Business Meeting Information.....
Business of the SCDC
Two pieces of business at the October and November Meeting:
Proposed bylaw changes for the Sun City Democratic Club
Approved by the SCDC Board July 13, 2017
Presented to the membership in October 2017
Article II, Section 1 The Club’s Executive Board is elected to a one year term at the Annual Meeting in November and consists of elected officers, and four members-at-large and chairs of four standing committees: Membership, Program, Communications, and Hospitality.
Rationale for the change:
The Board wishes to recognize the tremendous contribution of the committee chairs to the success of the club. We deemed it appropriate that the chairs should be able to vote at the Board meetings.
The SCDC needs to elect new officers. Note that nominations will be taken from the floor on the night of the vote. BUT the person nominated must have been asked and accepted the nomination.
Report of the Nominating Committee (Shirley McAllister)
President Michelene Smith

Secretary Dee Faules
