Beetle Brown is at the Table

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Sunday, July 29, 2018. Our handsome friend, Beetle Brown, is at the stove this morning preparing an Asparagus Frittata Casserole for our enjoyment. I am in the kitchen mixing up a batch of Spicy Bloody Marys. Brown is sick and tired of the number of current and former officials in government flaunting the law and feeling no pain. Please join us this morning for breakfast and a chant. If it turns into a rant, so be it.

Bring On the Cuffs

Wrong is Wrong

Thanks so much for coming to the table this morning. I am a bit confused. If someone breaks the law in our nation, isn't there a price to pay? I If we are to be a civilized nation, we have to obey the laws. If we don't there are consequences to be paid. There has to be thousands of people scratching their heads wondering why Hillary Clinton is wandering around free. Clinton paid for the phony Trump dossier that ignited the phony special prosecutor investigation that set flame to the destruction of so many lives. Who is managing the crazies? Who is saying that it is insane to create an investigation based upon false accusations? I don't think anyone is doing that. If there were safeguards, Mueller would never have been put in charge of this phony investigation. I wonder what part Jeff Sessions played in this nightmare. If he hadn't recused his sorry self, Mueller would have been a bad dream. The way things stand, Mueller is a rabid dog, destroying the lives of anyone who gets in his way. He is squeezing people as hard as he can to get them to crumble and say what he wants against Trump. Mueller is, in my mind, a criminal, and he has to go.

What About Obama?

The Obama administration gave $125,000 in our money to an al-Quaeda affiliate in Sudan. At the time of the payment, it was known that the group was on a list that declared that it served as a conduit to Hamas. Where was the outrage? There wasn't any, and we have to wonder why that was. The Obama administration got a pass about everything. President Trump is lambasted for accomplishing amazing things for our country. Common sense is dead, and the bad guys are running wild. It is time to stop them in their tracks and give our nation a chance to heal. There are too many bad players in our country. We have mayors and governors declaring that they are willing to defy federal regulations and protect illegal aliens. There have to be consequences for these people. If they are going to defy the law, they have to be arrested. They hold the rights of illegal aliens above the rights of American citizens who are residents of their states and cities. The federal government has to step in and put an end to this garbage. Officials who are pushing this agenda have to be held accountable. They have no right to ruin the lives of citizens who live in their jurisdictions. It's just common sense.

Holding Citizens in Contempt

Pop and I live in New Jersey. Governor Murphy has decided to allow the sale of marijuana. The money gained from this decision will be used to pay for illegal aliens to attend college. It will also be used to pay their expenses for the costs of becoming citizens. I don't remember being asked if this was where I wanted this money to go. I don't remember being asked if it was okay to legalize marijuana. Does my opinion count? Murphy's actions sound like a pathetic attempt to buy votes. Give illegals everything and guarantee a democratic voter for life. None of this sounds okay to me. None of this sounds legal. It is time for the federal government to step up to the plate and take a stand. All of this nonsense is destroying the rule of law and destroying the foundation of our nation. Fix it now or pay the price of losing out nation.

So I take from what you said that you feel college is worthless because tech jobs are where it’s at and you don’t need college for that?

So forget medical degrees, engineering degrees, science degrees? Who needs doctors, dentists, surgeons, and engineers and scientists when you can get an IT job without college? That just makes no sense. There is a myriad of professions that can not be filled without a degree and the trsining and knowledge that is bedtowed by it, so to question the value of a college education based on the momentary demand for IT professionals who don’t need a college degree just isn’t realistic. Sure it’s not for everyone but it shouldn’t be.

No, I won't go see Death of a Nation in the theaters. I have already seen death of California in person. Although buttered jalapeno popcorn does make it feel better the result is the same.

I live in paradise lost, I don't want to expand that image.

TSAD the real money these days is in Information Technology and Project Management. IT was once the buffoon of the computer sector, as it was just bringing computers and systems up, and keeping them running. But today, we have the data collecting, data mining, data analysis and all its variants. That data is our lives being collected as binary ones and zeroes. In 1995 the largest commercial disk drive was 525 MB and it cost about $525 dollars. Today we can get a 6TB drive for a little more than a $100. That is 12 times the data held, and costing 1/12th of the price. Without this leap in technology we couldn't have the massive data collection because it couldn't hold the data, and its wouldn't be processed quick enough.

My point is that IT is the high tech job expansion that pays well. And my other point is that if a person has the tech skills the companies don't care if they have a college degree. How many world class computer hackers have college degrees, I really don't know but when some of them are in high school, I wonder.

