5 Non-Famous Conspiracy Theories

Updated on November 2, 2012

A few days ago, I mentioned in one of my hubs that some of my interests include occult and mysteries. This interest also involves conspiracy theories. When we say conspiracy theories, most times the theories that come to mind are the Roswell alien spacecraft case or the Illuminati. These are the same regular conspiracy theories which are in the process of getting debunked every day. However, there are certain conspiracy theories that are not so famous and don’t often make it to the headlines.

Here is a list of 5 such non-famous conspiracy theories. This list includes some whacky theories as well as theories that have been proven right.

1) Reptilians are ruling the world

I am a person who is fairly open to multiple possibilities in the universe. However, it is a bit uncomfortable for me to believe in this theory. I bet people are aware of the Illuminati who are trying to control the world. But who are these reptilians? There are multiple theories about the reptilians. According to one theory, reptilians are the original inhabitants of earth (remember the dinosaurs??). They have been here before humans were created on earth. However, they went underground as more humans started populating the earth. They have evolved just like humans and have been plotting for thousands of years to enslave the human intruders and get back earth for themselves.

2) The President’s Book of Secrets

Anyone who has seen the movie National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets knows what I am talking about. In fact the movie was based on this theory. The movie talks about a book handed down by one former President of the United States to the other. Only the present President knows where the book is. A President documents events such as the Roswell incident, Area 51, some UFO incidents, JFK assassination, and location of Holy Grail etc. that are earth-shattering in nature in this book. Some say that the true identity of the antichrist too is documented in this book. How true is the existence of this book? Only the President of the United States knows that.

3) Project MKULTRA

This is definitely one conspiracy that should be in this list of non-famous conspiracy theories. And this theory was indeed proven true. You may have heard rumors about the CIA conducting secret experiments to see how it can control your mind. The experiment was conducted in reality and it was called Project MKULTRA. This experiment (including over a hundred sub-projects) was started on April 13, 1953 by the CIA. The project apparently was started as response to rumors of Communist mind control being used on American prisoners from Korean War. Afraid of a possibly impending danger, the CIA jumped on the bandwagon of mind control experiments. However, these experiments never succeeded. In fact, the project was found out and the CIA was given a stern warning about such a project.

4) Moon is an alien base

A list of conspiracy theories won’t be complete if it doesn’t talk about aliens. Why is one side of the moon always dark? One reason is that because it is not an earth’s satellite, but actually an alien base. Naturally the aliens don’t want to be found. This is not my theory, but many conspiracy theorists would like to claim this theory to be true. Have you ever wondered why no manned mission has been ever sent to moon again after Apollo 17 (December 1972). This was because the astronauts were strictly warned by the resident aliens (or the natives) to stay off the moon. At least, that is what astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin claimed. You can read more about that theory here.

5) Hollow Earth theory

During the ages when the church had a strong hold in the west, it was proclaimed that the earth was flat and it was the center of the universe. Then science proved that earth is not flat, but spherical and it is not the center of the universe. There also exists another group of people that is trying to prove that the earth does not have a solid core, but is hollow inside with another world similar to the outer earth’s surface. Yes, you heard it right. This theory is called the “Hollow earth theory”. This theory gained momentum when Admiral Richard E. Byrd (1888-1957), inadvertently found an inner earth world during one of his expeditions.

According to Byrd’s diary and hollow earth theorists, Atlantis did exist and the Atlanteans went underground when the great flood destroyed Atlantis. Not only this, but the diary also claims bizarre and giant flora and fauna in this world. Some theorists also claim that most of the aliens are not extraterrestrial but are from the inner earth and occasionally come out. It is claimed that the humans were given strict warning by these natives after the detonation of the atomic bomb during World War II.

What do you think about these non-famous conspiracy theories? Do feel free to add your theories.

