Do We Really Have a Choice between Privacy and Safety?

The fight between Apple and FBI will not subside anytime soon. In fact, if you've been following the debate closely, it should be very obvious that the country is starkly divided into two camps with nothing in between. The Apple camp will not bow to FBI's request to open the San Bernardino, CA's shooters' phone; the FBI camp wants Apple to help FBI retrieve the information in the phone, for fear that information may help thwart another San Bernardino tragedy or worst another 9/11. Despite having been ordered by the court to help FBI, Apple refuses to do so; now, Tim Cook, Apple CEO, is going to Washington to make his case to Congress.