I have two college degrees and over 250 college semester units. All but 60 of them earned while having a full time job. Why so many units, well that is the result when you make mid course corrections. Normally, I would have had only a little more than 200 units.

The point to be made here is that, I went into computers, and I learned on the job the most important things I needed to advance in the industry. I think that a better system than we have can be achieved by the companies training their own employees to do the job that they need. A tech school can give a person the minimum knowledge that the company can work with and make most usable.

I know I just ran off the tracks, but I see a stop ahead:)

When you go to work for a company, that company has their way of doing things, and no matter your experience or expertise, the company wants you to conform to their ways.

The tradition of colleges and universities is wonderful, so I hear. Going to them after working a full shift, and in the night puts a whole new look at them. Same degree, but the experience is much different.

Finally, I could have gotten my career result by going to a two year tech school and working at companies. Yes, at one time companies were very strict with the need for computer science degrees, but they now look at skills.

      just a thought:)

Brad, what does a college education do today? Well that depends on the job market and what kind of degree you get. My son graduated last year with a degree in chemical engineering and in two months landed a job starting at $65,000/yr. no one can complain about that but I wonder if Trump hadn’t been elected if that job would have even existed. There is no question getting a degree that qualifies you for a profession is invaluable. The problem with our institutions of higher learning isn’t getting a degree, it’s the liberal indoctrination that one is exposed to to get it.

Hey are you going to see Death of a Nation? It comes out today in theaters.

What is the matter with California Oranges? I live in Orange County CA, finding an orange grove here would be like finding a meat in a vegan restaurant.

Sort of based on your last paragraph, giving people free college educations should mean that those people that don't want to go to college should be given something of equal value. We keep hearing about the left and equality, but it is all talk.

On the other hand, what does a college education do for people today? And didn't whole generations of students get a free college education because they never paid their student loan.

Technically one could argue that it was a forgiveness that has tax implications. Just like when 2008 caused banks to forgive equity loans but the IRS taxed this forgiveness.

As far as giving illegal aliens a free college education, how can we justify reward people that break the law. When I moved out here from Long Island, I waited a year to become a resident so that I wouldn't pay the non resident fees.

      Illegal Aliens

California is already a socialist state imho because the taxpayers are paying for the illegal aliens who have to do nothing for this benefit.

POP: I am reading Greg Jarrett's book and it is amazing what the Democrats have done to protect Hillary Clinton. Many people have taken a bullet for her, OH, wait a minute, they didn't need to. They just defied the law as she did and it is business as usual.

New Jersey has always been a crazy state. My suggestion is to get out of there - some to sunny Florida where we have passed the law for medical marijuana already! I am off to the Inn ... save me a seat...

      Another hot day in Caleafornia:)

I couldn't find where CA is going to spend its refer windfall. In 2016 when they were floating the MJ legislation there was no mention of using it for illegal aliens?

BTW, I would remind you that along with the homeless comes the illegal drug use. You know there must be something to that old adage about Eating yourself out of house and home. That appears to be the case here. The homeless can afford drugs, but not homes.

Now the entire state, and I refer to condition rather than gov't entity is looking a lot like what I envision Woodstock must have been like in 1969. Apparently, the astronauts were not the only ones to go high and go to the Moon:)

BTW, I understand the MJ growing requires a lot of water? And considering CA is in dire need of water, shouldn't part of these taxes go to generating water, at least to offset their use?

BTW, I always thought that the US should have a national Aqueduct to transfer water from those that have floods to those that have deserts.

      Just a thought.

Sorry about the Bloody Mary. I'll treat you to a virgin one at the Inn. We have definitely lost our minds. Instead of helping addicts recover, we are providing them with safe spaces and clean needles. I guess those in charge want to keep the problem growing, and addicts do vote.

      Good Morning brad,

Your state has the homeless living on the streets of San Francisco and LA. The government provides them with bubble tents, but the streets are their toilets. In the meantime, the hypocrites in Hollywood carry on about the poor illegals. The politicians who are against the wall and ICE are fishing for votes and nothing more. They haven't helped a soul in decades. If Trump would shut Mueller down, we would save millions. That money could be used to fix our crumbling and antiquated infrastructure. See you at the Inn later.

At first I was very preoccupied with the asparagus frittata. Then I read your article and lost my appetite. Now all I need is the bloody mary, except I don't like them and I'm in recovery.

Your last paragraph about what your governor is doing really bothers me. But it is becoming a common tale. I live in Washington state. Seattle is implementing a tax payer funded program to give heroine users a safe place to shoot up and provided with clean needles. No, I'm not kidding. This world is a crazy place.

