Christians who supported 45, Change Your Names

Updated on December 30, 2017

WASP is a better name for you

I'm back blogging. Yet, don't expect me to answer your comments or to respond to your diatribes. I'm here to call our those people who use Christianity to prove their superiority. I've studied white evangelicals in the south all my life. I accepted learned and taught the Bible to them and they are not Christian. They do not follow the Christ of the Bible and never have. It is historical fact that the Puritans, from whom they descend, were white supremacists. It is a fact that it was their beliefs and values that much of American 'culture' was founded on. It is a fact they nurtured slavery and entrenched it in early American Culture so much that it took a war to free them.

The Puritans described Christianity in Black and White. Good men's souls were white and protected. Bad men's souls were black and could not protect them. Puritans came to America and began indentured servitude. Whites could not be chattel property. They had to be held for a certain amount of time, usually not more than seven years. Blacks were held by Puritans at all levels of the ministry and treated no better than cows by many. Remember, Puritan society was theocratic. It was ruled by God and the men who spoke for him. Cotton Mather and other Puritan ministers were concerned about the souls of slaves. Not slavery itself.

This perversity would morph in the South into the Southern Baptists. They were formed out of a belief that slavery was biblical. Until 1820, Baptist from the North and South mostly abolitionists. However, in the 1840s as 2nd Awakening was beginning, the bells of the Civil War were beginning to toll. Southern Baptists changed. They changed so much that by 1845 a split was inevitable. The Southern Baptist Convention was formed.

The Convention vehemently defended slavery as a biblical institution. One of its leaders, Dr. Richard Furman wrote, the right of holding slaves is clearly established in the Holy Scriptures, both by precept and example.

After slavery was abolished, many members from many denominations joined the Ku Klux Klan. But deacons and ministers from Southern Baptist Churches played an integral part. Many openly preached for continued segregation and supported the institution.

Recently, Roy Moore was nominated to the Senate by the good people of Alabama. Moore was twice elected to the Alabama Supreme Court and ejected both times for not following the law. During the campaign, it was revealed that Moore thought America would be a better place if we repealed all of the Amendments after the 10th. The ones that freed the slaves, guaranteed the right to vote, gave women the vote, the ones about due process, and the rules that govern who can vote. Those.

He also said that America was a better place during slavery. Seriously! However, the race turned to Doug Jones. It was discovered a younger Moore loved to cruise his local mall and chase teenagers. Several women came forward and said that Moore had propositioned them as a teen. One young lady said that Moore had ASKED HER MOTHER (we'll get back to that later) to take her out when she was 14. He drove her to an apartment, and took off her clothes and made her touch him through his underwear. Another young lady said that Moore offered her a ride from work. He sexually attacked her in his car behind the restaurant. Many people in his hometown remembered Moore being banned from the mall. Some are police officers One pastor justified Moore's actions by saying there was something pure about 14-year-olds.

President 45 is accused by almost 20 women of sexual assault and admitted as much on tape. Yet, 80% of white evangelicals voted for him and Moore in elections. Many white supremacists are running for office as Republicans in the next election cycle.

The Southern Baptist Convention recently apologized for slavery. It took until 1995 for the Convention to denounce slavery. However, many of its members have not denounced racism.

Their hypocrisy is not hidden. Racism only works if the worst white is better than the best black. Their vitriol during the presidency of Barack Obama and acquiescence during the 45's presidency is clear evidence that their Christianity has less to do with Christ and more to do with skin pigmentation.

It's time for real Christians to denounce superiority and become a servant. I once heard a story in a Southern Baptist Church of King whose name was Bruce. A criminal was brought before him with the same name. He had an extensive record. The king looked at him and said, "Young man, either change your name or change your ways."

I would say the same thing to white evangelicals who voted for 45 and Moore. Change your name or change your ways. You are Protestant. You are white. WASP, White Anglo-Saxon Protestant is a good name for you. It's what your religion represents.

If you're a Christian looking for a place that celebrates Christ, try The Christian Left. They believe in the red words in the bible.

Let the people say... AMEN! "Evangelicals", "Christians" and/or "Believers" can agree with correct doctrine all they want. The bottom line is we need to be right as in righteous, not right wing, to be in harmony with God. Jesus said it best in Matthew 7th chapter, "Every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. He summarized this sentiment with the statement, "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." For all of Judge/Reverend Roy's rotten apples, so many "Christians" still chose to vote for him.

I agree with you that there are a lot of so called Christians practicing nothing and they should stop pretending they know what the Bible saids. If you do not believe in the truth and embrace fake news from evil people not of heavean but of this Earth. Then what the hell could you possibly believe in? Denying the truth to support your opinion and refusing to recognize evil is the same as practicing it. How ungodly could that be in Gods eyes. Because its Earthly you somehow believe that God will not remind you from Heaven. This was done to achieve what and these people have done nothing but bring you shame. Its sad what Trump and the Republican party has done to so called Christians but thats what happens when you refuse to recognize evil and to condemn it.

      You say

"President 45 is accused by almost 20 women of sexual assault"

      Brad says -

And why should we believe them?

Where is your presumption of innocence?

      You say "

and admitted as much on tape."

      Brad says ---

How were these admissions, they were no names and no times or places?

      You say

Yet, 80% of white evangelicals voted for him and Moore in elections."

      Brad says ---

Where did you get that number?

      You say

" Many white supremacists are running for office as Republicans in the next election cycle."

      Brad says ----

      So don't vote for them
