8 Things Every Democrat (and Independent) Should Know

Updated on May 4, 2019

Vivian observes life and culture and offers truthful insights to introduce balance and normalcy to the crazed sectors of society.

We all vote the way we do for a reason. It’s one of our most important civic duties. Have you ever thought about why you vote Democrat? Chew on that for a moment. The Democratic Party has radically changed in recent years, so before the next election, it is critical you assess whether they still represent your best interests and conventional assumptions about their platform. You may be surprised.

1. Democrats No Longer Fight for the Middle Class

Growing up in the 1980’s to a blue collar family, my parents often repeated the common platitudes handed down to them from previous generations. “Democrats are for the working man. When a Republican is in office, the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer.” When my dad was laid off from work, my parents would lament, “Republicans are like ‘I got mine, so you get yours’” when it came to earning a comfortable living wage. As a child, I trusted my parents’ judgment without question—even though they never watched the news, followed politics, or were versed on the tenets of the Democratic platform.

When Nancy Reagan appeared on TV, my grandpa would be so “triggered,” he would snarl, “Every time I see her, I just want to throw a brick right at her face on TV.” Republicans were vilified by the middle class. The Democrats were once the vanguard against economic policies that only worked for big corporations, the rich, and elites but not for every day Americans.

That has changed. Now, Democrats have become the establishment, the elites, and the ones who rally behind large corporations, particularly Big Tech. Why? Because the Big Tech industry is run by progressives who make substantial political donations and who have the power to control information disseminated to the public that is favorably biased towards Democrats. Positive information about conservative candidates is buried in a digital graveyard, and only negative “fake news” is available about them on the first page of search results. Democrats also flank themselves with celebrity support, even though no one in Hollywood can remotely relate to the middle class lifestyle.

Obama’s bailout of elites threw average Americans into severe financial crisis. Democrats made trade agreements with other countries, like NAFTA, that caused a significant loss of American jobs. Democrats continue to fight for illegal immigrants’ rights to our jobs and entitlements without regard to the effect on American citizens and the economy. Democrats opposed President Trump’s tax cuts for the middle class. They are out of touch with the middle class and have no plan to make our lives better.

The truth is, Democrats look at ordinary Americans with complete disdain. It’s why Hillary Clinton relegated voters in the heartland as a “basket of deplorables.” It’s why disgraced former FBI agent, Peter Strzok claimed to “smell the Trump support” at Walmart and referred to them as “ignorant hillbillies.” Unless something has changed, Democrats also live in rural areas and shop at Walmart. Elizabeth Warren embarrassed herself by popping a beer to snag middle class support, as if that’s all we do. How insulting. To pretend she’s one of us is disingenuous when her net worth hovers around $9 million.

Hillary Clinton continues to bewail her 2016 loss and find inventive excuses to explain her defeat. The map below clearly shows the majority of the country voted for Trump, but Clinton reasoned, “I won the places that represent two-thirds of America’s gross domestic product. So I won the places that are optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward.” In other words, she only concentrated her efforts on the heavily populated areas that were thriving without regard to the rest of the country, whom she deemed to be the opposite of optimistic, diverse, dynamic, and moving forward. She is oblivious of the effect her offensive, elite attitude has on the majority of the country.

2. Democrats Are Now Socialists

If you vote Democrat because that’s how your family has always voted, it’s important you know it’s now the Socialist Party of America and not the Democratic Party it once was. The entire party has shifted far left and is dangling over a precipice. If I were still a Democrat, I would demand radicals form their own new party, the Socialist Party, and restore the Democratic Party to a moderate position minus the identity politics.

What is socialism? In essence, it’s a cradle-to-grave approach where the government redistributes wealth so that everyone has an equal amount of nothing. Socialism promises to give you everything you need for “free,” in exchange for most of your paycheck and loss of individual freedom and choice. For example, the government provides you with “free” healthcare, but it decides what services you can receive, and you might be dead before your number comes up in the long wait line for medical treatment. Bread lines to acquire a few crumbs for your family, forcing you to forage through trash cans for food, is another hallmark of socialism. Are you willing to watch your child go hungry and suffer physical peril from lack of adequate medical care?

Socialism has failed in every country in which it has been instituted, and it’s always the doorway to communism. What’s the difference? Communism requires a revolution to completely overthrow capitalism.

