Zulily Daily Deals

Updated on May 5, 2011

Daily Deals from Zulily.com

This article is about Zulily and the deals they have on their web site. You can go there with your browser to see what they have to offer. Mostly they sell baby clothes and things for babies. Parents will like the site. Everyone can order gifts for people they know who are having babies or already had a baby recently. The clothes are very cute. A wide variety of clothes can be ordered, but the Daily Deal is one important reason for visiting the site regularly.

The web site says that some of their deals can be as much as 90 per cent off of retail price. Anyone who shops for baby clothes knows that this is a big discount but these kinds of shoppers also know that most baby clothes are already discounted anyway.

We wonder if most people who shop for baby clothes don't really know what they cost. You don't have babies around the house all the time. Babies grow up and people stop buying baby clothes, then they may start up again when they have another baby. They also reuse their old baby clothes from previous babies. Because of this situation, people probably don't actually have a good handle on what these clothes should cost on a regular basis.

Another group of people who buy baby clothes are people who buy the clothes as gifts. These kinds of people usually spend more than they normally would because they are purchasing something for a loved one or a friend. They know that they want to make a good impression so they will be willing to spend a little more (or a lot more) on a one-time purchase. Because of this, baby clothes prices probably vary very widely and people who buy them may not follow that fact very well.

This site has good clothes

There are many very nice clothes from good manufacturers on this site. They use the phrase "Boutique Brands" to describe what they have to sell. This means that the clothes are harder to find than common clothes that are for sale at Target or K-Mart. A boutique is a small store with a small number of employees that is in an expensive part of the town. You wouldn't shop at a boutique every day unless you have a lot of money to spend and you don't like the department stores.

Some people think that boutique stores have better quality than regular stores but other people think that the clothes are the same in both kinds of stores. It's a hard decision to make unless you have really studied the situation from both sides. Boutique brands will have different names from the brands in regular stores but the actual clothes may be exactly the same. No one really knows except the people who work in the companies that make the clothes and they probably will not tell anyone.

Here are some brands that Zulily likes

On their site, they list some brands that they like. Many of the brands are definitely boutique brands and you will never find them in K-Mart or Wal Mart. The brands may be better than what you buy in those stores, or they may not. Here are some brands that they offer deals on:

Wow. Those are just some of the brands that start with The Letter B. There are many more brands starting with the other letters of the alphabet.

They have more than just baby clothes

This site has daily deals on other things besides baby clothes. Babies need other things, too, and you can get some of those things also. A baby usually needs a stroller, a car seat, hats, burp cloths, highchairs, and nursery furniture. Look on the site frequently because they offer daily deals on gear for little babies. It may be gear from a boutique, or not. Most boutiques have other things than just clothes, so it all fits together.

Here is how you get the deals

You get deals on baby clothes because you sign up for them. The membership is free and you don't have to tell them very much about yourself. If you are interested in your privacy then you should be alright with this membership. You give them your first name, last name, your email address, and your password. Please note that this is not the password on your email. It is a password that you are supposed to make up just for this membership. You could probably use your same password as you have on your email account but most people say not to do that.

So when you sign up for the daily deals they will send them to you through your email. You can read them whenever you want, but remember that the deals will expire and you will miss out if you wait too long.

The deals are called events

On the site they call the daily deals events. We think this is a good way to get people excited about what is for sale. People who market products on the Internet know how to kick up a little buzz. Anyway, to see the events of the day, you do have to sign up for an account, as we talked about earlier in this article. You can't see anything until you sign up. There are probably other web sites that list the daily deals, events, for this site. You can look for other sites that advertise like this site.

It is a little frustrating that you can't see any of the daily deals, events, unless you sign up first. Maybe they want to know that they can trust you. If you visit the site you will need to tell them who you are before they will let you order anything. That's a little trick they have to make their things seem important. They want you to work a little before they reward you with their deals. A real boutique might not do that. We have not been to a boutique that makes you show ID before walking in the front door. Either way, the deals are awesome and every baby you know will love the stuff that is on sale.
