I have just found that I have been paying a subscription to a company KKO through Orange.fr but it seems to be a common experience in the UK too. I did not subscribe to anything from this company. How can I get reimbursed and how can I stop this happening again?

The problem is it was paid via our telephone and internet provider Orange.f and was added to our normal subscription which is paid by direct debit. Other major providers are also giving out clients money to this firm so changing provider won't help.
I would recommend filing a partial direct debit indemnity claim for the amount. You can do this through your bank either in branch or customer services.
