The Second American Civil War ~ (2017 - ?)
Well we’ve done it America. We have elected an egotistical, racist, sheisty, silver-spooned talk show host with a mid-level IQ and a plethora of psychological syndromes. Congratulations TV viewers! You are the apprentice and Donald Trump is, as you will soon learn, your harsh master. Prepare to be fired and never thought of again. The cabinet picks and the rush to abolish Obamacare sounds to me like they’re ringing the dinner bell down at the Hungry Dogs Café. Come and git it pharma! There are precious few pharmaceutical ads on TV. Right? We need many, many more to convince us that the use of another pill might somehow alleviate the pain and pressure we feel from the stress of living in a society where 80% of people grovel and scrape over 20% of the money. We have been degraded and manipulated by the concerted efforts of elitists who, under the guise of American business, have purchased the Republican Party lock, stock and barrel. They own it. With an unlimited (Koch,etc.)bank-roll, gerrymandering and voter suppression upheld by the Republican run Supreme Court, the GOP was able to buy a majority in the House and Senate along with 2/3 of the gubernatorial seats in the country. With a dedicated memeplex they tapped into the hate, fear and fight bones of their beleaguered constituency and effectively destroyed their Democratic opposition. Money is the new god and Alt-Right Pseudo-Christian Fascism is it’s new religion. The second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence that states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by the Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. ” I don’t think so founding fathers, not anymore.
A review of the Trump rap sheet makes him look like the 21st century’s answer to Benedict Arnold. There’s the problem of the religious persecution of Muslims coming into the country, his un-disclosed tax returns, links to Russian business, the Trump University law suit, the Russian hacking of the election, conflicts of interest with Trump profiting from foreign governments yadda, yadda, yadda. Trump groupie Kellyanne Conway says we don’t care about that stuff. If Trump doesn’t fess up to the Russian election hacking and push an investigation, he is in cahoots with them. He probably is. Have you noticed how touchy he gets when the validity of the election is questioned. He doesn’t want to go there. His ego won’t allow it. Maybe they will uncover that, if not for Russian intervention, Trump would have lost. How dare we insinuate that Trump cheated! See, there’s one of those psych syndromes rearing it’s ugly head again. On top of that, Trump is a pathological liar, or as the sycophant Kellyanne Conway says, he
states “alternative facts”. This man has had his ass kissed soooo much in his affluent life that, with an army of enabling lackeys, he creates his own reality. He actually thinks his will makes it so. Reality be damned! Trump is delusional. It’s pitiful to watch minion press secretary Sean Spicer, who appears to be the reincarnation of Dobby the servant elf, trying to predicate logic out of Trump’s insanity. It appears the United States of America is being led on the whims of a proverbial jive turkey, JT for short. It seems the tenets of American ideology have fallen prey to hubris, assholishness and douchebaggery.
It is now from the depths of our whorish, vulgar world profile that we look to the Republican House & Senate to save us. Will a hero arise from the tangled mass of paid under the table Republican bureaucrats? Who among you will stand up for your country’s democratic foundations and restore dignity and credibility to America? How many wounds will you allow Trump to inflict on her? To those Republican representatives who espouse to the courage and selflessness of our military veterans, we the people charge you with a mission: “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic…” as you have sworn to do. This is what 21st century civil war looks like you future (good or bad) historical figures! How about the TPP? By opting out we are in effect, handing over Pacific Rim trade regulation and oversight to China. We are reneging on an American contract and in turn wounded our Pacific trading partners. The remaining partners have no choice than to hand the TPP reins over to the Chinese who are already negotiating their own version of the TPP. Do you think American jobs are on the Chinese revised TPP agenda?! We won’t have a voice or a choice now. China is the new sheriff in town, so you better watch your step cowboy. Does Trump realize he’s screwed America’s very dear friend Australia? Did he expect a warm reception after stabbing Australia in the back? Donald Trump just shot America in the foot. Hopefully gangrene won’t set in. He has hurt America and destabilized the world in the few short days he’s been in office. Thanks JT! What person in their right mind would say that, according to an unsubstantiated, probably fabricated CPD police source, urban violence in Chicago could be solved in a week? Who says stuff like that? What’s next, Reichführer Bannon bending spoons with his mind? Who in the Republican Party will feel the same call to patriotic duty that our veterans felt in Iraq or Afghanistan? Will Vietnam War Hero John McCain lead the patriots?
We are at the point in our history where the old parties of the Democrats and Republicans have proved obsolete. It’s time to make new alliances for the good of the country and the good of humanity. The dividing line in the pie is changing from a vertical one to a horizontal one. This is not a fight over politics. This is a fight between rationale and insanity, between cowardice and courage between degradation and dignity. It might be safe to say it is a fight between good and evil. Trump thinks, opposed to the consensus of the intelligence community, that torture works and was prepared to use it. Trump thinks, opposed the consensus of the civilized world, that torture is not an evil practice. He lacks basic morality. His affluence has dehumanized him. Is it cognitive dissonance that obscures your vision Paul Ryan? You’re playing Russian Roulette with the future of your country and our lives. Trump’s only been in two week! He hasn’t solved Chicago’s urban violence problem in one week but he sure has destabilized the world in one week. Are you getting a kick out of watching him tweet and make a fool of himself and your country? Where is your patriotism Mr. Speaker? Where are your ethics? In the pockets of the Koch brothers? Are you the Oligarchy’s lap dog?
On the other side of the massive Grand Canyon expanse sits John Lewis, Corey Booker, Bernie Sanders, Robert Reich and Elizabeth Warren at the head of a crowd of 3-million popular votes and probably more. They’re the hackees so to speak. It puts into question our hackable electoral process, gerrymandering, delegates, super delegates and the whole ambiguous election process. WTF! America has been rocked to her visceral core. Will hubris win the day as it did in Rome? What happens when a befuddled Trump looks up from his Wall Street Journal and sees America burning? What will he tweet then? The blame for a national catastrophe will be a moot point once the damage has been done. The marches were impressive but Trump don’t care about no stinking marches. Neither did Nero. If we are mere plebs is John McCain is our Spartacus? Trump has brought us to a crossroad in history. It’s time for America to look in the mirror and see what it has become. I have a hard time believing it already has and likes what it sees. According to a Morning Consult poll Trump’s ban on Muslims entering the country is supported by 49% of Americans. According to their website, “Morning Consult is a media and technology company at the intersection of politics, policy, Wall Street, and business strategy.” Wow, I wonder if they’re Republicans. I wonder if the polling might have been a little skewed somehow. The fact is that we don’t care about no stinking polls. We will resist at all times using the non-violent methods of Dr. Martin Luther King. This time we are not divided by race. We are united by a fundamental knowledge of the difference between right and wrong. We have chosen our side of the line. We stand for love, equality, empathy and acceptance, especially for those less fortunate than ourselves regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or country of birth. We have emerged from our 60-hour work weeks, low wages and limited opportunities to stand and say, “Hell No!”. We fought Nixon and won. Guess what? We’re back!
