Bernie Sanders: The President America Needs, But Does Not Deserve.
You've all heard his name. Some support him, some do not. The reality of the situation, however, is that Bernie Sanders will be the next President of the United States of America for one simple reason: he has captured the hearts of the youth. Young adults typically have the lowest voter turn out, but if you have been following Bernie Sanders and his campaign by any means, you will see that that he is mobilizing this force to be reckoned with. We are essentially the ones who actually have anything to gain or lose from this monumental election. With most of us dealing with the currently outrageous costs of college education, reaching the point in our lives where healthcare and minimum wage are meaningful concerns, Bernie has shown us that he is going to be forward with us. That he is going to look out for our future, and he has the track record to support that promise. No other candidate can really compete with that.
Men. Women. Children. Black. White. Hispanic. Asian. Straight. Gay. Transsexual. Everyone is included in the benefits of Bernie's plans. The only losses are those that the long-enduring 1% will suffer when they lose the Ill-gotten gains and are forced to bail out the middle class, the way we bailed them out.
Many are skeptical, and for good reason. This man is a socialist, which has been considered a dirty word for generations in this country, demonized by the conservatives. The fact of the matter is, we already have socialist programs here, and the rest of the world has far more intensive ones and are doing better than us with those systems. The tyranny of the conservative Americans who value the interests only of corporations who are willing to line their pockets with money must be put to an end. Bernie Sanders is the president the U.S. needs but does not deserve.
We have allowed our government to be bought, and we have slouched and slumped through the years, not becoming educated enough in our political process. What Bernie brings to the table is not a convincing arsenal of falsehoods. He brings us change and puts it into OUR HANDS. We the people of the United States. His campaign raised 6 million dollars within 24 hours of winning New Hampshire. The average donation was around 35$. This is people power. Individuals working together to beat the self proclaimed masters in Washington.
