Blue Dogs Beware; a Yes Vote on Health Care Will Result in a Bunch of New Dogs!

Updated on November 4, 2009

This election sweep by Republicans in Virginia and New Jersey was repudiation of Hussein Obama and his Marxist policies, and in particular a rejection of his Health Care proposal. The election of Chris Christie in New Jersey, the bluest of blue states put the arrogant big spender Jon Corzine in his place. This was a huge blow to Obama considering Corzine outspent the Republican by 5 to1. Corzine's defeat sends a message that the nation is moving sharply against Obama.

These two elections, Virginia and New Jersey, send a loud and clear message to the so called Blue Dog Democrats who are considering how to vote on health care reform. The Virginia results are the most astounding. Bob McDonnell, who became Virginia’s first Republican Governor in 8 years, defeated Creigh Deeds, his Democratic challenger receiving 59% of the votes to Deeds’ 41%. This same electorate voted 53% to 44% IN 2008 in favor of the Democrat Barrack Hussein Obama over his Republican John (I couldn’t have run a more inept campaign) McCain! Thus Blue Dogs beware; in just one year Barrack Hussein Obama and his band of Merry Socialists have alienated the voters of Virginia to such an extent there was a 25% voter swing! If you can’t do the math, that’s ¼ of the electorate voting differently than they did just one year ago!

The Republican victory in New Jersey was even more astounding. In a state where Barrack Hussein Obama defeated John McCain 57% to 42% in 2008 Chris Christie won with 49% of the vote to Democrat, John Corzine’s 45%. That’s a 19% swing in one year in a state Obama came out 6 different times to personally rally for Corzine. If this isn’t a direct repudiation of Obama and his policies then what the hell is!

With more than 80 Democratic congressmen and 20 senators up for reelection in 2010 coming from states that McCain carried in 2008 these elections in Virginia and New Jersey are sending a loud and clear message to Blue Dogs; America is not a Socialist Country! When a Republican wins Virginia by twenty points, it sends a message to red-state Democratic Congressmen to take cover. Polls indicate a declining level of popular approval of the Obama policies (Rasmussen shows his job approval at 46 percent), but to see Democrats losing or barely squeaking out victories in solidly blue states sends a far clearer message to the Democrats in Congress. Until last night, the so-called blue dog Democrats, could bask in the light of Obama’s success in 2008 but now, they must hear elephant hoofs thundering up behind them.

So, what will the effect of last night’s Republican sweep have on the pending attempt of the Obama Oligarchy to nationalize Health Care In the coming weeks? Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Harry Reid will no doubt be asking their troops to walk the party line; cast potentially career-ending votes for healthcare. If this legislation is passed over the objections of the vast majority of Americans the results will be catastrophic; Medicare cuts, higher taxes, and fines on the uninsured and the Blue Dogs know this! But if they hold their noses and vote yes as Pelosi and Reid are coercing them to do, it will most likely be one of the last votes they ever cast as a U.S. Senator or U.S. Representative!

I hope the Winds of Change are strong enough to continue and blow through 2010; blowing through the House and Senate so as to eliminate all the Liberal Democrats. I know that’s a big Hope but I do believe if the so called Blue Dogs cave in and vote for this crap because of “promised pork”, there will be a new pack of dogs dining on the pork received!

As far as this administration is concerned they don’t give a #@*t what we the people think! They figure they have 4 years to remake this country in their own image and likeness!

We can all pray that the few dems who still think for themselves at all will take note of the direction in which the wind of "change" is NOW blowing. Maybe that election will help the message to become clearer to the fools running this administration.

You are right ABOUT “keeping the Passion for the Fight” going! After 911 even the Democrats stood with us but it didn’t take long for Soros to come out with his Move On Dot Org group which basically said we deserved it because in the words of our New Fearless Leader; we have been “Arrogant, Divisive and even Derisive!” Last night was just the start of the race, not the finish line. I hope we have the stamina to go the distance! The Blue Dogs hold the baton for the last leg of the race, if they falter we lose!

      Great American

Pelosi will probably have the Capitol Police arrest all those that attend having them charged with engaging in Hate Speech! We do indeed have big fight ahead in order to stop the liberal takeover of our healthcare; I just hope we don’t lose our Passion!

      Thanks for stopping in!

This is one great step, but you are right. The passion has got to keep going into 2010, then 2012. I am looking forward to see how the rally goes today. The Blue Dogs need to make some very important choices in the weeks to come or they will be out. Independents are moving towards the right and that should scare them even more.

I hope it carries over to the Thursday rally at the capitol,

and it should be interesting to see if Pelosi tries to block those who attend.. So much for freedom of speech..

We still have a big fight ahead and need to stop the liberal

      takeover of our healthcare.

I only hope the American People will remember just how angry they are today in 2010. Look how quickly we forgot 911!!

Great hub. When I watched David Axelrod minimize the importance of these victories, I literally felt my head blow up . His arrogance is just too much to take. I long for the moment when Obama becomes a one term President.
