   Our dau. married Irish, lives there, grandson: What IRS impact in paying her $150K grad-school debt?
   
   We are U.S. citizens, she is, too, but earned no U.S. $ for years, will be Irish citizen, too. She would have had to pay $1600/m. starting last Jan., but no job. We paid it by refi farm mortgage. She promised to pay it back at 1200/m now, but they can barely budget it. We trust her new family and have known for 5 years. Stable deal. Issues: wire transfer and currency conv costs, Messes up their credit history, Rather help them buy first house with this and have them pay on that. Later they can pay us, or convey an interest in house (our retirement home??) We are not rich, but do all we can.

   Good day my friend: ARE YOU VERY,VERY,Very certain that this is legit.To me it sounds like your getting conned.I'm not saying that your daughter would do that knowinly.However are they being straight with her? Have you been over there and checked it out for yourself? I would if I were you.Why not his family?Why you? IT HAS BEEN MY EXPERENCE IN 53 YEARS OF LIFE THAT NICE PEOPLE WITH GOOD INTENIONS THAT HELP OUT GET SCREWED!!! I would bear these facts in mind very carefully.
