Most Viewed Youtube Music Videos List

Updated on July 5, 2015

In the most watched video category list of YouTube, YouTube Music video has been showing strong sign of the popularity of music in the entire entertainment industries. The top three most viewed YouTube videos ever are basically music videos. The current trend of user activities in YouTube indicates that the rock and pop stars are surpassing the movie stars in terms of popularity.Though YouTube videos are not any landmark of measuring the popularity of anyone. Given the fact of increasing popularity of Internet among normal users who are also the buyers of music and movie CDs, there is no way to absolutely bundle out the strong connection between the real and online world popularity of any product or any person.

The stats of the total number of visits of each video was taken on 22 December 2010. The upload time of all the listed videos are in reference with this date.

How to watch YouTube music video?

Once you enter the homepage of Youtube.com, you will find a “browse” option in the top, just beside the YouTube search button. Click on the “browser” and when the next page appears, at the top of it there will be “categories” with double arrow button, click on it and select the “music”-that is all. For the time being you can take a look at YouTube music directly from this hub.

1. Justin Bieber-Baby ft Ludacris

This is the number one in the most watched music videos category of Youtube and it is also the most watched video in the history of YouTube. This video was upload only 10 months back, so far it has been watched over 416 million times, to be exact 416,496,668 visits. Despite being the record number of watch, this video could not escape from negative comments of many YouTube users, as usual love-hate behavior of Youtubers.

2. Lady Gaga-Bad Romance

Lady Gaga’s bad romance is in the number two position in the all time most watched videos and music videos category. Till date this video has received 322 million visits- precisely 322,132,970 views. This video has been uploaded in YouTube almost one year back.

3. Shakira-Waka Waka

Shakira’s FIFA world cup 2010 official song “Waka Waka-this time for Africa” has huge exposure in all types of media during the world cup football hours and that trend is no different in YouTube as well. This video was uploaded only six month back and so far it has been viewed over 263 million times or 263,079,160 views. Like the other top two videos, this video quality is great, and you can enjoy this colorful video in YouTube, if not have done so.

4. Eminem-Love the way you lie

This is number four in the most viewed music video category, not in the most viewed video category. The total number of visits is over 242 million (242,171,411). Only 4 months back this video was uploaded.

5. Miley Cyrus - Party In The U.S.A.

Miley Cyrus music video “Party in the USA” is in number five with the total number of views until December 2010 is over 181 million (181,371,761). This music video is available in YouTube for view since September 2009.

6. Eminem - Not Afraid

This is the second Eminem video in the top 10 list of YouTube most watched music video list. This video was uploaded 6 months back, on June 4, 2010. Total number of views is over 171 million (171,750,878).

7.Pitbull - I Know You Want Me

Pitbull is in number 7 with total views of over 156 million (156,747,760). Upload date of this  is March 9, 2009.

8. Mile Cyrus - 7 Things

Miley Cyrus’s performance on seven Things has received over 139 million visits (139,964,670) on YouTube. Upload date- June 28, 2008. So far, this video’s YouTube rating is 230.068 likes and 56,210 dislikes.

9. Lady Gaga-Just Dance ft. Colby O'Donis

This is another Lady Gaga video in the top 10 list. It was uploaded on June 16, 2009 and has received more than128 million visits (128,893,537).

10. Justin Bieber - Never Say Never ft. Jaden Smith

In the number 10 position, there is another Justin Beiber song-Never Say Never- and it was uploaded only 6 months back, on 27 May 2010. Until 22 December, this video has been watched over 123 million views (123,677,637 )

This top 10 list of YouTube music videos are also dominating the most watched video category of YouTube. All the first three videos-Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Sakira-are the most watched videos in the history of YouTube as well. I think you have noticed one very interesting trend from this hub and that is all the most watched videos belong to young stars and the topmost watched video belongs to the youngest star in the music industry-Justin Beiber. This is a clear indication of how much popular the Internet is to young people, and not only the music industry but all other industries that are some way concerned or connected to the interests of the young people are also much depended on Internet for their success. The social impact of YouTube is undeniable and all the conscious users or YouTubers need to use this popular media with more care so as any contents or video shared by users do not create any negative effects to the vast majority of young users of this great video sharing channel.

See? All the haters did was make Justin Bieber more famous and gave him the most viewed video. Even though I don't like him, that wasn't necessary.

Not necessarily the best music around, simply the most popular of the commercial music videos in youtube. I like Eminem and some of the songs of Shakira.

Most of the young people love Miley and Justin, they watch a lot and their votes count. Personally, I think they are cute but hearing them once in awhile is enough.
