A Group that Attacks Republicans is Exposed!

Updated on September 8, 2016

Ever hear of CREW (Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington)? A reading of their mission statement sounds like something that is sorely needed in Washington to bring elected officials corrupted by special interest groups to account and to rid Washington of politician "crooks". What a great idea, a non-partisan group that can police Washington politicians and hold them accountable for their corruption. We are on our way to a perfect world!

Reporters and commentators want you to think this organization is making sure that both sides of the aisle play fair and is keeping tabs on Washington. The organization that is the darling of Rachel Maddow, Crew is often described by the mainstream media as a “non partisan watch dog.” But the TRUTH is they don't come any more partisan than CREW. Just like most liberal groups whose activities never fall in line with the organization's title, an analysis of CREW's activities show it to be no different, so don't be fooled. It is just another "hit" group full of left wing liberals and funded by liberals and whose real mission is to attack Republicans.

All one has to do is look at those who are at CREW to see many had worked for Democrats like Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer or liberal organizations like the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) and the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union). A review of past and current staff shows none had worked for Republicans or organizations that lean right before they joined CREW.

What about CREW's funding? This may surprise you, but won't surprise any one who is on to the liberal attack game. Just like many other left wing organizations (too numerous to mention) Crew is funded by George Soros. Click here to find out more.

So the facts about how they attack Republicans aren't surprising:

• CREW IRS complaints were 100 percent aimed at Republicans or groups that lean right,

• More than 75% of FEC complaints by CREW were aimed at Republicans or groups that lean right,

• CREW consistently targets Republicans or organizations that lean right with congressional ethics complaints, Federal Election Commission (FEC) and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) only eight times more frequently than Democrats;

• Republicans were the target of over 80% of CREW complaints or requests for action with the Senate Ethics Committee and 75% of CREW complaints or requests for action with the House Ethics Committee;

• Out of 51 lawsuits filed by CREW, 75% of which were aimed at the Bush Administration or Republicans. 18% only were targeted at Democrats.

To discover if CREW is a Democratic lap dog or a non partisan watch dog visit and you’ll discover the obvious answer. Once you check out the site you can share this with your friends and when the next news article that features CREW propaganda comes out they won't be duped.

Maybe you know of similar analysis of other so called "non-partisan" groups that attack Republicans (or Democrats). Supply facts and I'll add it.

Thanks for commenting ... search for unbiased news reporting? Good luck, because there is no such thing as unbiased news reporting. The issue is how biased and in what direction which is a simple problem to solve due to the studies that have been done on various aspects of the subject. Studies which btw often surprise one who listens to the self analysis propaganda offered by different media outlets. I'd suggest you start your search here... This link shows how the bias of any particular group taints the way they view the (perceived) bias of a media outlet:

but here I think you will find the best anlysis of the media:

Well, I won't engage in a political discussion here, even though you seem to have written this piece with that in mind, Mr. tsadjatko. As for the search for unbiased news reporting, I'm still looking for it. Nevertheless, I love PBS's "Frontline." Later!

Interesting research. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

Now, I'm neither pro-Republican nor pro-Democrat. I think they're the choice between Fascism and Fascism Lite. Given that they seem to both lead us to fascism but that the Republicans do it slightly more rapidly, it follows that Republican activities would be that much more corrupt. Could that account for the party discrepancy in this group?

      Be well,

      - Satori

You've exposed a good example of the maxim: "Nothing is as it appears on the surface."

Bigger and bigger government !! Not only is there payoffs for Obama's cronies look at what he does to take care of unions so their dues keep going to the Democrat party - this is how the stimulus is nothing but a slush fund for the Dems.

The number of federal workers earning six-figure salaries has exploded during the recession, according to a USA TODAY analysis of federal salary data.

Federal employees making salaries of $100,000 or more jumped from 14% to 19% of civil servants during the recession's first 18 months — and that's before overtime pay and bonuses are counted.

Federal workers are enjoying an extraordinary boom time —in pay and hiring — during a recession that has cost 7.3 million jobs in the private sector.

The highest-paid federal employees are doing best of all on salary increases. Defense Department civilian employees earning $150,000 or more increased from 1,868 in December 2007 to 10,100 in June 2009, the most recent figure available.

When the recession started, the Transportation Department had only one person earning a salary of $170,000 or more. Eighteen months later, 1,690 employees had salaries above $170,000.

The trend to six-figure salaries is occurring throughout the federal government, in agencies big and small, high-tech and low-tech. The primary cause: substantial pay raises and new salary rules.

"There's no way to justify this to the American people. It's ridiculous," says Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, a first-term lawmaker who is on the House's federal workforce subcommittee. source:

Great piece. Perhaps they could have a look at where Obama gets a lot of his 'bundling' money from, and then how he rewards these massive donors with jobs in government.

tsadjatko~ I saw Peter's comment and that is one of my pet peeves; pointing the finger. One wrong does not justify the other.

I have a friend on hubapges, maybe you already know him- "themanwithnopants" (Jim). He has started a group that does similar to what Crew intended except he is the real deal...seriously. Give him a read and his group is "Housefire Project".

It's such a Shame that no one seem to have the American people's Interests at heart...I'm a is my husband. We live a good life, because we save, we DON'T spent what we don't have. The Democratic Party is not the party of the 70's anymore. I became a Republican in the 80's...Voted once for Clinton and then came back again. My point is George Soros, is Evil and doesn't care about people or this Country. So another Group funded by him is not going to help...At least Fox News gives BOTH sides...No spin! I look forward to following your Hubs, Tsadjatko, and thanks for becoming a Follower of Mine...Good Informative HUB!

tsadjatko--The list is probably endless of these types of organizations but they need to be exposed. The lame stream media for example is nothing but one huge liberal propaganda organization with few exceptions.Government funded agencies like the NAACP, the ACLU, PBS, NPR,planned parenthood etc all serve a similar purpose of propagating left wing idealogy. Thanx for getting the message out! WBA

Peter! I just know you really didn't mean to say that. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you just had a knee jerk reaction to this piece. I just know you are not the type of person who would point to bad behavior to justify other bad behavior - only children do that - "Yeah, I told a lie but bobby lies too".

Is there a reason why when presented with indisputable facts of intentional and dispicable social and political deception on the left one should deflect the conversation to FOX News? This hub is about exposing CREW and their hidden agenda, which the mainstream media is complicit in hiding, and therefore purposely misinforming and manipulating the public, which is without any doubt their hidden (not so hidden anymore) agenda.

If you feel Fox News is as agregious an organization as CREW and the main stream media let's do a hub showing how Fox News is no different than CREW and those who promote CREW as nonpartisan. Yeah, that would be great if you could present the evidence of how Fox files Federal Election Commission (FEC) and Internal Revenue Service (IRS)complaints or requests for action with the Senate Ethics Committee and complaints or requests for action with the House Ethics Committee practically all against just Democrats? Show how Fox promotes organizations as non-partisan who are nothing but partisan. I'd love to see it. I'll do the hub if you can get me the FACTS.

Frankly say anything you want about CREW but don't point to other's bad behavior to justify the bad behavior which is the subject of this hub...this is not a hub about Fox News (yet - could be if I as shown some facts).

I just know that you would not really justify bad behavior by citing other bad behavior!

If you have facts that prove your insinuation that Fox does the same thing. Maybe we can agree on this: then they are both dispicable! Isn't that what you really meant to say? I hope so.

There now, that's better. Thanks for reading this brief hub and commenting.

Why is this different than what FOX news does? As a matter of fact they are more fair and balanced than FOX is, they at least attack some liberals. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
