"Do you know why God created us in different colors"

Updated on August 5, 2012

Do you know why God made us different colors"

If God wanted one superior color, he would have made only one color, but that wasn't his choice; he wanted people of every color of rainbow, that's why he created many colors to choose from.
If God wanted one superior color, he would have made only one color, but that wasn't his choice; he wanted people of every color of rainbow, that's why he created many colors to choose from.

"Do you know why God made us different colors"

In my life, I have learned that there are many, many wonderful people in the world whether they're black, white or purple or blue. I realized that when God created us, he didn't discriminate, he made a variety of colors, and it was because; apparently, one color wasn't enough for him,to satisfy his need for differences, he gave us different colors but our own individuality.

We do have those that think their color is the supreme color, above all, but it makes me wonder; if being one specific color was so important to God, why? did he make such a variety of colors. If this whole world, just suppose to be one, why did he make more than one color. Although, we all have our different races and colors, God made sure that we all had something that was the same. He made me black and you white and others purple and green; but if you cut each of us with a knife, our blood will all run red.

Think about it, if God wanted all white, then he would have created all white people; or all black, blue or the other; I think that, that order was to plain and boring for God; so he mixed it up a bit. God wanted the best of all worlds, so, he made us many colors because,he knew we would get bored with only one color, so, he blessed us with a variety of colors to choose from the rainbow . What an awesome God, we have to share with one another; and get a spectrum of color in the process.

Thank you Ashia, for your visit and comment, it's unfortunate, but there are people that feel that way, but if they are at all aquainted with Moses in the bible, he married a women of color and his sister did everything in her power to make Moses wife miserable and in the end God curse her with leprosy because of prejudice. I hope some day , they will except you regardless of your color. Godspeed. creativeone59

This post really hits home because I am in an interracial relationship and my bf's parents believe that if god wanted us all to be together he would have made us all one color. It hurts to have people believe that they are superior just because they were born with a certain skin color

Thank you bryanna, for your visit and your comment, I appreciate it. You can tell who ever that you fell in love with a man, not his color, when your eyes are close you can tell what color a person is, you go by your emotions. Also if you read the bible about Moses who marrried a women of color, his sister Miriam, was so prejudice against the marraige that she did everything in her power to make Moses wife miserable and in the end God curse her for it. God don't believe in prejudice or he wouldn't have curse Miriam for her actions against Moses wife. I hope that helps you out. Godspeed. creativeone59

I love this... You have just opened my eyes. I have been having trouble with my parents about me falling for a black guy...I have been looking for something to help me get some advice for when we start to actually talk about everything... With such great words of advice...do you have anything that I could say in my defense?

You say you are white and your husband is hispanic. I have yet to see the color hispanic in any color chart.

I am Spanish ..I guess what YOU would call hispanic, and I am extremely fair, have light hair and blue eyes. My spouse is also 'white' but he's a tad less white than I, has dark brown hair and green eyes....oh, and he is English.

Please, when referring to people's skin color make certain you keep race and color of skin correctly identified.

Satish, my heart hurt for you, because, you don't understand that the only reason any of us are here is because of the grace of God. Look at it this way, Jesus was hated unto death but he still love God the father. I'm black, and proud of it, and proud to be called a child of God. We are all of different races, but so are others, look at the Jews, just like Jesus, some people hate Jews, and Indians, they were put on an reservation, but can't we hate God for life; we have to love it and live it the best we know how and some day this world will be equal, because doesn'[t show pariality to one race or another. I will keep you in my prayer and I hope one day some you will understand, why you feel this way. Godspeed. Love and peace to you. creativeone59

Interesting and thought provoking hub. We are created by a higher being that blessed us with our own languages, colors, thoughts, emotions, talents, stars, moon, intuitions, and the wonderful abilities, lack of loneliness, and strength when we finally realize HE is always with us.

Your parents, friends and money can not do that. However so many have not found the way. Let us pray....

      Be Blessed!

creativeone - excellent hub, however I must disagree with you on the overall point. God didn't make us different colors, man did.

We are all special in the eyes of God, one is no better than the rest, although one may feel that they are superior to another they are sadly mistaken.

God gave us sight to see the colors....hearing to hear his voice....touch to comfort our souls...smell to experience the essence of life....and smiles to feel that we are all kindred spirits. Wonderful hub you wrote....thanks. :)

I thought that there was only one race the human race lol and I remember reading one time that if we took the genetic information from people with different skin colours that the genetic differences between those people could be put on the sharp end of a pin.

I know when I was young I could never understand why we were called white because everyone I knew looked sort of pinkish. Then in the sixties I lived in the far East in Singapore where most folk turned a lovely shade of brown from the sun. I remember after being out there for a while and seeing people fresh out from England then I knew why we were called white they looked so pasty and white compared to those who had been tanned by the sunshine. Even now in Spain where I live when I see holiday makers fresh out from the UK they are so easy to spot because they look so pale. Sometimes I see some of them going down to the beach in the morning all pale and white and then in the afternoon when they walk back up the hill from the beach they look lobster red. Lol Some folk have no sense at all

I like your perspective! Since I'm white and my husband is hispanic, my children have asked why the 2 of us look different. My answer is that God made us all different and wouldn't it be a boring world if everone looked the same!?! I love that my kids have friends of all races!

I loved reading your hub and the different opinion and I agree with it. I always maintain that you don't get asked what colour you want to be born with and therefore it is nothing to feel great about it or less great. Your personality and manners that is what makes a person. I wish wish wish people would get it their heads. Thank you for your hub.

God didn't make us ... and if we're talking about colours: that depends on our proximity to the sun (where we live) or who gave birth to us - nothing else.

that is really true and it goes to show how some people think that they are the "superior race". It reminds me of that race Hitler tried to breed (no offence to anyone). People should accept who they are and work together to change the world.