America’s capitalist society has lifted more people out of poverty than any system in the world. Yet, socialist forerunners like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders, rage against income inequality. What these radicals and their fellow Democrats don’t tell you is that to achieve the equality they are proposing requires the elimination of private property, economic classes, profits, and freedom. Arising from this destruction of free society is an authoritarian dictatorship forcing citizens to live under extreme oppression.

Do you believe in the American Dream? Investopedia defines the American Dream as “the belief that anyone, regardless of where they were born or what class they were born into, can attain their own version of success in a society where upward mobility is possible for everyone. The American Dream is achieved through sacrifice, risk-taking, and hard work, rather than by chance.”

Doesn’t that sound like a good deal to you?

The American Dream is available for all citizens, which is just one reason why these leftist radicals who propose offering reparations to descendants of slaves are so ridiculous. For one thing, the 154 year long gap between then and now should be more than ample to turn lives around considering we live in a land of unending opportunity. It would seem Democrats are doing penance to earn the black vote, since they were the ones who supported the Jim Crow Laws enforcing racial segregation through 1965.

If you like choosing your doctor, having plenty to eat, deciding where you live, choosing your career path, and managing your own money, then remember voting for a Democrat is voting for socialist policies that take all that away from you.

3. Democrats Oppose Our Constitution

When President Trump threatened to enact an emergency declaration to tap into funds to build our border wall, it was laughable that Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer called on Congress to “defend the Constitution” which they accused Trump of “shredding.” They tipped their hats to our Founders and publicly acknowledged the powers “enshrined in our Constitution” by those early writers. Ordinarily, Democrats overstep their Constitutional authority at will and refer to our founding document with contempt.

Without rules, there is chaos. Just ask any classroom teacher, employer, or parent. Yet, Democrats view our Constitution as a “living document” that should be fluid to change with the times. That may sound reasonable to you. As society and culture evolves, shouldn’t we reevaluate our rules? We have an amendment process for that, which is very rigorous for a reason. Our founding fathers were very aware of the danger of big government, which is what Democrats want. When government ceases to be of the people, by the people, for the people, we lose our freedom. This is one reason why it is so important for Supreme Court Justices to interpret the Constitution as it is written.

When was the last time the government could run your life better than you do? Red tape creates quite an obstacle course. You are the taxpayer—the government should be working FOR you, not against you.

Democrats war against our first amendment right to free speech. They coin euphemisms like “hate speech” and attempt to make laws against it. Since they define what “hate speech” is, they get to decide who can speak freely and who can’t. This shuts down healthy debate and exchange of ideas, and it’s retaliatory against anyone with a different opinion.

When Democrats refer to our second amendment right to keep and bear arms, they tag the discussion as “common sense gun laws,” which is another euphemism meaning “take away your guns.” Dems scoff and say they aren’t trying to take away our guns—as they try to take away our guns. To the ordinary person, it might sound logical to ban high powered weapons because none of us want more school shootings and terrorists opening fire in churches. Unfortunately, bad guys always get the guns. Good guys who give up their guns are defenseless, and good guys can’t lead revolutions during a governmental coup of our republic. Like the now familiar allegory relates—drunk drivers kill people, not the cars.

Think a coup couldn’t possibly happen in America? The Trump-Russia collusion hoax should put that idealistic theory to bed. We just witnessed a conspiracy to remove a duly elected president and disenfranchise American voters who put him in office. Who devised this scheme? The DNC, the Deep State, and Hillary Clinton, to name a few. Even if you hate Trump, do you agree with a party that would try to falsely accuse and illegally frame a president to oust him from office, even though he was elected fairly? What if a Republican pulled that stunt with a Democratic president?

It’s just life that sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. Our parents teach us how to be humble winners and gracious losers who try harder the next time. It’s about having good character and integrity, something the Democrats no longer possess. Instead of listening to American voters and changing their policies to align with the heartbeat of their constituents, they play dirty tricks to steal what doesn’t belong to them. They point the finger at Trump and accuse him of rigging the election, as they plot to rig future elections.

Eliminating the Electoral College is one of their ambitions. What do we need the Electoral College anyway? Why not go solely with the popular vote? The Electoral College ensures the minority is not ruled by a tyrannical majority. A small handful of states with the highest concentration of population could always dictate policy for the rest of the country. Since those highly populated states are liberal, Democrats would be guaranteed victory during each sham of an election cycle.

