Can I be honest: Can't wait for the election to be over?!!

Updated on October 19, 2016

A picture worth a few words

Rant on!

Okay, I have never in my 33 years on this planet since a three ring circus this up close and personal. Oh wait, I did go to a circus, but this was more of a freak show. I am so over it, if I was two people I would be over it last election. As a former Political Science major I fully expected the worst in this election, but oh my God did they far surpass several times over my expectations on how low can you go? We are creeping the level of pond scum my good people and I use that term so loosely.

I have witness campaigns solely ran on not hope, not plans for the future, but fear, anger, and complete foolishness. I wish they had considered Michelle Obama's words, "When they go low we go high." I heard it quoted, but the principal was lost. I will say Hillary tried, but Donald goated her back to the pig pen no matter how many times she tried to rise above.

I will agree with her when she said, he was all about the emails, but he was so focused on her husband and emails we couldn't get to the real issues that much. I know that's all Donald knows if you followed his reality television career mudslinging, hair pulling, double crossing, speaking out of both sides of your mouth is the name of the game. The dirtier and manipulative the better the ratings, but this is real life folks.

I do not want my Commander and Chief let alone the leader of the free world to be as crazy as the reality television king. As his allegations were brought to the forefront about his supposed "locker room" chatter, ask yourself when was Chubb Rock ever in a locker room. Maybe he was lost and found himself in one, but he was never an athlete so that half-hearted attempt to divert his perversion need to be shut down.

But what I have seen as a result of this mudslinging was complete and total madness from the people. I swear I could close my eyes and we would be in the Romantic Period or the Age of Enlightenment or even the Industrial Revolution. For crying out loud, I felt I was part of the French and Indian War. You have people defending the church as if there is not a separation of church and state in the Constitution.

You have people literally feeling it is their Christian duty to correct everyone in every aspect of their life and yet so deathly fearful Hillary will control the church. I think you are afraid of Hillary controlling the church, but you can't even give your brothers and sister the right to voice their own opinion. Whatever happen to agreeing to disagree respectfully. No such luck!

I have people find every skeleton known to man to drag forward against their opposition. I am left thinking there are some pretty disturbed people hiding under the guise of Christianity. Christianity should never be an excuse to do as many have done persecute people who are different or think differently from you. It is never a justification to bully, demean or dehumanize anyone. If you think that you can do so under the guise of rebuke, I will implore you to go find the meaning of the word in its original language, then let's do lunch.

It says in the bible judge and you will be judged. If Jesus himself did not demean even those we consider by our standards and their standards in his time period to be the less revered what gives you the right to harass and do so a cross? I do not think it does and Jesus would not stand behind your maniac behaviors. I am not saying that some Democrats will not wallow in the mud with you in an unorthodox game of how low can you go. I am saying, I won't, I honestly think more of myself, mud is not my thing, but if that's what you do, do it, but I will not participate.

With that rant off my now light chest and that little political monkey off my back. I will forced thankfully one last time to be party to witness the freak show one last time tonight. And it promises to be out of the is world as usual, but I never have to see this again for another four year and hopefully by then it will not be that much of a free show. If not I will be taking a leave of absence, but I will be casting my vote regardless.

With that being said, I will say I am a firm believer in the healing of humor and I will provide you will humorous memes, gifs, and videos of the sensational shenanigans we witnessed in this election in the history of politics. Good luck folks and please for the love of Oreo Cookies and all that is chocolate and melts in your mouth not your hands vote! Please the rock the vote! I'm done and thanks for listening to my rant.

Greensleeves I would vote up your comments I echo your sentiments exactly. If this was a reality show it would be the highest rated reality show on TV and Donald would be Donald, but this sadness is our lives and we can't turn this off and be done. Maybe the electors will change the outcome, but besides that we'll have to wait another 4 years for peace of mind hopefully.

Well I'm writing this comment three days after the election, and it didn't get any better did it? And we ended up with a result which nobody predicted, and a man whom nobody in the rest of the world can really believe is actually going to be president. And nobody knows what he's going to do as president either. Indeed, somewhat bizarrely, most are probably hoping that all his pledges during the campaign were lies, and that perhaps he'll adopt a more pragmatic approach now that his ego has been satisfied.

Your title brittvan says 'Can't wait for the election to be over'. That's totally understandable, but I think now a lot of people can't wait for the next four years to be over. Maybe then we can get back to sanity! :)

@vocalcoach It was like a repeat three ring circus at best. It really makes you feel like you said and insult to all that's intelligent and I was waiting for the mud wrestling session. LOL..

This entire debate is such a farce. I'm turning my television off! My intelligence has been insulted. :)

I agree with you so whole-heartedly. I had to come to a similar conclusion and just realize no matter the outcome I will vote and I am going to be okay.

People have been having fun with the debate like your video. One was Baby it's cold outside. I found this election process great material for political satire. It tried to spread a message through humor.

Three ring circus is too generous. Shameful. We have two candidates that are morally bankrupt, maybe in different ways, but nonetheless, terrible character. In the beginning I got all stressed out. What has become of this country? Then the elections and I said, It will get worse, what are we going to do? I had my outrage, my fatalism and then God got hold of my heart. Whatever happens, Jesus is still King and whatever he allows or makes happen we can trust he is being just and we who love and believe in him must focus on the kingdom of God. This ought to be the Christian's finest hour as far as spreading the good news, and offering hope to the hopeless. We need to be praying for the souls of our leaders.
