Enough Is Enough – Stop the Fighting!
I’m tired of it. Aren’t you?
As individuals we learn from our mistakes, pick ourselves up by the bootstraps and move forward in a positive direction.
What the hell has happened to America?? Why can’t we come together as individuals to create a nucleus of progress and social integration?
Why does it have to be about race? Injustice is a part of life globally. But America has become a mecca of blame that has resulted in shame.
We’re better than that.
Don’t blame it on the Civil War. Look beyond that. Even after slavery was abolished, people of color were segregated from society. The Civil War ended in 1865. Yet, in the 1960s the war between the races continued. Martin Luther King pled with America to come together as a people.
Martin Luther King Jr.'s I Have a Dream Speech
Don’t Place Blame, Move Forward
Yet we still have dissention.
Who’s to blame? The whites? The blacks?
Let go of yesterday and work towards a positive today and tomorrow.
Injustice isn’t relegated to the color of our skin. It affects social status, income status, religious beliefs, and even how we choose to live our lives and feed our bodies. In fact, if you think about it, anyone who works for an employer and is subjected to their rules is, in essence , a slave. Additionally, we have financial obligations we need to meet in order to keep afloat. That means most Americans, regardless of color are enslaved.
We’re working in reverse. None of us have any control over those who are screaming against past transgressions and bringing them back to life.
The wounds have been in the healing process for decades. Yet, they are now being reopened. For what reason? What purpose does that serve?
Let the wounds heal. Make a better life for today and tomorrow. Do you want your children to grow up living in the past or being a victim of a past that is generations gone? Feeling sorry for themselves and the color of their skin? Being angry because of the color of their skin and feeling deprived because of something for which they have no control? Being angry towards those who are of a different color?
We’re all of a different color. We’re all of a different mindset. We’re all of a different philosophy. That’s what makes us unique. That’s what makes America the Melting Pot of the World, as we were once called.
Be the change! Stand strong and bring this country to the ideals our forefathers envisioned for us!
Our country was built upon the premise of everyone being treated equally. As humans we have that right, but it’s not always been so.
I get that.
But today is a different day.
I Don't Regret My Ancestry, I Embrace and Learn From It
Make a difference. Don’t rehash what was and can’t be changed. Don’t try to eradicate the past because the past made us who we are today.
We learn from our past. And we better ourselves because of and in spite of our past.
Why don’t you get that?
In this year 2020, we have a universal virus that is indiscriminately killing. Now is the time to unite, not to fight.
History is a learning tool. It teaches us what works and what doesn’t.
Don’t have a chapter engraved in the upcoming generation’s history books that centers around the dissension we created in the year 2020.
Be the change, not the regression. Earn a chapter in upcoming, everlasting history books that tell of Americans of all colors and beliefs coming together to make our forefathers proud.
Make Martin Luther King, Jr. proud.
Make your family proud.
Make yourself proud.
Become a positive role model for the world.
I leave you with this:
Please watch the video through it’s entirety. You’ll learn something about love of country. I know I did.

As an American, how do you see what's going on in our country?
COVID-19 may or may not have an effect on what's going on in our country. It now seems to be about race and the Civil War. How do you feel about that?
