Donald Trump Will Leave you at the Altar

Updated on September 1, 2015

To all of you who are Trump supporters beware. He will leave you at the altar.

Exhibit A: Ross Perot.

I do not think Trump even wants the job However he may not have even thought that far ahead. He is however Donald Trump who loves the attention. And Trump, like all men with big egos, never thinks he's wrong.

One of two things will happen. He will make it even farther and will finally be considered a viable candidate. Or he will finally push the envelope too far and say something that cannot be put back in the bottle.

On the first scenario, Trump will start to back track such as Ross Perot did many years ago. Although they are two smart men who have a track record of getting things done. The Presidency is a very different matter. It is not like running a business and compromise and back room deals are the norm. On the second scenario, which is the most likely, nothing can be done about it. Trump shoots from the hip and once in awhile a bullet goes astray. The press will crucify him for it.

Do not get me wrong. I like Trump. He has said some things that needed to be said which is part of his appeal. A politician will talk for ten minutes and say nothing. It is so frustrating to the thinking public. Trump will answer a question in half a sentence and you will not be left wondering what side of the issue he came down on.

That reporter from Univision was rude. And it's about time somebody called him out on it. For some reason people like him think that lines are for other people. That the rules do not apply to them. I am sure for the most part he gets away with it. It was nice to see him put in his place for a change.

But beware. Trump will leave you at the altar. I advise his supporters to study the other candidates. There are plenty to pick from. Cheer for Donald Trump but have a plan B. Remember. Life is so much more complicated then one sentence answers.