I got cut off by the computer. As i was saying, is this conscious intelligence or power that decides to punish people in the next life morally good? Is it sane? Is it merciful and humane in how it punishes people? Or is it a cruel, insane, sadistic, malevolent monster like the Bible God who will torture billions of people forever in the most horrific ways imaginable? Being immersed in fire, worms, excrement, being buried alive in a claustrophobic environment, suffocation or inability to breathe, and being sliced and mutilated by demons is monstrously cruel inhumane torture worse than the crimes of Hitler, Stalin, and Vlad the Impaler. The Bible God will throw people in hell for silly reasons or for trivial reasons such as calling someone a fool and for failing to believe the entire Bible literally. People are going to be thrown in hell for being what Nature made them to be or for being born flawed imperfect humans. If God wanted humans to be perfect and sinless, then why didn't He make us that way? How can He expect perfection and sinlessness from naturally imperfect sinful creatures? The Bible God punishes the entire community for the sins of a single person. He punishes animals for the sins of human beings and He punishes the entire creation for the sin of two people, Adam and Eve. He punishes babies for the sins of their parents. He punishes civilians for the sins of their rulers. He punishes children for the sins of their parents and vice versa. If even a single person were to commit just a single sin, that's an execuse to punish the entire community with a plague. Read the hubsite Cruelty of the Christian God by Slarty O Brian where we can continue this conversation. Thank you for reading.

David Icke believes that certain famous people are able to physically shapeshift into reptilian humanoids. These reptilian humanoids look like Sleestaks from the TV show Land of the Lost. Different people have claimed they have witnessed shapeshifting reptilians. Can a human shapeshift into a reptilian and vice versa? One explanation I have is this: maybe what these people are witnessing is not flesh and blood humans physically metamorphosing but these are supernatural entities or demons who are able to change from human to reptile and vice versa. People may actually be seeing demons shapeshift and not human beings and not aliens. Some claim that aliens are actually demons or fallen angels in disguise under Satan. This is the evil version of Satan. There seems to be more than one Satan just as there is more than one Devil. Icke believes that Satanists( the evil kind) use sacrifices of animals, babies, and human adults and collect blood to summon demons(the evil demons) and to summon Satan(the evil version of Satan.) Icke believes that Satan is part humanoid and part reptile. As for the doctrine of hell or eternal punishment, you say that in Hinduism the Gods don't punish people. If God or the gods don't punish people in the next life then someone else does. If there is an afterlife and if that afterlife is a place of punishment then there has got to be a conscious, intelligent entity or entities which are able to bring the person back to life and which DECIDE what kind of punishment to give and for how long. Otherwise how could a person come back from the dead and how can a place of punishment exist and how can a person be placed in such a place if there was no one or no being with the intelligence and the power to do this? If its not God who does this, then its got to be some other conscious, intelligent force or power. Is this conscious, intelligent force or power good? Is it rational? Is it merciful and humane in how it punishes? Or is it an irrational, insane, cruel, sadistic, spiteful, malevolent psychopathic monster like the Bible God who is going to torture billions of people forev

Hi anonymous. Yes, I have read about David Icke and I also follow some of his theories. He is indeed very controversial. Sometimes I agree with him and other times, I totally disagree. But, I would say that he is right in saying that aliens are the ones who control all religions, politics and human affairs in the world. The detailed concept of hell seems to have been again taken by the Hindu concept of hell. Because, the 'puranas' in Hinduism talk in detail about hundreds of different forms of punishment for different types of crimes. However, Hinduism never talks about 'god punishing' humans. Hinduism also doesn't talk about 'you pissed off god, hence he punished'. It just talks about 'you did this crime, hence you will be punished in this way'. It seems that the Christian concept of hell was a blatant plagiarism again.

How true this concept of hell is, no one knows for sure.