Our Constitution is a solid framework that preserves a system of checks and balances to keep everyone accountable and in order and prevents any one person from wielding too much power. Imagine if either political party never had to worry about being reelected because the fix was in. Do you think they would care what we would have to say? There would be no way to depose them without a revolution. Keeping a robust and fair battle between political parties is critical for maintaining equilibrium and a free and livable pH level in the country.

4. Democrats Don’t Care About the Environment

As a Democrat, you are likely concerned about climate change, even though people like me on the other side think it’s a hoax. We can meet in the middle though and agree being good stewards of the Earth and its resources is a good idea. Good stewardship involves things like keeping our water clean, recycling what we can, reforestation, and picking up trash.

Instead, the Democrats propose the Green New Deal, which is a sniper attempt to pawn the environment for power. In fact, the Green New Deal is a repackaging of Stalin’s 5-Year communist manifesto. It’s economically, logistically, and realistically unfeasible on every level. To implement this radical agenda, capitalism would have to be overthrown by communism, which is the goal of the Democratic Party. When Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez suggests people stop having children because the world is going to end in 12 years, she is using fear to mobilize support. When the House was called on the carpet to vote for or against the Green New Deal, every Democrat voted “present.” It didn’t receive one single favorable vote. It’s a flop. Everyone knows it. If you really believe in something, you stand behind the issue with your vote.

New York Mayor, Bill de Blasio, however, continues to channel Fred Flintstone by imposing his own version of the Green New Deal on his state. Skyscrapers in New York can no longer be built with glass and steel in order to reduce the carbon footprint. Those who refuse to retrofit their buildings by 2030 will face fines as high as $1 million. Democrats pretend to be visionaries who are forward-thinking, but their actions catapult society back to the Stone Age.

Nancy Pelosi’s district covers San Francisco—the city now known as one of the dirtiest in the country. Homeless people inject themselves with drugs and litter piles of hypodermic needles on the streets and sidewalks along with tons of human waste. This is becoming the trend in all large cities run by Democrats, and it’s a health hazard that is causing outbreaks of diseases, like E.coli and typhoid fever. These districts have substantial revenue to funnel towards clean-up efforts, but they are using the monies to fund sanctuary cities instead.

It is also well-documented that Democrats use private planes and SUV’s instead of public transportation.

So much hypocrisy just demonstrates Democrats are grandstanding on the environment for the sake of control rather than a genuine concern about keeping it clean and healthy.

5. Democrats Are Socially Re-Engineering America

To stack the deck to win all future elections, the Democrats are socially re-engineering America. Our immigration issues attest to that fact. In the past when Democrats were more centrist, they favored borders to preserve our sovereignty and secured funding to patrol them. Now, the Party demands open borders and the abolishment of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Why the change of heart? It’s certainly not a result of compassion for the less fortunate.

They claim no person can be illegal. We are either a nation of law and order or we are not. You wouldn’t want someone to break into your home and kill one of your children. No one would. Yet, thousands of felons, human traffickers, and drug smugglers are breaking into our country and harming our people. This is not okay.

Illegal immigration has always been a problem due to our weak laws no one seems to tackle, but why has there suddenly been an uptick in tens of thousands of people in organized caravans storming our borders?

Glen Beck researched this and discovered George Soros is behind most of it. Soros may incarnate evil more than any person currently alive on earth. He himself made billions from hedge funds, but he is a globalist who denounces capitalism. He is the funding source for many far left groups responsible for fermenting dissent and division to negatively impact our culture. Soros wants to overwhelm our border patrol agents with wave after wave of these caravans until our nation is brimming with new voters who are far more compliant than we are. The 2016 election strengthened Soros’ resolve to import enough voters to circumvent the will of the American people in future elections by diluting our American-ness.

Democrats resurrect the notion America is a melting pot and that diversity is positive. It’s not. Not the way they present it. Historically, our nation was composed of people from European descent. As such, we had much in common as a people. Immigrants then worked hard to forge a new life in this land, they loved and appreciated the freedom, they eventually took pride in one flag, and they united over shared ideals. This is no longer the case. Today, immigrants are after our wealth. They come here to drain our tax-funded entitlements, take our jobs, and fly their own flags. They become hyphenated-Americans who hijack our cities and set up replicas of their home countries. For example, Detroit is now the Muslim capital of Michigan and the Sharia Law they embrace is in direct opposition to our Constitutional values.

