Banning All Abortions In Louisiana! Sending Women And Doctors To Prison For 15 Years! The GOP Again! GOP LaBruzzo!

Updated on April 28, 2011

David Duke's Successor!

The GOP Poster Child for the Legalization of Retroactive Abortion?
The GOP Poster Child for the Legalization of Retroactive Abortion?

Legislating Morality: GOP 's LaBruzzo To Imprison Women And Doctors For Feticide!

The GOP in Louisiana is not only planning to change the name of abortion to feticide, a bill proposed by GOP Rep. John LaBruzzo will ban all abortions in the state without exception and send women and doctors to prison. For how long? Up to 15 years! LaBruzzo, notorious for proposing that the state pay poor women as much as $1,000.00 to have their tubes tied, has also suggested tax rewards to high income couples to have more children. The 'feticide' bill was scheduled for discussion beginning on Monday, 04/25/2011.

In 2009, GOP LaBruzzo attempted to mandate drug screening for all welfare recipients. In LaBruzzo's mind, all welfare recipients may be criminals. Of note, LaBruzzo comes from the same area of the state where David Duke was so popular. He represents the same residents.

Give his office a call. Let him know what you think. Doesn't matter whether you are from Louisiana or not. LaBruzzo wants to eliminate Roe V Wade, no exceptions. His office number is (504) 833-7788. Email him at: .

Verdict Is In! GOP Has No Boundaries! Women To Have No Rights!

John LaBruzzo was born July 6, 1970, a few years prior to the passage of Roe V Wade. His mother did not have a choice. Hmmm!

LaBruzzo and many of his GOP colleagues throughout the country are convinced that a challenge to Roe V Wade is long overdue. This Congressman knows that the bill, if passed, will be challenged in court, hopefully all the way to the US Supreme Court, where they believe the votes are on their side. Maybe so! The GOP is convinced that women's rights should be taken away, maybe their friends on the bench agree.

The GOP Tea Party is always so concerned about Sharia Law infiltrating the legal justice system in this country. Sharia law purportedly, does little to nothing to protect women and their rights. Is this a game of whose extremists are better or worse? It seems like it is, for women, anyway. Clearly, the GOP Tea Party is trying everything they can think of to legislate away any rights to choice for women. Who knows? Destroy a woman's right to choose and then next, take away a woman's right to vote.

Where is that GOP small government that they pretend to believe in? The answer is simple. That small GOP government will be in every doctor's office, at every woman's appointment, violating privacy rights, ready to escort you and your physician all the way to prison!

Approved or Defeated, The Agenda Is Clear!

As I was researching the state of Louisiana and Representative LaBruzzo, I noticed that they have a Kid's Page on the government website. It provides Louisiana children with a glimpse into Louisiana and fun facts. The intro to the page states:

Hi! Welcome to the Louisiana Kids Fun and Education Page. We live in a very colorful state which is full of unique culture and history. In the following pages you will find fun and exciting activities for you to do while learning more about Louisiana!

Yes, Kids! Louisiana is full of unique culture. Nowhere did I find mention of the clowns that have participated in the state's government or the circus fans that have elected them...Buffoons!

I am not sure what you are suggesting here. Are you saying that because you believe that women will never be equal that we should give up and just accept these ridiculous attempts at legislating against women's rights?

So, even though I am confused by your comment, I am going to try to respond.

1)If a woman gets hit by a man or vice versa, the battery or assault is a crime and should be prosecuted. Hitting a woman is not just frowned upon, it is illegal. You say the system doesn't work in that regards and in many ways I agree with you. That is why we must continue to advocate for uniform and stricter prosecution of abusers, be they men or women. Nothing is gained if we give up because we feel powerless.

2)An abortion is a personal issue. Abortion is legal in this country. It has been since Roe V Wade. That battle became settled law in the 1970's. If you are suggesting that we ignore the latest GOP efforts to circumvent the law because we "have" no say, then you sound too willing to give up your rights. What rights are next?

    3) As for "what if a man wants a woman to have an abortion", I am confused. If the woman does not want one, she cannot be forced.

    4) When you say that things work the way the rich want them to work, I tend to agree with you. They buy Congress, but we cannot give up. I am almost 58, so older than most people (my kids say older than everyone), but I am not willing to let that stand. That is why I continue to advocate and work for our rights to be heard and to make a difference.

    5) As for my vote not counting, that may be, what with all of the evidence about computerized voting scandals. But that does not justify sitting back and allowing that to become the death of democracy. We keep pushing back! We keep fighting.

Finally, I don't know how old you are or what your life has been like. But I get the feeling that you have a story to tell, that you may have been pushed down one too many times and that you have given up; that you think you cannot stand up anymore. If you have daughters, you owe it to them to teach them to fight back! That if not given their rights, they must fight for them. Otherwise, we will all be wearing berkas.

