How To Be Rich Like Warren Buffet?

Yes, the answer is to invest your money!

Just like the brick and mortar business where we buy and sell items for profit, but instead we buy shares at the wholesale price and sell it back at the retail price. Rich people like Warren Buffett use their money to invest in financial instruments such as stocks and shares. I have always been interested in stock trading and Forex (Foreign Currency Exchange), in general the "using money to make more money" concept.

But then I realized that day trading is not for me. It's a very boring work to do where you have to to spend most of your day looking at your PC monitor. Secondly, it is very stressful. There's a lot of stress factor in money and risk management you need to handle by yourself. It became worse when you need to do some calculation for your technical analysis.

The problem is that most of the traditional instruments of financial investments, such as stocks, mutual funds, savings accounts, and other potential ROI is very small. The risks may vary from one instrument to another, but in general, in my opinion, the reward for taking the risks are too small!

Investing in stocks that pay a dividend of 5% per annum ROI? 5% a year? Frankly speaking, 5% -10% annual returns does not sound appealing to me either! And then it happened - the last six months or so, when I was looking for some creative ways to invest my money, I found a concept that really blew my mind away! The same concept a few months later I made a net profit of USD1,500 in December 2012 only! And today, I will share with you exactly how I do it ...

How To Get Started?

A step-by-step guide to start investing your money with eToro

STEP 1 - Open an eToro account

If you don't have an eToro account, you can register here. There is no cost involved for using eToro open book (Forex trading social network), no registration or monthly subscription fees involved.

STEP 2 - Deposit money/fund and get bonus reward!

eToro accepts credit/debit cards, PayPal, wire transfer and some other payment methods. You can start investing from as low as USD50, but I must tell you that small capital will give you very small insignificant results. So, I recommend you to deposit USD200 as starter. Why?

Here is the reason, when you deposit USD200 for the first time, you will get USD20 bonus! Remember, eToro will give you a lot of bonus rewards for your first deposit, so the more you deposit the more you will get.

Secondly, to copy a trader, you need at least USD20, but those USD20 must be below or equal to 20% of your total equity. So, if you only have USD50 deposited amount, USD20 will be 40% of your total equity. Yes you can start right away with USD100, but you will never get those bonus rewards.

STEP 3 - Follow my rule of thumbs for greater success

In the next section below, I will share 4 rules of thumbs you need to follow in order to maximize your investment profits. These are the basics that you need to know before investing in eToro platform to avoid any silly mistakes in copy trading.

eToro Investment & Copy Trading Secret Revealed!

Here is how I earn some extra bucks by investing in eToro

Etoro allows us to copy up to 5 experienced traders (which they called Social Guru) and I think the best way to maximize your investment return to the full potential is by dividing your deposited fund equally to these traders, (20% of your total equity for each of them).

You need to build a diversified portfolio, and reduce the chances of big losses. My rule of thumb is easy, only copy experienced trader who trade low to medium risk, with a proven track record and positive closed trades for at least 6 months. Etoro make this process very easy because you can analyze every trader trading style, past performance, etc.

Let's take a look at my 4 rules of thumb:

RULE #1 - Trading History & Performance

This is the most crucial part because it shows the extent of any individual trader made in the last 6 months. You can also check their performances in various time frames (last week, last month, last year) but I find it best to keep the last 6 months.

Always remember that we are looking for traders with constant increases in realized equity without any big jumps and dive in their performance graph. Why? because we are looking for experienced traders who know what they are doing and not novice traders or those forex gamblers who are lucky enough to make some good trades and then totally lost! A perfect example of what kind of trader you want to follow:

RULE #2 - Average Trade Risk Breakdown

Everyone want a high return investment, including me. But always remember it usually has a price. Yes, there are traders who make 10% profit per day in Forex trading, but they usually involved in high risk trades which can lead to extreme losses when the market turn the opposite way.

This is something that I want you to avoid, because forex trading is no get-rich-fast scheme. It's a serious business. Try to minimize your risk and look for positive ROI in the long run. That's why you need to check the trader's portfolio for trade allocation graph just like the attachment below:

RULE #3 - Copiers & Copied Traders

You only want to invest and copy real traders, not copiers (In this case, people who invest just like you) who follow and copy other traders! That's why you need to check whether this social guru trade by him/herself or the other way round. You can find this information in trader's portfolio tab under the "copied traders" tab.

A good trader usually has hundreds or even thousands of copiers. This is a sign that their trading style is profitable and trusted by eToro investor community. You can visit their stats tab to view this important information just like the example below:

RULE #4 - Trading History (Closed Trade)

Here's the final step, check the trade history to see the results of their recent closed trades. Please pay close attention to the number of trades they executed each month - do not choose traders with less than 30 trades. Always look for active traders who trade Forex daily. They are usually called as scalper who open short term trades daily.

Make sure they have more greens (profit) than reds (loss)! Yes, I know this is common sense. But a lot of eToro beginners fail because of this little mistake. True story.