Ironically, when Trump called the bluff of Democrats and offered to place thousands of illegal immigrants in their sanctuary cities, they recoiled. Why wouldn’t radicals who embrace sanctuary cities and immigrants not welcome them with open arms? High profile Democrats live in mostly white districts behind walls where they are safe. How hypocritical to expect the rest of us to accept the blight of illegals onto our communities when they don’t want them in theirs.

Offering felons in prison the right to vote is the latest radical plan being pushed by Bernie Sanders and 2020 presidential contenders. Why? Felons will likely vote Democrat. Doesn’t the whole notion of imprisonment include losing such freedoms? When you ground your child as punishment, do you let them go to a birthday party or invite friends to your house? If you take away your kids’ Xbox and laptop as a disciplinary measure but let them keep their cell phones, will this teach them a lesson? Democrats have abandoned ever last trace of common sense in their rabid, fevered, and self-serving pursuit of power.

6. Democrats Are Anti-Family

One unifying factor we all share is our love of family, but even the family unit is not exempt from attack by Democrats.

Abortion is an issue that divides liberals from conservatives, and it shouldn’t. Conservatives believe life begins at conception and should be preserved and protected. Liberals assert a woman has the right to decide what happens to her body. “Reproductive rights” and “women’s health issues” are two more euphemisms employed by the Left to soften the term for murdering the unborn. Before medical advancements and technology, one might excuse the liberal description of a fetus as a lump of cells, but 4-D imaging clearly depicts viable life in the womb of a pregnant woman.

Armed with this knowledge, many Democrats continue to support abortion through the first trimester. Radicals have pushed the envelope further. Governor Ralph Northam of Virginia sent shock waves across America when he voiced support for terminating a baby’s life after it is born. This should cross the line for every American, regardless of political affiliation. No matter what means to “keep the baby comfortable” are activated while moms debate whether or not to allow children to live is infanticide. Period. Laws in many states protect dogs more than the unborn, offering strict consequences for animal abuse. The average neighbor on your street surely cannot condone this vile practice, but when you vote for one of the currently elected Democrats, this is the behavior you are endorsing. Can you justify such a vote? Democrats even support your kids having an abortion behind your back without parental consent.

LGBTQ issues separate one party from another. Conservatives affirm the Biblical stance of defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Liberals believe gays and lesbians have a right to marry, and they won that battle. The “victory” was only a toe hold to unleash a barrage of gender issues that shouldn’t be issues in our enlightened, modern age. If there’s one thing science has irrevocably proven, it’s that two sexes exist—male and female. The growing list of pronouns, sexual orientations, and fluidity between multiple genders is a dialogue of the demented—not ordinary, common sense Americans, regardless of party.

When your young children excitedly “decide” to be paleontologists, movie stars, monster truck drivers, or famous singers because they love Taylor Swift, you smile, nod your head, and say, “Sure. You can be whatever you want to be when you grow up,” knowing full well these are unrealistic fantasies they will outgrow. Yet, due to fear of being homophobic or at least politically incorrect, when a 3-year-old informs their parent they are a different gender from their birth certificate, parents instantly mobilize to help them transition. This is the story of actress Charlize Theron, and a growing list of parents who feel the societal pressure to allow kids to choose their own gender. It’s a trend that defies logic, reason, the laws of nature, and is abusive parenting. Even though mounting evidence indicates those with gender dysphoria have other psychological issues and that gender confusion often resolves over time, psychologists, like Kenneth Zucker, are fired for not instantly implementing the gender-affirmation approach to guide kids to their land of make believe.

If you’ve ever read the children’s book, “Turkey Trouble” by Wendi Silvano, you can draw some amusing parallels. Turkey doesn’t want to get eaten for Thanksgiving, so he dons a variety of barnyard disguises to dupe Farmer Jake. No matter how inventive his costume, everyone could still see he was a turkey. No matter how many pronouns people try to hide behind, there is no escaping they are either male or female.

How comfortable are you with a boy sharing your daughter’s restroom and locker room at school? We shouldn’t even need this conversation.

