When Trump Is Dumped, can the GOP find someone even worse than Donald?

When Trump is dumped, the only downside is that we men-folk will no longer catch glimpses of his lovely wife as she strides demurely, three paces behind the Trumpeter's rabble rousing posterior. She prefers to return to her important position as costume jewelry designer for her line of bangles, unlike Bill's wife Hillary, who constantly meddles in politics.

Actually, some Republicans are thinking: "If we dump Trump, there are other candidates, that are even worse; take Hitler for instance. In fact rumor has it, he may still be alive and living in Argentina just waiting for a second chance to restart his racial registration profiling."

Well now Adolf , old chap, perhaps your time has come again?

If Putin dares me, I won't back down. I'll push the button and wipe out the clown.

Barnyard Epithet is King in Trump's Campaign. It's over Donny Boy

Donald Trump’s poll rankings confirm the angst more voters are feeling about him and his impossible promises and plans. Many are sick and tired of the inept, do nothing politicians found throughout our government, but rather than fix it in a reasonable manner, the disgruntled public is beginning to realize that what ails our country can not be cured with outrageous braggadocio of the irrational, irresponsible, ignoramus Donald Trump, a man who makes Don Rickles come across like Mother Teresa.

The whole world watched as the polls began demonstrating just how disgusted throngs of dissatisfied Americans were as they began taking out their frustration with the system. They were swayed by the person who is the least qualified and most divisive at a time when we need so much more. Americans demonstrated how receptive to change they are, but after watching Trump continue to blunder his way through event after event, they see the error of his ways and are regrouping in hope of finding a better choice. Sorry Donald, your slide has begun.

It is hardly imaginable that a country such as ours, founded under idealistic principles could deny its history and allow itself to be swept up by this self promoting world class braggart and radical promoter of hate.

His brassy manner and obnoxious "in your face" delivery, coupled with incredibly bad hair is reminiscent of other disruptive personalities of our times. We all have come to understand his coded representation of minorities and lower class people. Both Mussolini and Adolf Hitler come to mind, as they both had the ability to fire up the disenchantment that caused reason and compassion to be abandoned. The Fuehrer and Il Duce, his Italian counterpart understood human frailty and used it to take control of the hearts and minds of their followers. Thinking people can only hope that this whole chain of events is only a nightmare from which we will soon awaken,

Once in power, Hitler was able to unleash his fury on an entire race of people and the enslave others. He attacked and shut down the press and controlled the airwaves. Trump’s attack on the FOX News correspondent and the Latin American news agency was reminiscent of earlier events and should have sent a shudder up the spines of every American.

Picture Trump in the hot seat as Hillary Clinton was during a recent Benghazi segment. After 10 hours on the stand, she kept her cool and responded civility to her questioners. Now imagine Trump in her spot. His temper would flare and he might be placed in contempt by the committee. Not very presidential for sure.

The scene of one of Trump’s security operatives escorting the Hispanic reporter out of the hall could not have been more threatening unless his operative had been wearing the dreaded SS uniform. DT’s promised bullying and intimidating responses to China, Mexico and other interests bear resemblance to Hitler’s actions against Poland and most of Europe.

Where would his policies lead us if we were to elect him? It’s a scary thought. Picture the standoff and the frightening tension should he and Putin engaged in an inevitable atomic face off. It would make the Cuban missile crisis pale by comparison. How about a face off with North Korea's wacky despot with really bad hair, Kim Jong? Would you be comfortable with Trump’s finger on the bomb launch control? Imagine a nation that once sought to be a kinder gentler force allowing itself to adapt the bullying misogynistic tactics of Trump.

We may be due for a change, but a world based on Trumpian cowboy bravado is not the answer. Somehow, we all know it and await the coming of a reasonable leader. All men are created equal, except for The Donald. Heaven help us because with Trump at the helm. we can fully expect that "There be dragons" ahead. Be prepared to freshen up the bomb shelters your parents built at the height of the cold war.

