    Its best to pay off the payday loans first.

    I actually wish you had it the other way round. Payday loans are short term and charge a very high interest rate. I wrote about it here:

    So, pay off your payday loans and get a normal bank loan with reasonable interest rates. If you fall behind on payday loans, the interest becomes atrocious and you have a contract with them.

    Lady_E is right. I'd also say drop every expense that you can... cable, etc. and get a second job that pays cash daily. Something like waiting tables or delivering pizzas. Hey, you'll hardly miss the cable if you're outside the home working, anyway.

    you could apply for a crisis loan ( if your in the UK) from the DWP to help with everyday costs- they attract no interest.