Democrats guide public school curriculum to transform your neighborhood’s educational epicenters to indoctrination camps, teaching ideas that often conflict with your family values. Revisionist history no longer delves into the brilliant, talented, entrepreneurial, and courageous leadership of those who developed America into the exceptional society it is. American accomplishments are vilified. Students are taught to despise America for its success. Though curriculum varies from one district to another, there is a marked increase in anti-American sentiment instead of nurturing patriotism. Our schools preach anti-capitalism, anti-men, anti-law enforcement, and anti-Christian messages while branding our forefathers as white supremacist oppressors. The Pledge of Allegiance has been discontinued in some schools, and the American flag is regarded by some as a divisive symbol. Diversity is celebrated in schools, but whites are targeted and shamed for their whiteness.

Along with reading, writing, and arithmetic, schools need to stick to teaching facts and allow social values to be decided at home.

7. Democrats No Longer Have a Message

The Democrats no longer have a platform or a game plan to make your life better. They have become the party of division and obstruction. They call themselves the Resistance. What are they resisting? Tax breaks for the middle class? Unprecedented unemployment for all Americans, including Hispanics and Blacks? An economy that’s the envy of the world? Businesses returning to the U.S. to provide even more jobs? Better care for our veterans? Energy independence? The end of ISIS and decreased threat from North Korea? A stronger military to keep us safe? Trade deals that benefit instead of take advantage of America? America being respected on the world stage again because we’ve stopped letting the international community bully us?

No, the Democrats no longer spend time fashioning policies to improve your quality of life, keep you employed, shape safer neighborhoods, or curb drugs pouring over our border. Their sole focus throughout Trump’s entire presidency is removing him from office. Despite being cleared of Russian collusion by Bob Mueller, who was motivated to take him down, the Democrats insist on continuing the farce. When a person has been dead for 24 hours, you don’t keep checking their vitals and insist they are still alive, yet this is the level of lunacy the Democratic Party manically pursues. “No evidence of collusion or obstruction,” Mueller reports, but Democrats fill fake news media segments promising, “There is evidence of collusion, and we’re going to impeach him!” Do you want your hard earned money spent funding baseless conspiracy theories, or would you like to see a tangible return on your investment?

8. Democrats Hate America

As you face challenges through different seasons of life, do you want someone encouraging you and lifting you out of your funk, or would you rather wallow in your plight and surround yourself with people who tell you your life is awful and will only get worse? Democrats hate the “Make America Great Again” slogan because they say there was never a time when it was great. Denigrating our home, way of life, nation, and our choices is not a prescription for victory. It’s like interviewing a nanny and having her say she hates kids and thinks yours are ugly and that she wants to replace them with better ones when you’re not looking. You wouldn’t hire her, so you shouldn’t hire Democrats who hate the things you love.

When Joe Biden declared his bid for the presidency, despite his pathetic track record and zero accomplishments, he said his slogan will be “Make America Moral Again.” The problem with that is morality is subjective, unless you are basing it on the same measuring stick, like Biblical principles. While Joe obviously thinks there is nothing amoral about kissing other women on the mouth besides his wife and giving them a grope, many of us take issue with it.

The kicker in Biden’s video announcement is when he states, “The core values of this nation, our standing in the world, our very democracy, everything that has made America, America, is at stake.”

Has Biden not been paying attention the last 10 years? Obama is the one who promised to “fundamentally change” America’s core values, and he did. He said we were no longer a Christian nation, he lit the White House in rainbow colors to celebrate gay marriage, he flooded our country with illegal immigrants to re-engineer our culture, he nearly bankrupted our nation, he made more people dependent on government assistance than anyone in history, he race baited to cause further division, he surrounded himself with fellow American haters, he made us a disrespected laughing stock around the world for his weak leadership, he used executive orders to overstep Constitutional boundaries, he weaponized government agencies against the American people, he let ISIS grow into an existential threat to humanity, he paid billions of dollars to Iran and made a deal to propel them toward nuclear armament, he made no effort to stop North Korea from missile creation and testing, he turned his back on Israel, he released terrorist leaders from Guantanamo Bay, he incited hatred against law enforcement officers….need I go on?

Trump promised to undue all these attacks on our core values. He elevated our standing in the world. He exposed corruption to protect our democracy, and he is steering America back to all the ideals that made us a great nation.