While worthwhile candidates cool their heels in the backroom ante chambers, Trump triumphantly sucks in all the air and screen time, absorbing campaign energy and denying legitimate candidates time and exposure to explore and develop their own more logical platforms..Hopefully they are crafting legitimate policies of their own in a language that the average American understands. Trump does have legitimate talking points but his remedies leave much to be desired.

The Trump Tax MIracle and Other B S

How about his tax plan. It's really not a plan yet. He ran out of napkins on which to write out the details, But from what's been leaked it will lower the taxes for practically everyone, except for the hedge fund guys and others at the top earning levels. It is an incredibly ambitious plan that promises every American not just a chicken in every pot and a mule to plow every person's 40 acres, the Trump plan I promises a huge flock of chickens, thousands of eggs, 4,000 acres and a herd of prized mules. In addition, it will lower the taxes for everyone. It's Trump Magic because what he proposes would be the single most expensive plan ever proposed with no burden on the public

Experts have determined that it would add trillions of dollars to our national debt, a bit of a departure from the conservative side. The Trump funds would come out of the increases in taxable income for businesses and individuals. Despite the cries from pundits that the plan can not work, Trump states with certainty that it will - simply because he is a very sharp business person. How easy was that for a fix?

Golly Mr. Donny, you are one smart incredible person. So what that you have insulted every ally and leader in the world.

And the winner is ....

I'm amused that Progressives support Hillary, who hired detectives to dig up dirt and discredit women who accused her husband of sexual indiscretions. She coined the term 'vast right wing conspiracy' rather than honor the allegations of those poor women. Now she trundles about the country screeching about how women should be believed. What a hoot.

It tickles me that Progressive lose their minds over the nickname Washington Redskins and suffer conniptions when personal pronouns are misapplied even as they blithely refer to Republican presidential candidate as Hitler.

Kramar, the United States has no ruling class. Bill Clinton, BHO, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and Dr. Ben Carson are just a few of the figures at our highest level of politics who came from humble beginnings.

our ruling class comes from money, is under its command. or soon will be. Average guys entering the world of politics soon find themselves being managed by the daddy big bucks of the world- too many fat cats whose jowls get bigger along with their bellies.

@Farawaytree : I agree that demeaning comments are beneath the office. But they don't stop you from getting elected...

      "The Cambridge police acted stupidly"

"And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

“If you’ve got a business – you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

“It’s very rare that I come to an event where I’m like the fifth- or sixth-most interesting person.”

"“It is this world, a world where cruise ships throw away more food in a day than most residents of Port-au-Prince see in a year, where white folks’ greed runs a world in need, apartheid in one hemisphere, apathy in another hemisphere…That’s the world!"

“The point I was making was not that Grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn’t. But she is a typical white person…”

I agree about congress wholeheartedly. But I have yet to hear Trumps specifics about his actual plans. All he ever does is insult his competitors, and anyone else who he deems newsworthy in order to garner himself more attention.

If he used his time on the podium to talk point by point exactly what he's going to do to make America better, then fantastic, but I'm still waiting. Making funny jokes about people and insulting them may be great for television entertainment, but not for changing a country that - yes - is and has been falling apart at the seams.

Sorry, but high school was over a long time ago. Save the demeaning comments and get to making a plan for the country we can see, hear, and put to practical use please.

      Faraway Tree

The experienced politicians that ran the country, ran it into the ground in 2008. And we still haven't returned to any pre 2008 economy. Millions of people lost jobs, and many of them never returned to the workforce, and they fell of the unemployment numbers.

Many people not only lost their jobs, they lost their homes, and most of them still don't have homes. The financial companies that caused the economic meltdown, were brought back to the black from near or actual bankruptcy thanks to congress. The financial industry used the bailout money to reward themselves, I guess for surviving, thanks to the US congress.

These banks didn't loan the bailout money to their victims, again thanks to the US congress.

The point is that because Trump is going against the tradition of politicians in this presidential campaign is a plus. Remember many of the people running for the presidency and congress were part of the economic meltdown problem, and the failure of the government for not returning the country back to some form of normal.

