Defeat Socialism never compromise with it

Updated on November 5, 2010

Some of you may recognize this piece; I published it on another site yesterday. So to those that have already seen and read it I apologize for the repetition but I felt it should be seen by others as well so here it is; for all those that haven’t seen it yet, I hope you like it!

I went to bed Tuesday night; Wednesday morning mad as hell. Sure we had just recaptured the House in a tsunami fashion but the epitome of evil was still there; the Nevada Rattlesnake had managed to steal another election. Just the thought of listening to his Casper Milquetoast voice or having to look at his weenie little body for 6 more years was more than I could bear. I'm also sure my intense anger was exacerbated somewhat by the 1/2 bottle of Glenlivet I consumed while celebrating our great victory.
Now that my head has cleared my anger is more appropriately focused on what lies ahead. If I hear that obnoxious word Compromise one more time I will explode. Compromise-Compromise-Compromise that's the Democratic message as put forth by their media Waterboys today. It's like the 2,000 presidential elections when they decided their mantra would be built around the word Gravitas. Does George Bush possess the Gravitas to be president; Gravitas-Gravitas-Gravitas! These people never change, only their word of the week; this week it's Compromise.
Well let me tell you something; the Republicans weren't sent to Washington to Compromise, they were sent to Washington to Arrest! That's right arrest this madness and turn it around. You can't compromise with Socialist. Should the German People have convinced Hitler he should only kill 3,000,000 Jews; that's compromise; would that have been OK? Hell no it wouldn't; you can't compromise with inherent evil and what this Regime has been guilty of is legislating inherent evil! Socialism is evil!
Beware Republicans the pressure has just begun. They will scream that you are not willing to Compromise and that you have no ideas. You do have ideas; you were elected on the idea of Repealing Obama Care not to Compromise on parts of it. There is no give and take with this piece of legislation; it needs to be scrapped and start all over!
Learn your lesson from Newt Gingrich; he fell into their trap and it cost him dearly. They will never like you; everything you stand for they are diametrically opposed to. To them the very fact you were elected is incomprehensible, how could such a collection of rabble possible have been trusted with the leadership of the House of Representatives.
Learn from their last staged attempt at compromise; remember when His Lordship visited the House of Commons last March and lectured to the Republicans. He went so far as to tell John McCain to; in essence shut up, John you lost, elections have consequences was his condescending remark. Then following the charade he had Queen Nancy give her famous we're going to pass Healthcare speech. Remember when she stood in front of the cameras and professed we are going to pass Healthcare; if they build a fence we'll go around; if they build a wall we'll pole vault over; in other words we're going to do what we want to do regardless what the American Public wants!
Now they speak of compromise. Republicans if you are stupid enough to fall for their trick then you don't deserve to be there. Sure you will be blasted in the media; sure the New York Times will treat you like they did General Petraeus when he was prosecuting Bush's War. But stand your ground. The American Public is on your side. If you are foolish enough to go on any shows except FOX News do not let them entrap you with their questions. Reject their premise outright then make whatever statement you want to explain your position. Don't let them trap you into answering questions with predetermined damaging consequences such as Congressman Rush, when did you stop beating your wife?
Remember Socialism must be defeated, not compromised with!

Mr.Happy; welcome back; Obama did bail out the people who's houses were being foreclosed! Before Obama the maximum anyone could receive unemployment benefits was 13 weeks, now it’s over 100. He is indeed a puppet but not for big banks and corporations, he’s a puppet for George Soros. Obama is a disciple of Saul Alinsky’s and a puppet for George Soros. Ever read Rules for Radicals; that’s the bible by which Obama is not governing but ruling for he is enacting policies against the will of the people which does not constitute governing.

Mr. Partisan, my appology for not returning sooner. Writing on this website is just a little part of my life. Thanks for the good wish on the business though; that I appreciate!

As I wrote in my last comment though: Obama bailed-out banks because they paid-in to his campaign - millions and millions of dollars! He was bought-off!

If he were a socialist, he would have bailed-out the people who's houses were being foreclosed! He's a puppet for big banks and corporations, that's all! He could care less about anyone else. Simple.

To Mr. Pcoach: Bring a plastic bag along if you intend on reading my comments if you can't stomach them.

Like your fellow Socialists Charles James you my friend are a very agreeable Socialist as opposed to most I’ve debated; so thank you for that.