Sorry, Joe, Trump already is fixing what you screwed up for eight years. You had your chance.

Sadly, some voters may be duped into thinking Biden is the more centrist candidate. Compared to Bernie Sanders and the clown car of 2020 contenders who try to stand out from the crowd by out-radicalizing the rest, Biden creates a mirage of normalcy that has no substance.

Solution

Conservatives love Trump, and liberals hate him. We get it. Trump is unpolished, brash, and petulant at times. He rubs people the wrong way. Still, he’s not like your jerk boss you have to suffer under 8 hours every day or the annoying neighbor who pesters you when you’re outside.

If you only receive sound bites from the mainstream media, you are likely uninformed about the long list of accomplishments Trump has checked off his list of promises to the American people. He’s a business man, and he gets results. That’s what counts. Isn’t your life better than it was under Obama? A vote for Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, or one of the radicals who have thrown their hat into the ring is a vote for the decimation of America.

Too many of our presidential elections boil down to a vote for the lesser of two evils. Conservatives like me who have long since abandoned the destructive, anti-American, anti-family, Godless, and soulless Democratic Party are relieved Trump has done so much to reset America to our original course. Check out the #WalkAway Campaign, founded by Brandon Straka. He offers support to liberals who have found themselves displaced due to the shocking 180 turn in their party’s agenda.

If I were a Democrat, I may not want to vote for Trump, but I would anyway because I prefer living in an America that is thriving, strong, and free. I couldn’t vote for any of the radicals hiding behind the Democratic ticket who want to take that life from me. I would be proactive about reviving the party I once believed in--the one that was more moderate, centrist, and pro-American.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t want you to have a moderate candidate, which is why she threatened to blacklist any congressional member who didn’t tow the radical line.

What can you do to fight back? The answer is to join the opposition, at least temporarily. If the Democrats continue to lose and lose and lose, and their attempts to sabotage the system don’t earn them seats in Congress or the White House, they will either change or cease to be. In their place will arise a new party that represents what you, the Democratic voter, want for America and your family.

Despite the divide between liberals and conservatives, I believe the majority of Americans are good people who can find they agree on many bipartisan issues. Our founding fathers didn’t always agree during the Constitutional Convention and engaged in painful, heated arguments. As they drafted our Constitution, they argued, debated, and discussed every sentence. By the end of the process, they agreed on almost everything. They labored over every word to make sure it was just right, and the spirit of compromise saved the day. The result? They created a system of government that has worked better and longer than any other in history.

Just because the radicals are so loud they create the illusion of a large army, they do not represent the majority of Americans, only a select minority. Our Congress used to find common ground, but Democrats refuse to reach across the aisle any longer. It’s time to depose these radicals. Let’s focus on what unifies us—love of God, family, and country—and demand the government remember who they work for—we the people.

How Will You Vote?

The Democratic Party no longer contains any moderates or centrists. How does their current, radical, socialist/communist stance affect your vote?

      Angel,

Well, now you know! You're welcome for the tip!

Reproductive health= euphemism for killing babies

Cleaner environment=Job killing destruction of America through the Green New Deal (a communist manifesto). Dems no longer care about clean-just look at Nancy Pelosi's district, which is nothing but filth.

Healthcare--socialized medicine is never good. Letting the government decide when and if you need care can be deadly and robs us of our freedom of choice. Just remember Obama's quip, "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor." NOT!

Trump has tried to talk and compromise with the Dems, but they refuse to meet in the middle. They have moved so far left, they have gone beyond the point of no return.

I had no idea Democrats hated America. I thought they supported unions, fought against discrimination, allowed women the choice to decide their reproductive health, a cleaner environment, healthcare, and the safety net. I think when one party has rule and the president is of different party they should compromise. Trying to take away veto power an abuse of power.

Think about how many democrat voters don't pay taxes, or so little it doesn't matter. That is why many people say that the Trump tax cuts didn't help them.

      Just a thought.

      wba,

I can't figure it out either! Of course, they are bombarded with propaganda from every news source except Fox and OAN. Fascism is at work.

Liberals remind me of the Biblical story of Lot......he became like the culture around him--even offering his daughters to the men banging on his door! He didn't start off that way!

All other issues aside, you would think no one would want to work and give the government 70% of their paychecks, even though they are promised so much "free stuff." There is no motivation to work when you don't see your pay.

