I was once passed up for a promotion because I am a white male. They needed to meet an affirmative action quota, so a female minority got the position. It's strange that they don't even hide it. They told me I was more qualified and otherwise would have received the promotion. They just had the Chief Diversity Officer explain it to me. How about a "Chief Measure People By Their Merit Officer". I guess that's not politically correct.