However we disagree from the outset, my working my conservative *ss off 100+ hrs a week was my choice. There was no way that one of 4 sons from working class parents could have possibly retired with what I was able to amass without the opportunity Capitalism provided me. Under Socialism my incentive to work a single hour above the minimum would have been stifled due to the confiscatory taxes imposed on what would have been considered my extra income which according to Marxism should be redistributed to those less fortunate.

The fact that my extra effort helped my company succeed I have no problem with that. You see another point where we disagree is I do not begrudge Big Business’ right to make a profit. Unlike Socialists I do not believe Corporations exist in order to provide jobs for people but they exist, and rightfully so in order to make a profit!

The "little bit" that kept me working was in my case quite considerable; more than I ever expected to earn and it continued to grow the harder I worked. You see my company rewarded initiative, hard work and tenacity; when I retired I was bringing in well over $200,000 plus stock incentives. That would never have happened under any form of Socialism. And yes my friend the more of it I was allowed to keep the better I liked it. Not because I am selfish but because I earned it and felt anyone else could have followed in my footsteps and earned it likewise if they possed the same work ethic as me!

Sorry Jeremy but in my opinion Socialism is not a bad thing, it’s a TERRIBLE THING! It destroys initiative by de-incentivizing the individuals desire to excel. No one is pushed to excellence for the collective rights of society; come on work your ass off so your neighbor can have as much as you while working half the time just doesn’t motivate the individual!

Sorry again but in my humble opinion "tea party" is the salvation of this country. Balance is another word for compromise. I feel you can’t compromise with an agenda that is inheriently flawed for the start. The only solution to Health Care is to rip it up and start over. Hell those that voted it in didn’t know what they voted for anyway; they just marched in lock step with Pelosi’s Light Brigate which ultimately led to their own destruction.

I will choose to leave your opinion but I do so by saying I respect your right to be wrong!

Mr. Patriot, I admire you working your conservative *ss off 100+ hrs a week, and thats what the "wealthiest 10%" of our corporate citizens want you to do, because you keep them wealthy by doing so! Sure you get the "little bit" that keeps you working to keep what you already have and improve upon it! Thats where they get you! They use your "pride" to their benefit and laugh all the way to the banks, the place you keep the money you earn, that they use to make more money off of you! Socialism is not a bad thing, or a good thing when in its extremes but is a great asset to the "average joe" when operating without extremes. This "tea party" thing is is trickery aimed at keeping your "pride" intact so the benefits of it will continue to trickle up the hill! Balance, balance and more balance is what this country needs, not either side supporting their own with teeth showing put rather a "socially" acceptable midddle ground where the people can find a basis to "unite" again and fight against the wealthy corporate "citizens" that want nothing more than to keep each party at the throats of the other whenever fitting so they can flip flop back and forth in which ever "condition" or "situation" that the people will face for their own freaking benefit, not the working class republican, not the working class democrate. Sometimes, like "this point in our countries time", the people need to unite against the powers that keep us pitted against each other. Thats just my opinion, take it or leave it.

The hidden truth within that statement is there never really was a time in Obama's mind where he wanted to work with the GOP; like he told Jophn McCain durning his visit to the House of Commons prior to passing/ramming healthcare down our throats; John you lost, elections have consequences.

Well Barrackie Boo, elections have consequences!

Obama proclaimed 'the time has passed' for working with the GOP. I say that statement is truer than ever now.

      thanks Sherri

His Lordship demonstrated his ability to compromise when he met with the Republicans back in March before they gave up any semblance of bi-partisanship and decided to ram Helth Care down our throats. All I gotta add to this is Republicans Beware if you dare think of Compromise!

I love this hub, I love your passion, and I love your sentiment about compromise. The dems have proven big words are NOT their forte, remember "transparency" and their obvious misunderstanding of the meaning of the word? I am willing to bet they also don't understand will be OUR way or NOTHING! These newbies were elected to go there and represent the people who entrusted them with that power. If they waffle and give up their principles, their political careers are doomed, and it may well also doom the USA!!

You really shouldn't waste your time with Mr Happy, he is still drinking the kool-aid and you will NEVER persuade him that BO is anything less than a deity.

      Great hub Patriot,

These next two years are going to be very tricky. Obama will use every means possible to further his agenda and he will do so by circumventing Congress and the American people.

What will stop BO from doing things by executive order?

He can let the House and the Senate fight, and just do what he want by executive order. He can just say screw all of us, as he did before.

      Keep on hubbing!