To vote Democrat seems like insanity, I can figure out if they actually believe in their cause or if they're totally brainwashed or have lost their collective minds?

It's rare to have a civil and sane conversation about these issues. I'd like to think there's a middle ground between Dem's and rep's but so far there doesn't seem to be one.

There is such a high degree of misinformation out their, that I guess you could say that the confusion is somewhat understandable. But you would think a reasonable person that is a democrat would start having red flags about open borders, anti-Americanism, the promotion of the transgender and homosexual lifestyle, and revisionist history to name a few of it's many error's?

      T,

Great point. If the media did honest, unbiased reporting, Americans could make up their minds based on facts, which would go a long way to solving the problem, as you stated.

Couldn’t agree with you more Ken but...

Very few Republicans (if any) will ever take the public stance “it must be exposed as the evil that it is, and all good people must oppose it.” Mainly because they are scared to death of the media, the fake news, and that is evident by the fact they won’t even get behind Trump when he takes the media on! Which brings us to the elephant in the room, the media.

Talk about evil, the media is many times more evil than the Democrat party. Without co-opting of the media, with an honest media, the Democrat party wouldn’t even exist as it is represented today.

If we had an honest media that promotes the truth as much as it promotes lies America’s problems would all be solved.

      Ken,

I actually agree with you and feel there is no redemption for the Democratic Party because, as you stated so well, they harbor nothing but evil under their umbrella.

I was only trying to appeal to a Democratic voter's sense of common sense and reason so as not to alienate them from the debate.

@Greg the two party system wasn't even a two party system anymore.

Politics in Washington were 'show only' for more than 30 years now... whether it was McCain, Clinton, or Reid, Schumer, Pelosi, etc. there has been a block of them from both sides of the aisle that dominated and ensured the worst for Americans:

NAFTA, TPP, Paris Accord, Glass Steagal, Open Border policy, etc.

They have been marching to the same drumbeat for more than a quarter century.

Trump is the disruption to the corruption and collusion going on in D.C. he was opposed first by the Republican (RNC) Establishment when he ran in the primaries, and then by the Democrats (DNC) with support from the Republican politicians who were sell-outs, and 'in-name-only' types.

      @ Vivian

An article well done, heavy hitting, yet hopeful...

"If I were a Democrat, I may not want to vote for Trump, but I would anyway because I prefer living in an America that is thriving, strong, and free. I couldn’t vote for any of the radicals hiding behind the Democratic ticket who want to take that life from me."

Exactly right, this is the mindset I hope every rational longtime Democrat voter comes to. This is not the 'Worker's Party' anymore, this is not the party that supports the American Blue Collar, Union, Middle Class.

"I would be proactive about reviving the party I once believed in--the one that was more moderate, centrist, and pro-American."

But here I disagree with you, exposing how radical the Democratic Party is, and turning from it, is the work that needs to be done right now.

What are the extremes that are being harbored under the Democratic Umbrella?

      Antisemitism

      Anti-Americanism

      Pedophile legalization

      Anti-Christian

      Anti-Patriarchy

      Open Borders - Globalism

Essentially a washing away of our values, morals, beliefs, the destruction of everything this nation was founded on... the destruction of the Middle Class, Capitalism, and American Liberties and guaranteed Freedoms.

They represent heavy taxation, the loss of personal property and personal rights and freedoms. And they have already marched us down that path quite a ways, had anyone other than Trump been elected, our lives would be far worse off as they enacted the Paris Accord agreements, TPP, and other Middle Class killing rules and regulations they had in store for America.

There is no 'salvation' for the Democratic Party today... it must be exposed as the evil that it is, and all good people must oppose it.

      MAGA TwentyTwenty,

Even though it wiped out the people who already voted in the poll, I edited it to include another option just for you, wink wink. Gotta make sure my Peeps are all represented here, LOL!

      Greg,

Doing away with the Electoral College may sound like a common sense approach to ensuring the popular vote always determines the presidency. However, that would make us a pure democracy, which is very dangerous. If you refer to the electoral map I posted at the beginning of this article, it shows that a sweeping number of states voted for Trump, with a handful going to Hillary. With no Electoral College, the vast majority of the country would be under the tyrannical rule of that handful of liberally concentrated states. It would guarantee victory for liberals every election. As you know, whenever any one party has power for too long, we the people suffer under their dictatorship.

