!!

The bulk area is huge. The shopper may purchase everything from baking needs, pastas, spices, candies, cereals, nuts, seeds, dried fruits, and sweets. They also sell items like peanut butter in bulk. Dog food comes in bulk as well.

The bulk coffee is simply great. The shopper will find fine coffees to select from. The coffees also come in some amazing flavors. Personally, I love the cherry coffee and the chocolate coffee

Meats~Cheeses~Milk~Fish

The rear of the store finds a huge area of well and fair priced refrigerated items. There are deli items as well as the freshest and finest quality of meat and fish. This store has never failed me in a cut or piece that I was looking for.

The cheese area is very deep in the types of cheeses carried. They never fail to have a fine selection.

Their fresh made salsas are right up there with homemade.

Canned Goods/Snacks/Cereals/Packaged Goods of all kinds!

Again, all the brands you expect and a brand called Nalley that has never disappointed. The Nalley bean less chili makes a great Chili Dog topping! The Nalley brand pickle is better than at least one national brand name pickle! These are their inexpensive brands too!

Frozen

The frozen food area is so big!

They have a HUGE selection of pizzas from thin to thick crusts. The frozen convenience foods are excellent for those of us who have little time to cook every night. We especially like the frozen fish selections.

There are plenty of ethnic foods like Chinese Fried Rice and other dinners too. There are plenty of healthy frozen selections too.

They have always had frozen turkeys too! Not very many stores will have frozen turkeys year around!

Bakery

Well of course, they have a full service bakery. Their bagels are pretty darn good as well as the pastries and other treats. They also carry the national brands of breads too.

Beer/Wine/Liquor

They carry the major brands but this is the smallest area of the store.

Check-Out & Go Shopping!!

You will be asked to bag your own groceries, so don’t be surprised! This helps keep the costs down.

You will love your grocery bill total! Good savings for great products.

The bulk foods section is our favorite, but I noted that we saved 81 cents on a jar of Smucker's Strawberry Jam (just one example of the many, many that could be listed). "A dollar here and a dollar there keeps WinCo Stores beyond compare." Perhaps they will pay me for that slogan!

I used to live by a Winco store and I would spend much less than i do at Smith's now. I miss Winco and i want them to build a location near me once again. Winco is the best.
