I do my own, but I'm an attorney so that's not fair. Instead of using H & R Block, or other types of preparers, there are programs put out there by the IRS to provide free tax preparation. For example, you can search for your local area VITA program. They provide free tax preparation for low income, student, elderly, and many others. If you make below a certain income level, you can use the IRS's free software found on the IRS website.
Just a couple of hints because I'm not a fan of H&R Block's fees. :)