Thank you for your comment and your offer to add something to the poll.

I think the thing that is missing is that I am not a loyal party voter. Out of all the candidates, I really only liked Trump. He was someone that didn't have to defend what he did to the country, he only inherited it..

Since Obama became president the democrats have turned vicious and the republicans have become wimps. Neither of these choices are attractive, so it is the lesser of two evils as usual.

I wouldn't vote for Romney just because he was running as a republican, and I wouldn't run for Romney because i don't like his politics. We have a one shot deal with Trump because he is not a loyal republican and that is why republicans are split on him. If anyone can change the seesaw to even a bicycle it would be Trump.

Neither party no matter how opposite they are wants the put country above the party except Trump. So if a democrat was willing to help him, I would most likely vote for them. I would also most likely not vote for a republican that is against Trump.

I hope that helps figure out what line to add to your poll.

      Have a great weekend:)

The first step in getting rid of the two party system is to do away with the electoral college.

      MAGA TwentyTwenty,

I agree with you about the seesaw. That is a very good analogy because you are right--it only goes up and down and not forward. There needs to be more competition of other options--make these politicians work harder and remember who they work for (not lobbyists, etc.). When either party holds power too long, they become too complacent and too powerful.

I'm curious what option I could include in the poll so you and others like you would be covered?

I always appreciate hearing your viewpoint. You look at things outside the box.

Very well done article, and I loved the pictures.

I didn't do your poll because, it didn't have anything I could pick.

While the republicans are a better pick than the democrats, it is the lesser of two evils.

The two party system hasn't worked for the benefit of the country. Imagine one party at the end of a seesaw and the other party at the other end.

The party in control pushes their seat down, and the other party's seat goes up. What we have seen in history is the seesaw go up and down but it doesn't move forward.

It could also be viewed as an etch a sketch, write something and then the other party erases it. Why because the two parties are diametrically opposite, and that means no compromise is possible.

The only tie breaker would have to come from the voters, but most voters are loyal party voters. This emboldens the party to exploit them. When we vote for candidates from a party, it is the magician, pick any card but you wind up picking the card the magicians wanted you to pick.

As long as the party voters are loyal, the party doesn't have to give better candidates.

The loyalty shouldn't be from the voter, it should be for those they elect.

Anyway, I liked the 8 points and how you supported them:)

      T,

I was just playing devil's advocate saying Trump is unpolished and brash because I personally love that style! It cuts through all the political correct crap and says it like it is.

You are right though. Trump could be a saint, but the Left will always rail against anyone who fights for our core American values and defends conservative principles because they are instruments of satan.

Always great to hear from you:)

Vivian, reading James' articles and comments, the rule is I have never, not yet, found anything James writes that I disagree with and when he says

"Your article is absolutely brilliant! I love it. I wholeheartedly agree with you all the way round. Well done!"

For me It is no exception to that rule!

I will say in addition, if Trump wasn't "unpolished, brash, and petulant at times." If he didn't "rub people the wrong way" do you think he would be any less hated by the never Trumpers?

      We all know the answer...

He could be the most elegant and likable person on Earth and they would paint him as the devil appearing as an angel of light, a wolf in sheep's clothing or the Antichrist, you can bet on that!

      Readmikenow,

I agree with everything you stated. It's almost like AOC, Tlaib, and Omar were put in office through affirmative action instead of election. They are hateful people with zero accomplishments or potential, pretty much like everyone else in the current Democratic Party.

      Thanks for posting!

      Very well written article.

I believe the Democrats are in very bad shape for the 2020 election cycle. None of their candidates for president has inspired anyone in their party. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar have been the face of the Democrat party that hates the United States. They also look very unintelligent.

The Democrat party is in very bad shape.

      Greg,

When I'm out and about talking to regular people, they seem oblivious to the battle that is waging for the soul of this nation. I wrote this to spread awareness, and I hope others will share the message through social media. It is critically important!

Traditional Democrats have had their party hijacked and held hostage, but too many voters who don't follow what is happening in government have no idea! In general, people on both sides are just living life and not paying attention what is happening politically when they need to engage and take a more active role to save the ship!

Thanks for reading! It ended up being so long, I wasn't sure if anyone would plod through to the end!