Congress has failed the country and us.

The political parties, both the dems and repubs have failed the country and us.

The presidents have failed the country and us.

The people that were and continue to be in office, all told us how they would make a difference if they were elected or reelected into office.

They did make a difference, they made it worse.

      History will verify these statements.

Trump has had failures, but each time he has returned to success. The US congress doesn't even know what is success, a least success for the country, and the people.

If nothing else, Trump is a catalyst to shake up and wake up the polished politicians and make them work in their campaigns. Unfortunately, instead of making their plans as the focal point of their campaign, they went predator on attacking Trump personally. They attack His Plans by attacking him, and not the specifics of his plan.

It is fair to attack any presidential campaigns, but not the person. For example, what is wrong with Trump's plan to stop Muslims from coming into the US? The keyword that everyone ignores is that he made the statement for a Temporary Stop Until congress and the president have a handle on the domestic terrorism that is involving Muslim Terrorists.

That is Not Racial and it is based on the facts.

Obama never saw the microscope. Sarah Palin experienced the microscope. Let's not confuse honesty with sloth. The mainstream media conveniently forgot to check into BHOs drug dealing, his college transcripts, his relationship with Tony Rezko, his relationship with Jeremiah Wright, and many other aspects of his private life.

Before anyone has a conniption, BHO admitted to dealing and using illegal drugs in his own autobiography. Don't hate on the messenger.

Trump wears the mask of the man who is tired of everyone else getting the goodies and says it like it is. Unfortunately, Trump and his followers confuse honesty with being utterly boastful and ignorant.

I liked how you pointed out his business failures. It matters when you are running for president and even his supporters must admit that. If Obama must be under a microscope and his very citizenship questioned, so must Trump. Indeed.

I love that everyone thinks politicians are not arrogant and self-absorbed while The Donald is somehow a renegade. Trump is just honest about his feelings. He doesn't wear the mask of a politician.

      We are such sheep.

There is no doubt that Americans are pissed at the level of competency that our government has demonstrated - but the crowd reaction indicates that they are willing to replace our current level with another even worse is disappointing.

If you didn't read it how can you critique it? Are you so sensitive that a picture would deter you from reading. Get your head out of the sand.

The title actually represents the probable effect of Trump as president. People should think about the consequences of their rush to put Trump in office for all the reasons cited in the article. Much would be gained if the Trump bandwagon is derailed.

The only difference this time is its a segment of the white population that feels disenfranchised.

Trump represents the cowboy in the white hat who promises to kick ass and take names! He tells them he is going return the country to it's past.

    • dashingscorpio profile image

It is highly unlikely that Trump will win the Republican nomination. However if he did it even more unlikely that he would defeat Hilary Clinton or whomever is the eventual Democrat nominee.

One of the difficulties Republicans are having with Trump is his beliefs aren't too far off from the general Republican platform. The only difference is he blatantly laying out his cards on the table.

There is a whole segment of the population that hates to see all the "changes" that have come about over the past couple of decades. Everything from the Civil Rights movement, Women's Rights, Marriage Equality, Sexual Harassment laws, Trade pacts that send high paying blue collar manufacturing jobs to other countries, and the prediction that whites will be a minority by the year 2050 scares the crap out of some people. So it's music to their ears when someone says things like: "Lets take this country back!" or "Lets Make America Great Again!"

What they really want is to go back to a (known past) rather than to contend with an (unknown future) where lines are clearly drawn.

The reality is there has never been a time in our history where every segment of the population was happy with the way things were!

It is obvious who you are with all your liberal, progressive vitriol. Donald Trump tells the truth and confronts the do nothing politicians so endemic in Washington. The truth hurts liberalism and your only defense is to attack candidates who tell it like it is.

Our country has been led down a path of destruction by the progressive movement and we are becoming a third world country. Donald addresses this and the fact that the rest of the world looks at us as a failed country.

Your comparison of Donald Trump to the most degrading historical individuals is not only incorrect it is disgusting.
