Chick-Fil-A Day Today in Billings Montana
Without a franchisee
Clint Eastwood has been added to my daily searches along with George Zimmerman and Chick-Fil-A. Last Saturday I read that Billings, Montana will have a Chick-Fil-A Day ... without a Chick-Fil-A location.
Montana Family Foundation (MFF)
Butte, Montana, 4KXLF.com News reported that Montana Family Foundation will open a Chick-Fil-A drive through on September 8 to support traditional family values. According to MFF President Jeff Laszloffy, the majority of Montana’s citizens share the same values as Dan Cathy of Chick-Fil-A. The drive through will be open from 3 pm to 6 pm and will be called Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day 2.0. The event will be a fundraiser where, for a donation of $20 per person, one will get Chick-Fil-A chicken, coleslaw, and chocolate chip cookies.
Before it is cooked, chicken looks like this!
Where's the scoop
Well today is September 8. I just did my daily Googling and don’t see anything about Chick-Fil-A or Billings. The Facebook invitation page shows 8 invitation confirmations, including one lesbian couple. Since the event is from 3 to 6 pm, possibly there will be no reports until later this evening.
My thought is … are they flying in Chick-Fil-A entrees or are they cooking their own recipe in honor of Chick-Fil-A? Is there a franchise in the offing? If the chicken is flown in, what happens if there is a flight delay?
Today, September 9, I found an article on KPAX about a counter rally at Pita Pit by the ACLU. Montana Family Foundation decided to "not" ship in Chick-Fil-A because they didn't want to compromise quality. Good! I'm waiting for results of the competing rallies. http://www.kpax.com/news/chick-fil-a-appreciation-day-draws-counter-rally/