Well, Women want to be equal right? What if they get hit by a man? Do they still want to get treated equal? Of course not! I am not saying its right for a Women or Man for that matter to get abused, but if Women want to be treated as an equal, it cant just be for business standards. Hitting a women is frowned upon, and will always be frowned upon, in relation to that, Women will never be treated as an Equal to a Man, no pun intended, its just how the system works.

-Saying "Women Have no Rights" is just being Selfish, what if the man wants the girl/women to have an abortion? Then the story changes. I'm completely neutral with this, just pointing out the bullcrap.

-Things work the way the Rich want it to work. You have no rights, you have no "Say" in what goes on. Do you honestly think that your Vote counts? Be real. Things are set up to be what they are because the Wealthy business men deem it necessary.

    Dear Credence2,

Thank you for speaking up. I agree that this is designed to put poor women in prison. They have little value to the GOP. Too extreme? What the GOP is doing, state by state, is too extreme. It is the death of democracy as we know it and instead, corporate theocracy will be the rule of government.

We all speak negatively about the mullahs who rule over Iran with the iron fist of religion. Ha! Everytime I hear it, I chuckle to myself. It is part of the game: Show me your extremists, I will show you mine!

In the 1920's, Tony LaBruzzo was the godfather of the most notorious crime family in Louisiana. I have been trying to find evidence that this rep is related to the Family---good Christian Mafioso family...(I am Italian and allowed to say that)

Jillian, you first paragraph explains it all. These people are bent on genocide and eugenics cleverly shrouded in the abortion debate.

I consider this racist, constituting an attack on poor people in general and black folks in particular

I despise the GOP and its hypocrisy, we all have to work to turn that lumbering elephant icon of theirs into a mastadon.

    Thanks again

Go read my email, bad boy! We were going to put you on a time out, but that would give you time to contemplate how you can best get yourself into trouble- Clarence Thomas- what can I say? He is disgusting, and yes, the case will go to the Supreme Court and if they rule on the privacy issue, which is the issue that the original court decided on, then, we can hope the law will not change. The make-up of the court is extremist. The conservative side consists of Koch sell-outs. Roberts and Thomas, specifically. They have no justification for sitting on the bench.

I tried Peace and Love but Mud Slinging and Swords seem more appropriate for Tea Breaths. We put Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court after the pubic hair on Coke incident. How can a court with Clarence Thomas be anything but a joke. Possibly the most unfathomable combination is a BLACK MAN with an affection for RIGHT WING INJUSTICES. I mention this because this assualt against women is headed straight for the Supreme Court.

    Dear Lela,

My son, who is really easy going, and gets along well with everyone, has become so angry about the direction of these little dictators. It bothers me, because we shouldn't have to get angry and become so divided. The GOP is forcing us to all take a stand on things that we should not have to. They are doing and saying things that I never thought possible! Have often thought of George Orwell's writings and how appropriate they are in these times. The quote from 'Animal Farm' that has always stuck with me is, "All animals are created equal, but some are more equal than others."

The second quote that I love is, "No one believes more firmly than Comrade Napoleon that all animals are equal. He would be only too happy to let you make your decisions for yourselves. But sometimes you might make the wrong decisions, comrades, and then where should we be?"

Maybe Orwell, in Animal Farm, was not only talking about Stalinist Russia, he was talking about the future Tea Party GOP.

Jillian, I remember in the book "1984" how it told of an oppressive government looking over our shoulders at every turn, promoting suspicion, fear and hatred among each other.

Where the Tea Party and the Current GOP is headed is much more frightening than anything I read in this book or saw in the movie, years ago.

Terry commented in one of my articles that what would make him happy was planting a tree on the grave of a Tea Partier. Terry, I am beginning to agree with you.

I still see the infringement on our rights as being a threat to those promoting them, ultimately, as many of us are being pushed to the limit of our tolerance and that will eventually put those people in harm's way.

Thank you, so much, Jillian, for being the eyes and ears for the rest of us. I appreciate you so very much.

Just be patient...if La Bruzzo is like the rest of his GOP fascist colleagues, we'll be reading about him screwing his secretary or having some perverted extra-curricular sexual experience sooner or later...all the while espousing, "basic family values." I share your outrage, in the meantime. Up and Useful.

If this passes, it will be challenged, but then, with the Supreme Court we have, who knows what will happen?

The guy is a nut! But he has run unopposed! So, I guess the voters are extremists, too-they did elect David Duke, after all...

Just gets crazier and crazier. Are the voters completely brain dead to elect these fanatics? I have no wisdom to offer to this disgusting situation. Where is the ACLU?

I keep trying to understand this country's fascination with putting people in prison. Now we will imprison people for exercising choice and rights with their own bodies. This just blows my mind. The GOP is off the rails!
