Ben Carson Stirs The Pot of Controversy

Updated on November 13, 2015

Ben Carson

The Republican Candidate for President in 2016, Ben Carson is a man with an opinion. These are not just any ordinary opinions though; they're quite controversial and bombastic.
Ben Carson likes to invoke Godwin's law: the law that states a debate gets shut down the moment one invokes Nazi Germany to make a point. Ben Carson specifically compared Barack Obama to Hitler, which led people to scratch their heads and wonder what the point of such an outlandish comparison might be.

A statement taken from Beforeitsnews.com said that Carson has even referred to Obama’s Internal Revenue Service and Department of Homeland Security as using “GESTAPO” tactics, targeting Obama’s political opposition like Hitler’s Gestapo did for him. Needless to say, Carson's claim may very well be coming from another solar system.

Carson stated that he would not have cooperated with the recent Oregon Community College mass killer, and that he would have urged the other would-be victims to rush the shooter:
I would say, 'Hey, guys, everybody attack him. He may shoot me, but he can't get us all.
(Quote provided by Town Hall - Tyler Elder)

This is not some deranged game of chess where a piece can simply be replaced if broken. No, human lives were at jeopardy in this school shooting, and apparently Ben Carson sees no problem with possibly losing a life in order to take down the shooter.

A quote from a QT columnist states,

You are now bearing witness to an arms race of stupid, because stupid is in such high demand from the GOP base at the present moment. Stupid is what gets you attention, and attention is what gets you better polling numbers.

If only Carson had some form of human sensibility and would recognize the hostages were scared, young kids who didn't want to lose their lives. Only the bravest of people are willing to possibly sacrifice their own life in order to save multiple other lives; even then, who's not to say the hero merely gets mowed down by gun fire from the shooter, resulting in death.

First, GQ. What incensed the writer was Carson's assertion that he would not have cooperated with the recent Oregon Community College mass killer, and that he would have urged the other would-be victims to rush the shooter. "I would say, 'Hey, guys, everybody attack him. He may shoot me, but he can't get us all.'" said Carson. To the GQ columnist, Carson must be on performance-enhancing drugs:

You are now bearing witness to an arms race of stupid, because stupid is in such high demand from the GOP base at the present moment. Stupid is what gets you attention, and attention is what gets you better polling numbers.

Yes Dear 2 years ago from Cape Cod, USA

I honestly think there are people trying to bring down the US gvt, and he is one.

Armstrong Williams is his spokesman, and that sends up huge red flags.

As with Rush Limbaugh, whom Armstrong filled in for all the time, they dont WANT democracy, they want neo con rule. Harsh Right Rule.

Rule under barrell of gun, and model gvt on how Israel deals with Palestinians.

DHS and Patriot Act used ex STASI agents to model it by.

Koch made fortune working w Stalin. Koch funding Carson.

The scary part to me is they will use citizens as military. Use those w guns and their shared world view as force to keep liberals and other "dissenters" in line.

Just what do you think water the tree of liberty means?

To me, its a direct threat.