Obama is definitely a Socialist; how else would describe someone who moved against 68% of the American People to take over 16% of the economy; who also bailed out the auto industry in order to save the labor unions while leaving the investors; those big banks and corporations, with pennies on the dollar. All the man is lacking is a copy of the Karl Marx Manifesto in his hip pocket which I’m sure he owns and refers to frequently.

Socialism does indeed undermine innovation and initiative; you may not want to be on welfare, but since Obama has ascended to the throne the number of welfare recipients has doubled due to his job killing policies. I recommend you read my hub the 800 lb gorilla standing in the unemployment line named fear.

Good luck by the way with your business!

Ya, Obama as a socialist ... rofl what a disgrace that would be. He's Wall St.'s puppet by far not a socialist. He bailed-out big banks and corporations not the poor people. That's not a socialist. A socialist would not have fed the banks billions leaving common people on the street. Obama is a crook put there by the banks who supported his campaign. Stop giving socialism a bad name claiming Obama is a socialist lol.

Socialism by far does not undermine innovation and innitiative. I do not want to be on welfare, I want to make my money! I do make my money and I'm a socialist. I'm in the process of opening up my own business, how does being a socialist stop me from being competitive or innovative? It doesn't.

Capitalism left alone does not check itself. Capitalism left alone resulted in lobbyists controlling your politicians and banks being bailed-out while people starve on the street. Great!

      Mr. Happy

I agree living in a society means to share a city/town/village with other people but we cease to agree when it comes to sharing my income. I worked my Conservative Butt off for 37 years 100 plus hours a week to acquire what little I have. I do not feel I owe anyone the slightest part of what I have accumulated. I live in a country that guarantees everyone Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness; I pursued my happiness and acquired a small part of it through hard work, let those that you clamor out for pursue their own happiness; it is not up to me to provide it for them!

The very concept upon which the Soviet Union was formed was Socialism. Sure it was only used as a means through which evil people could gain control but because an evil concept was misapplied by evil people does not make the evil concept any less evil. Socialism is inherently evil; it destroys human initiative and as such redistributes the misery instead of fostering growth and prosperity through incentivizing success!

Agree rules are necessary but tinkering with the rules in order to make things More Fair for the underprivileged is what went wrong over here that resulted in the financial crisis. Capitalism left alone will right itself when necessary and regulate itself; it is only when do gooder Socialist attempt to skew the system in order to help the poor is when the train runs off the track. The recent train wreck was caused by Democratic Socialist in congress!

      Still glad you stopped by!

lol To live in a society means to share a city/town/village with other people. You have to share roads, you share buildings where you may work/live, you share security by law with evreyone else ... I can keep going. I really do hope you see this point. We share this planet amigo, we share the air we breath. As much as you don't like it, you share this website with Me, the socialist Devil. Get over it. It really is not that bad.

There was very little about the Soviet Union that was socialist. Nothing actually lol ... that was a pretense, just as the United States pretends to be a democratic country. So, do not look at Communist China to find communism. They just stole the name, I guess they thought it sounded cool.

Now on the kids issue. I agree with you that kids and we in general should be competitive. Even in competitions though, there are rules. Thus, deregulation is unreal and detrimental.

On the other hand though, you should not ignore that we do need to be sociable as people and we should teach kids to be sociable as well. One cannot be competitive without being sociable. Actually if you're not sociable, you're probably seen as a psycho lol (not talking about You, I am speaking in general).

Read some Schopenhauer because I think you're missing-out on a dose of compassion.

(I had to pass by since you missed me.)

      Mr. Happy

Where have you been? I’ve missed your bleeding heart spewing out all your Socialist platitudes. I live in a society because unlike you I am a social animal but recognize all animals have an established pecking order; you my friend need solitary; not solidary as you put it, confinement. The society I choose to live in; one complete with a pecking order is not one where all the animals are made equal by the benevolence of the government. The ruling authority does not take from those according to their ability and give to those according to their need. That’s been tried over and over again as you are well aware of; the latest great example of that type of society was known as The Soviet Union.

People are taught as kids, to be COMPETETIVE; that’s right through competition some people rise to the top and they should not be punished for applying their God Given Talents in order to succeed. No society should not punish those that succeed through confiscatory tax policies!

You my dear friend need to Get bloody real!

If you want socialism defeated why do you live in a society? Go live by yourself in the forest if you haven't cut all the trees down yet.

If you don;t recognize people as social animals, perhaps you should be put in solidary confinment. That might change your mind.

We are taught to be social people when we are kids, to be sociable. It is viewed as a good thing. So ... how do you not see that we need a social politico-economic system? Really, man! Get bloody real!
