An American Requiem : Three Men From Different Perspectives Speaking The Truth

Updated on October 16, 2015

One Nation Indivisible...

The state of American politics is a shambles. It is the most ignorant time in history that has been seen in my lifetime. It is no longer about Democratic or Republican or Libertarian or Independent politics, it is time for the American leaders, whoever they are to stand up. Here are three videos of three very different people speaking the truth. Their own versions, but still the truth. Nothing in this hub is meant to say that I endorse any of the viewpoints and certainly not the political affiliations of any of these three men. One is a media showman, one is a current politician and potential candidate for president, and one is a comedian but also now deceased. All have clear thoughts that every American should hear. That is why I have created this hub, plain and simple. Maybe there is something that can come out of it, some good that will bring back some truth to the spirit of those who will listen. So here is my 2012 prayer...

An American Requiem :
Three Men From Different Perspectives Speaking the Truth...

Sometimes you just have to say it the way it is or the way it is...

In a conversation with a show panel about the country's debt and credit downgrade, MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan passionately calls both the Democratic and Republican economic plans, "reckless, irresponsible and stupid." Yet in the fury of his almost babbling message, he spills forth knowledge and truth like a troubadour. Although I do not agree with much of his average politics in the light of day, for this moment Dylan Ratigan should be given distinction as a true American sunshine patriot. God bless America...

This is what we should be hearing more of on Capitol Hill

On the morning that President signed the NDAA 2012 act into power, this was the most powerful act of political theater that had been done in many years. Again I do not agree with everything that Ron Paul says, nor am I sure he is the best candidate for president. But Ron Paul cured my apathy for politics, he made my friends feel ashamed that they haven't read the constitution before or even yet, it made them promise themselves they will immediately read it when they have the time. He even showed support against SOPA and the censorship legislation in 2011, and did not fear Anonymous more than America's own banking system. He made many feel it's time for real change in 2012. Either way this speech is what we should be hearing more of on Capitol Hill lately.

George Carlin at his absolute best. Cuts through all the bull that enslaves us. Educate yourselves and others to how the world really works. You can educate someone into seeing societies problems- obviously Carlin did. It's funny when you look at Carlin closely as a human being. First of all, having money isn't some kind of sin. The only exception is when you stole it from other people, which George Carlin didn't. Second, I think it's wonderful that despite having 'plenty of money', he didn't change his attitude. Money´╗┐ didn't corrupt him. He didn't just sit back and make money like some people. He worked his whole life. He is a regular guy. A great American.

Another great hub, can't get over it. Politics suck, but so do the people who represent them. Thanks again for writing this piece. Smooches...

Blake, I found this fascinating. Thanks for the positive perspective. I haven't been on HubPages for months and this was a good way to plunge back into the fray... because it wasn't.