Trump while not getting money from the democrats for our national defense wall. Key is National. The democrats got tens of billions for the NY NJ train tunnel.

Instead of taking care of illegal aliens, the congress needs to fund the repair and up keep of infrastructures that have been around for a long time. I just read where a pipe blew up in the NYC Flatiron District killing and hurting people. It was not the first of such explosions, as that pipe was from 1932. Are the bridges safe? Are the roadways safe? Are the tunnels safe?

The point is that revenue needs to find its way to America and Americans first. The problem is the same in CA as it is in NJ, NY and now Florida.

I live close to Disneyland but Anaheim CA has better services for its people than given by the other public utilities. Orlando might do the same thing, but the cities may be governed by democrats.

Once again, I have to point at the loyal party voters for allowing these above the law powers that allow people to have no control in government.

The money from MJ in CA and other states should be benefiting America and Americans and those people that are legal immigrants who want to be Americans.

While this is not Sanders socialism, it is the working people that have been forced to pay for illegal aliens while not getting any help from the government. The government with its public utilities has not kept up with the population, and bringing in millions of illegal unvetted aliens makes that even more difficult.

The desert we call California is not getting enough water for the needs of the existing population. The drought makes huges and deadly fires more frequent, not global warming. And then if we do gave substantial rainfall it winds up damaging more houses by flooding. Yet, flood control doesn't seem to be on their budget, nor does more dams, or even water conversion from the pond that we see on the west coast.

Then there is the electrical grid, new when FDR was a kid.

My point is that the current resistance by the democrats only benefits illegal aliens because the US has not yet reached the pathetic conditions of their country.

Not that I am a sports fan, far from it. I think if the congress was a football team. Then Trump the QB would be sacked every play. It is ironic that QB Trump can make some goals without the republicans defensive line, or their failure to catch his passing plays. To get his goal in football terms, he really got the goals with his running play and some help from some of the republicans.

But they have done too little, to nothing to stop the divide caused by the baseless democrat incited investigations. The democrats have kept these investigations alive without any evidence, yet they have blocked all republican efforts to have them investigated.

Maybe Trump, hopefully is going to wait until after the midterms?

      Good Morning Paula,

You always make me feel great, and I want you to know I appreciate your support. I have written to my useless senators, making sure to tell them not to send me a form response. One answered, but he had no answers. Maybe I'll take your advice and put together something for Washington. As far as Murphy is concerned, he just got in and that is very bad news. The fools in my state elected him even though he ran on a platform of raising taxes and making Jersey into a sanctuary state! Last night I spoke to a friend who just got back from L.A. She said the homeless are all over the place in little tents provided to them. The place stinks to high heaven. The people are using the streets as toilets. All this is going on while the hypocrites in Hollywood carry on about the illegals. The level of stupidity is mind boggling. I just lost my appetite too. See you at the Inn.

Pop, everything you wrote here points to only one conclusion and it’s not something has to be done or even what can be done or we should do something. The only conclusion one can logically make from the state of those in control of our government today, despite the election of Trump, is that it’s too late to do anything about it, the deep state, the corrupt Clintonistas and their ilk, the MSM, the looney left, they’ve all won and the proof of that is when they’ve virtually lost the country in elections they still control the agenda and even Trump can’t do anything about that.

Pop...Question: Do you ever write to Washington? You are so expert at saying what needs to be said in a clear-cut, honest & reasonable way.....easy to understand. It's all so vital and we here, appreciate your work. I would love for all of your articles to be forwarded to Pennsylvania Ave, to the attention of DJT & all those who NEED to act! Don't you think so? Even if you wanted to re-write some of your work and possibly circulate it for signatures, I'm 100% with you.

We are becoming strangers & neglected orphans in our own country, being forced to give our money for legalizing and educating immigrants? How can this be? HOW does it happen without the consent and approval of the American tax payer?

Quite honestly, lately I'm feeling as though we're in the midst of a sheer nightmare. It just doesn't stop. Quite the contrary, it gets worse everyday. ANGIE..are you serious about Orlando possibly becoming a sanctuary city? Tell me it isn't so!

one more question, pop....is Murphy up for re-election? Personally, I'm hoping and praying that a miracle occurs here and Crazy-man Cuomo is kicked to the curb.....but that would be only the very beginning of the miracles this State needs!!

Keep my serving of breakfast. I'm so damned upset, who can eat??

      It went on and on.

D.C. created the perfect illusion, in order to protect their own...an inperfect man, built up, so as to seem incapable of failure. Certainly not to be questioned or challenged.
