Real Talk - Growing up in a war zone of poverty and economic disparity
Slavery was a true crime on humanity, and now true crimes are back again, Lets stop it!
The economy is a tough nut to crack for sure, it demands on us all as did slavery
Economic disparity in the environments I were raised in were so harsh that living conditioned were unbearable. My life hasn't been the best nor has it been the worst, but I can tell you that I experienced much more then just feeling bad about others. I seen for my bare eyes what it is like to live underneath the live and well breathing fruitful economy, and even when it was at its best, because the ghetto's (A true survival story from a rough New York City neighborhood) in America were designed to be the way they truly are today.
The banks succeed at earning much more from us Americans (A true hidden crime) when things are set to work the way it currently is functioning, the economy was brought down by force, and from the invisible De-regulations of the economic system itself and governmental policies (Not just in 2008 when the , but for decades on end, and since President Ronald Regan was around). This is where the occupy wall street campaign derived from, because people got tired of just sitting around and taking the all the corruption. global markets crashed
An example of how it looked where I had to grow up at
Growing up in poverty was rough
I grew up in a place in New York City where life was valued very low, where people preyed on one another like it was the jungle, and little ole me was just an innocent bystander absorbing it all. Hails of gun fire would ring out into the air as if it was OK each evening, and if you dared to take a peek outside you would see the flashes from gun fire flare and light up like it was the fourth of July.
This was a true war zone I grew up in, and in the heart of the South Bronx, where the poorest of American's had resided.
The point I am driving at here is many of us were helpless victims of our environment and no one could help us, we had to dodge bullets when we stepped outdoors, we had to hide indoors during the worst of times when the drug dealers had been going at it with their personal vendetta's. The cops would be there at times to try to put out the battles, but not always in time, and many of the youth in these neighborhoods were involved.
This is something that was an epidemic in NYC, and the murder rate was alarming for countless years due to the war on drugs. I grew up in the midst of all that madness and survived to tell the story.
My stories thus far on hubpages are in dealing with homelessness, about my families influences on my life, and one article about my moms battle with cancer, but I have loads of real stuff to write about that was truly life altering.
Everything I wrote here is real, everything I wrote is something to help change humanity in a much more positive manner, and I also started my own real world movement back about 8 months ago as many of my followers, HP friends, and fellow hubbers who drop in from time to time very well know as the "The art of being real", and recently I turned it into a Youtube series as well.
Who wouldn't empathize with those innocent victims who lived there, I grew up in such a warzone as well and in the U.S.
The acts of empathy and how it empowers us all
I feel the cries of all others worldwide who fall victim to global crimes. I sense their pain as I had my very own hardships all throughout the years. Someone told me here on hubpages that they believe that I am an empath (A person who can feel for the likes of others and on a global scale), and I have a good friend named Billybuc on hubpages (a powerful hub I wrote in dedication to my good friend Bill) who truly is one himself.
I truly can empathize with his new H.O.W. online movement entitled "Social Issues: How Do We Cure Social Ills? H.O.W.", as I chose to start my very own on hubpages like 8 months back or so as I stated here and with this hubs title. I highly recommend for folks looking to start their own true movements online, to move it onto their own Youtube channel as well.
Now if you don't have one, start a channel today, because video power will get it moving even more over time if you make it of high quality video vlog campaign, and if you have real life relevance to share as Billybuc has also done (I thought of and was inspired by Bill to start such an online movement when we had first met back in February of 2012 or so, and so he knows of what I been up to online with mine as well.)
Mine however isn't a socially based type of a campaign to rally up folks with writing, its just a single wish to get others to begin using video to do right by others today. I will be sharing what this wish entails entirely on yet another hub of mine soon to be published, and for that of humanity to think about being real towards one another. (Which means to share fairly, to be kind to one another, and to care for oneself and for that of ones family as well with a certain love for life and community). I'll come back to this very article to add such a link to it all, but for now I will simply continue to babble onwards with what this change thing truly means to me.
This is a must see video to learn about what happened to us all?
How does the governent make effective changes in the first place?
The U.S. Government for the longest time has been over run by clowns in my honest opinion. If they cared for a second, for the likes of the little people such as myself and that of my family, for most poor people just struggling Americans trying to get by day by day on scraps. If they actually truly cared, then none of this mess would have come to be today.
The so-called war on terror would have never popped up, there would have never been a September 11th, or that of its many conspiracy theories (Fahrenheit 911, Loose change etc...) lets not talk about the Iraqi false war on Weapons of Mass Destruction (began back in 2003 enacted by the late President George W, Bush) that never really existed, and what have you. The economy would have never become so vulnerable in the first place. (In my honest opinion, I think most politicians are pretty much straight liars, cheaters, criminals mostly and con artists for the most part running our government, and creating policies that suit only their needs, and needs of the rich elite.)
Well, poverty in America would have been solved long long ago if politicians truly cared, or even if the rich folks in the United States cared to put it all to an end, but quite the contrary they use poverty as a vice to steer this nation. Poverty has always been the fuel to churn out much more of the same, which is pretty much more servants to do the bidding of those whom are in money powered positions. Mainly for those who do things such as go to a drive through to grab a burger, to go to a restaurant to be served up a quick meal and so on and so fourth.
So the truest fabric of our great nation here in America, truly survives off of the fact that poverty indeed does exist, and to tell you the truth it isn't going anywhere as long as there is a such thing as rich and poor, as well as all the other extremes that are to fall in between which aren't many today.
What use to be considered that of the middle class has definitely fallen out of the loop of the equation, and there is a sharp curve today on what it is to survive in this sort of modern lifestyle period. Either you have it or you don't, and its harsh but so true that things do not look like they are going to be getting any better no time soon. (We will all see what is to come of the re-election of President Obama, and for our once great nation a change is at hand for sure which ever way it shall occur)
Does the Obama Administration have us all in mind, will they help us fix America, do our Children have hope for productive change?
The winter is here and now, can change occur in the cold times and online to stop economic crimes
Can we really change things ourselves and or collectively speaking as writers
Even though many folks claim to feel as if they can make changes to fix it all. I sense there has always been another agenda here in America, that people aren't really considering that we all must contend with. This is what has driven many of us to extremes of being excessive compulsive consumers and that the undeniable elements of selfishness which stems from it all, that of hatred towards others (All forms of hatred), and that of negativity that's consistently being shoved down our throats by the mainstream media which holds the monopolies and corporate metropolis in its place.
The only way for our government to change, people on all levels must give up their desire for living in luxury, and for trying to merely control everyone, and everything all of the time. The problem with our more modernized lifestyles, is that its configured in such a way that no matter how hard you try, the system will spit your efforts right back out, as if it never existed in the first place, and mainly because of all the control factors that are truly in place to prevent from a single person from altering the preexisting status quo (Or current state of affairs according to Wikipedia's definition).
This is one issue that need to be addressed, and its all about the ways our monetary system is designed to filter out any anomalies that exists, so that only certain groups of individuals whom own most of the percentages of things on this planet can seek to benefit, while all others can fall under a sort of dependency of it all.
Someone who experienced all that I have growing up and is determined to bring real change to the community in the Bronx
Art of being real series poll
Do you think we can change America by being real with one another, and by fixing the poverty issue once and for all
