A dysfunction political system: like a barrel with crabs in it

Updated on November 28, 2016

Crabs are crabs by Nature: people can be likened unto crabs politically speaking

Most of you can appreciate this analogy of "Crabs in a barrel." It is straight forward and simple enough for even a child to understand. The primary behavior of crabs in a barrel is to "pull any other crab that tries to make it to the top of barrel back down. No crab can ever make it to the top of the barrel and escape to Freedom. Freedom has no meaning within the context of the barrel's environment. However, money plays into the "system's understanding of freedom." It goes like this, "The richer you are, financially speaking, the more freedom that you have." Degrees of freedom can be measured in the number of dollars that one possesses. Actually, within the context of the barrel "Money" has become the "tangible" God of the Crabs within the Reality of what one observes within the Crabs political system. Crabs love money! The God that the crabs profess to believe in, worship and love has taught them that, "the love of money is the root of all evil," but the crabs, being able to practice hypocrisy by ignoring their precious God, have chosen to follow after their "Golden Calf," of a God, called "Money."

Anyway, getting back to the Crabs in the Barrel, lets focus, intently on the "Chief behavior of the Crabs," that is, the behavior of pulling down, keeping down, and practicing a disguised kind of hate that they call Love. Call "hate" what you will, even love, and it will still express itself as Hate. Hate cannot be hidden, regardless of what you call it. Hate is just "plain, unadulterated , hate." Crabs are "like wolves with sheep clothes on," they will smile in your face, on the one turn, and stab you in the back, on the next turn. "Wolves, with sheep clothes on."

Some of the crabs have worked their way to high places near the top of the barrel. They are billionaires (or have lesser sums of money than billionaires but have great influence near the top of the barrel), or exist within high government positions that allow them to express great influence to keep the crabs at the bottom of the barrel there, at the bottom. Remember, the God of the Crabs is actually money. Money rules!

"Rich towards God." Remember, the true God of the crabs is a Jewish God who was first worshiped by Jews. Remember the Hebrew Bible (Some call it the Old Testament). That God, that Moses went on top of the mountain to get the Ten Commandments from. Well, that God was worshipped by the Jews firstly, then by Christians, then by Muslims. Within the context of the barrel, Jews, Muslims and Christians worship the same God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (but they do not worship together). Noteworthy, for the most part, crabs within the context of the barrel hate each other.

"Rich towards God." Lets read an example from the True God of the Crabs to see how not to be rich toward the Real, Almighty God of the crabs. Sacred Scriptures of the crabs called Christians contain verses (Luke 12:16-21) that reads, "The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:

And he thought within himself, saying,

What shall I do,

because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?

And he said,

This will I do:

I will pull down my barns,

and build greater;

and there will I bestore all my fruits and my goods.

And I will say to my soul,

thou hast much goods laid up for many years;

take thine ease,

eat, drink, and be merry.

But God

said unto him,

Thou fool,

this night thy soul shall be required of thee:

then whose shall those thing be, which thou hast provided?

So is he that layeth up treasure for himself,

and is not rich toward God."

Crabs in the barrel, for the most part, do not heed the words of their "Real God." The love that they have for their "Golden Calf," false god has blinded them to the truths that their Real God have given to them.

One of the outstanding Jewish prophets, the Prophet Isaiah, has summed up the situation within the barrel, with the crabs, better than I ever could, when he replied in Isaiah 53:6, "All

like sheep

have gone astray;

we have turned

every one

to his own way."

By now I know that every one knows that my dream (or should I call it a Nightmare) was about the United States of America, a country that we all say that we love. Dearly!

The Prophet Isaiah would say, that "We all," have a future that can be better if we can, somehow, work together as American men and women to break this cycle of Crab Behavior.

It will not be easy for us to do as a country.

Most American feel that the U.S.A. is more divided, this year, than ever. Many Americans are dissatisfied with democracy in this country. 85% of Americans feel that we are more deeply divided than ever. They are dissatisfied with the way democracy is working in our country.
