Donald Trump Donated to the Va but He Is No Friend to Veterans
Trump: McCain is not war hero, he was captured
President Trump may donate to the VA, but he has a history of tearing our Vets down
Donald Trump is donating his first-quarter salary to the VA as a symbolic gesture of respect for our Veterans. This comes after a slew of remarks against a former Prisoner of War, John McCain who is currently in the hospital for brain surgery. White House Officials reportedly joked about McCain's condition, brain cancer, very unprofessionally. According VoteVets, Donald Trump signed an order on his third day in office that froze pay for hundreds of thousands of Veterans.
Unprofessional to say the least
In October 2016, while running for president, President Donald Trump told the Retired American Warriors PAC, "You're amazing people, great people," as well as this statement in September of 2016, "Our Veterans, in many cases, are being treated worse than illegal immigrants, people that come into our country illegally."
Donald Trump received five deferments to avoid getting sent to Vietnam for bone spurs among other excuses. He also said, rather controversially, "I like people who weren't captured," in a rant towards John McCain.

Cap. John Bryan Lippard: Prisoner of War
Well President Trump, my Great Grandfather was also a Prisoner of War in World War II. He was captured off the island of Corregidor. He was subjected to the worst torture imaginable. He was on a "Death Ship," where he valiantly jumped into the shark-infested waters of Manila Bay to save one of his friends, which he later was awarded a Purple Heart for, he suffered unimaginable torture, sometimes being beat with sandals with nails driven through them.
He was in camps in Mukden, Manchuria, where they stripped him naked and made him work in freezing conditions, sometimes spraying water on his body. He also endured a stay at Cabanatuan in the Philippines. When Hiroshima was bombed, he was underground working in a Mitsubishi coal mine, which later contributed to him having COPD. When he came back from the War, he had malaria, dysentery, was malnourished, amongst many other ailments caused by being in POW camps.
Do you think veterans are treated fairly in the United States?
My two-sense: Maybe I'm bias
John McCain is right about Donald Trump, President Trump is a draft-dodger who likes to tear down our veterans and make life harder for them. He is definitely no savior, he is no friend to our Veterans. Donating money to the VA, you can be assured, is to make him look better, NOT to help our Veterans.
