A Failed Society

Updated on September 8, 2018

A Failed Society

This seems kind of crazy to some but that would only be because they do not understand what others understand. Just about every time I watch the news I see someone that has been killed or had some crime committed against them such as robbery, attempted murder, ect. I also see people that have been caught for things like DUI, rape, stealing ect. The question is who is it that is really at fault?

Is it really the person that has committed the crime or is it society that has failed to socialize those same people correctly. Take for instance a person that steals some food at the market because they are hungry and gets arrested. Had society taken care of that person would they have stolen that food and committed that crime? If they were taught that they do not need to steal to eat but that they could go about getting food in a different way that they would have stolen the food. It is ridiculous out here. Society can sure punish people but they refuse to take responsibility to provide for them and take care of them.

Imagine if people that did not have food and could not afford food if they were able to walk into a store and take what they needed without having to pay for it without it being a crime how society would be? There would not be many people in jail for stealing food I don't think. Of course, it is a bit more complicated than that because of this issue of greed. When it comes to crime it is the person that committed the crime that is at fault but in my opinion it is not only that person that is at fault, it is society that is at fault for neglecting to take care of the members of that society.

They have created a system that is designed to make people criminals and liars. They have created a system that gets paid and benefits off of the misfortune of others. They have created a system that can not exist without the suffering, pain and sickness of others. They have created a system that oppresses the poor, under educated, sick, and weak. The systems within society has failed and that same system that holds people accountable for failing in the system should it self be held accountable for neglecting it's people and failing to make sure that the people are able to be successful and not condemned. Yeah, I know this sounds crazy because it is a different ideology than what is taught in society and in schools. We are taught that people should be punished and that they should be condemned.

You may wonder why it is that I say this. Well, during the last election of 2016 there was a measure on the ballot that would do away with the death penalty and the majority of people voted against it. These people have such faith in the Criminal Justice System they believe that it is impeccable and is not prone to put an innocent persons life at risk of being falsely charged and convicted of a crime that they did not even commit. They have such faith in this system that they would risk their own lives, their family members lives, their friends lives the lives of their loved ones and others. They display this by voting to continue putting people to death under the idea that people deserve to die if they commit a criminal act.

It does not stop at this, we live in a society that says it believes that putting a person in jail will "rehabilitate" them but, after that person has been released from the institution of "rehabilitation" society will not hire the person or let them work in certain fields because they believe that those people with criminal backgrounds are a high risk and can potentially cause a problem and are labeled as a threat.

Then they wonder why people steal their stuff and return to crime. Wake up people who ever you are! you are creating desperate people and desperate people take desperate measures to survive and eat.
