I have been in the position of having more money than I needed, and while it did allow me to provide well for my family the time I spent away from them to make the big bucks was very damaging. Managing large amounts of money also is taxing (in more ways than one).
I have also been in the position of having little or no money. Having no home of my own, staying with friends while I tried to find work. That was hard, but it was enlightening to find out who my true friends were.
Most times I'm just sort of in the middle; wishing there was a little more money but getting by on what I have. Longing for what I can't have produces stress. Learning to be content with where I am in life allows me to focus on what is truly important. When I do that, my life is filled with riches money can not buy.
