Donald Sterling the Clippers, the NBA and Racism all in one.
Not going to prmote the NBA here it just seems wrong at this time.
Love basketball but not the way it is now in the pro's.
What do racism, Donald Sterling and gangsters all have in common? The NBA. How nice that the NBA has brought all of these fine folks into one huge Racism, violence and gang promoting folks into single arenas to make big money.
Sorry but the trash talk and all the hyperbole about race and all the glitz and the way that so often they seem like to high priced gangs running back and forth is bothersome. I get rappers and like several even though it is not my favorite Genre but why do the players act like rappers. It seems they grab on to every violent fad that runs along after a song or movie.
The most talented well paid men in the world and they act all gangster. I do not get it, seems like gangsters should want to act like them. Did you know that some gangs are based on race. For sure prison ones and many inner city ones. A little less in the rural.
If this seems tough on the NBA well it is meant to be. They just had a big spat over the use of the word "nigger" something about how African Americans can use it by not Caucasians or Hispanics. Why not just ban it. It is gut gutter language no matter who uses it. You cannot drop an "F" bomb or face ejection and fines, but the mindset is so base that they fight to use the word but ban other races from using it? What is going on, this is lunacy.
So Donald Sterling is a bigoted racist. That is not news. He was born in 1934. Come on people. 50% of all white people were bigots and racists back then. 14 years later the army was still segregated. "Back of the bus" was the norm not the exception. You have at least 50/50 odds the guy is still a bigot. And plus isn't he Polish or something. He knew bigotry against his own family by whites of 3rd generation descent. Come on you just cannot hold him to our standards. It is almost age discrimination ;-)
But it seems like the guy is just nuts. It does not seem like he hates black people he just thinks they are inferior. Well most of us think children are inferior and most of us treat octogenarians like they are all feeble like Sterling.
This is a stickier wicket than meets the eye.
Roses are not bigoted, this one is a cross-breed.
Big money pullout, now that is how it is done.
Sponsors for Donald Sterling's Clippers dropped like flies over the last few days. How fun is that? You just got to love free enterprise. Slap and Slap and Slap. They are housed at the Staples Center. But they are in the playoffs and Staples Center can't just give them the boot. The NBA just banned the man for life from participation in the NBA league altogether. But yet certain players can still call each of the "N" word. What a strange league altogether.
If Southern California it is hip to be in rehabilitation for something. They have these spa type places. And if you have money they are really super duper nice, like a five star hotel/resort. I find it hard to believe they do not have a twelve step program for racists. Let us face it, it is an illness of societal proportions. I would rather be a drug addict than a racist any day of the week. But I have to face facts. There are both out there but we now recognize addiction to drugs as an illness, and still lock you up in prison if busted. Should we lock racists up also just for being racists. Probably not a good idea. But it makes one think about it.
I just cannot stand these two singing together how disgusting to see mixed duets like this. What is Stevie doing singing with an Englishman? ;-) Doesn't he rem
Are you a closet bigot
We must apologize?
We around here in my house are quite sanctimonious and bias. We are bigoted against certain people. We are prejudice against certain continuing conduct. Our values are good and we think everyone should adhere to them. Mistakes can be made and repented but on some they must not be repeated ever if ever even committed. My wife and children and I hate a group of people and that is just the way it is. (I hope they do not take away my adsense sponsorship ;-).
We hate blatant adulterers. Can't stand them, won't let anyone in my family take instagrams of them. We condemn them and mock them and pull our patronage from them. If one tries to date my daughter he is toast. And he is going to get an old fashioned ass whooping.
We think Sterling should have been banned for that wrongful conduct long before a private comment about an illness he has.
It is a beautiful thing to see the NBA step up and kick this rich guy's butt. Good for them, but I pray they do not stop there and get to work to clean up the entire league.
We need to recognize the slavery of greed.
Sorry but the truth is coming out all over the place.
Good upstanding young African American men sold their souls and played for obscene profit for a known bigot and extremely prejudice racist. So is it OK to do that? I have real problems with that issue. This is not 1950 and that is the only job the African American ballplayers can get. It is not a moral question to feed their family of the good of the nation or "for others".
The league should ban every sponsor that knew about this and every player that knew about this problem and made a profit off of it. Apparently my household is one of the few outside of Amish country that did not know about this guy. Wow.
Would I go to work for a racist? That is what you have to ask yourself. And if the answer is yes then you are guilty of aiding and abetting and an accessory to those crimes against mankind. Think about it. Every player on that team knew about this guy, but they helped make him money.
Economic Slavery? No it is not. It is pure greed and ego. It is disgusting. Here are the top five guys supporting Sterling in this endeavor -- endorsing for sure by their action, anything for money and fame!
DeAndre Jordan 10,986,550
Chris Paul $18,668,431
Blake Griffin $16,441,500
Jamal Crawford $5,225,000
J.J. Redick Duke $6,500,000
These guys all went to top notch schools and are not dummies. They should be ashamed and apologize greatly and make some cash amends to stop the conduct they so fully supported for profit. The NBA should fine them also.
Some day this caped avenger is going to get pay back!
Let us wrap this bad boy right back around.
If you watched the Clippers on TV and knew about this guy -- you are guilty as charged. You supported him and those making him money. Sterling is a cancer that needs to hurry up and die before in infects others. But it is too late for that. The question is how much cancer remains to be cut out to save the body. This writer is not satisfied with just Sterling. How about the GM and the coach. Surely they knew.
And I hope that mistress gets enough from this story to check herself into rehab. She needs it as much as Sterling.