Hi Karthikkash. Im the anonymous commenter who writes on many websites such as your own website, Titen-sxull, Slarty O Brian, Nell Rose, Cryptid, etc, etc. As far as conspiracy theories, David Icke is the most controversial. Read his several books about Reptilians, Shapeshifters, the Illuminati, etc. He believes that aliens have been here all along and control religion, the mass media, medicine, politics, music, the movies, advertisements, foods and drinks, etc. A lot of what he writes is a little above what I am able to understand. Dear Karthikkash please go back to the hubsite Cruelty of the Christian God by Slarty O Brian where I wrote many of the comments. The Bible God is a cruel insane monster. The subject of hell or eternal punishment is taught by Christian Fundamentalists such as Mary Baxter and Bill Wiese and by David J. Stewart. According to these sick fundamentalists, not only are all agnostics, atheists, Jews, Moslems, and all pagans are headed to hell but many Christians are also going to end up in hell for either not putting God and Jesus first in their lives or for not believing the entire Bible literally or for not belonging to the true church and on and on. That's billions of people who are going to be roasting like charcoals in fire forever. And fire isn't the only form of torture. Theres also worms and the stench of excrement. According to Bill Wiese, demonic monsters will mutilate and slice people and there is suffocation or the inability to breathe. According to David J. Stewart, victims in hell will be confined in a claustrophobic environment forever. In other words, people will be buried alive forever in hell as rhey are burned by fire at the same time. Is this a God of love and mercy? No this is a monstrously cruel, fiendish, malevolent, sadistic criminal who is worse than Hitler, Stalin, Bundy and Gacy. Its monstrously cruel, inhumane, sadistic, diabolical, fiendish, malevolent cruelty infinitely and vastly worse than any horror movie. I cannot imagine God being any more evil than this. This is worse than all the carnage and killings in the Old Testament. And according to Mary Baxter, the supposedly "kind, loving, gentle, forgiving, turn the other cheek" Jesus will go up to each damned person and scold them for disbelief. In other words, as each damned person is being tortured, Jesus will go up to them and rub it in their faces and tell them, "See, this is what happens when you disbelieve in me. You had your chances on earth and you blew it. Its too late for you now." Isn't that just heartwarming? (Sarcasm). So theres an expiration date for God's forgiveness. In the next life in hell, it wont matter how much victims in hell repent. Whew. I think Im going to end up in a mental hospital from fear. Fire, worms, excrement, suffocation, being buried alive, and being mutilated and sliced by demons and Satan forever is the fate for billions of people according to Fundamentalists. We worship a cruel, nasty, insane monster. We worship evil. What is the origin of the concept of eternal punishment or hell? Did the Egyptians start this belief? The Christian version of hell is the most horrific and disgusting belief invented by sick cruel minds. Anyway just go back and read my comments for Cruelty of the Christian God by Slarty O Brian. Thank you for publishing my comments.

I'm a bit of a conspiracy theory buff myself so I'm familiar and comfortable with all the theories on your list, except for the President's "book of secrets" - maybe something like that does exist, but i doubt that it could contain information about the UFOs or JFK assassination, let alone the antichrist...I think there are clandestine "rogue" groups within the government that keep this information hidden from everyone, including the President. And as we saw with former President Bush, a President can be just a puppet with no real power, and no real knowledge...Good stuff!

I don't believe in moon is an alien base theory. The more acceptable theory is no one ever landed on moon.

I have actually heard a theory that combines the Reptilian theory and the hollow earth theory. It stated that there was an opening somewhere on the surface of the earth that lead to a new world under the surface where all the reptilian creatures lived. Also that these reptilian creatures had the ability to come and go as they pleased. Probably one of the most farfetched theories that I have ever heard!

The President's book can confirm or deny all of this. I'm almost certain.

The Unlearner: Absolutely agree with you.. One of the most popular way of discrediting someone is to call his/her theory as conspiracy theory. However, there are also quacks are born conspiracy theorists. It is very difficult to differentiate between the authentic theories and the quacks. It does require a lot of research.

Interesting, the term 'conspiracy theory' is used to discredit anyone who speaks out against the government, most well researched and fact based findings are actually not theoretical.

Good for you on writing such an article. I think it paramount that we question everything, and not take things we have been told in modern science and in the mainstream media at face value.

I really enjoyed reading these and have heard of all of them, mostly because I have a blog about UFOs. You read enough UFO stuff, you hit all of these in short order! LOL!

The MKULTRA stuff continues in UFO circles as people try to accuse abductees of being 'fake' (MKULTRA mind control subjects) or 'real' (abducted by alien life forms) and then get into big stupid arguments about it. Sigh.

What a fine writer you are! Thumbs up and fanned. Thanks!

Great and very interesting hub. I discovered the reptillian people on Youtube. My son and I had a great time, very funny, although it is not meant to be.

They claim Paul MaCartney and Hillory Clinton among many other celebrities to be reptillian people. They show their forked tongues and reptillian eyes in slow-mo.

Hi, I always say theres no smoke without fire! lol! the hollow earth one is interesting because I remember reading years ago that explorers had in fact found bones of a tribe of people who lived deep inside caves that they believed led further down into the earth, obviously they could'nt be too far as it would get to hot, but fascinating stuff and voted up! nell
