Everyone dies, but not everyone lives

Updated on February 4, 2012

Everyone dies,but not everyone lives

Love and Death

We have pushed Death away from Life, the dying away from the living - all in order to impose the illusion of control on the uncertainty of change. We have lost touch with the natural world and with our place in it as mortal animals. We have forgotten "how to die."

For every beast, dragon, war and Empire that raises and falls. Their dead bodies will be replace by green grass and among the grass, Grass Hoppers will be making love

Make love love not war
Do your good and peace before the world is over
Make love not War

We can work it out , I never had no doubt
Do the right thing, cause we are always fighting
For heaven and hell is on earth can be back biting
Make love not War! isn't that more exciting

People have often wondered, what have I done or not done if I die. I have no Regrets for the pass only what I do not do in the future. Have no fear of death because I know how to live, just don't want to be there when it happens.

Death is more universal than life; everyone dies but not everyone lives. The terror in not in the big bang, its only in the anticipation of it.

I love this. Someone once told me that I am living to die (brain cancer) but need to be dying to live instead.

Great hub. Death is such a mysterious subject. People are often afraid of the "D" word because it represents the unknown and forbidden. Furthermore, people are fearful of death because of religious indoctrination regarding the issues of heaven and hell. Many people are quite fearful of the so-called "negative" connections of death.

Many people live in preparation for death; however, they are just meandering in life but not actually LIVING AND SAVORING LIFE! This is sad. People live life as if it was a sentence, not a gift from God or the Universal Force.

      Yes

More people are motivated by fear than love and the worst concept man has ever invented is the fear of hell. Fear is the unknowns and spiritualism is that mass among of that unknowns. It always a matter of time and work to come to a deeper understanding and acceptance of what is.

My pet perv is 80% of people spending most of their waking hours of their lives not liking their work or job. What a horrible waste of time of servicing humanity

Your title is strangely familiar to the lyrics of female rapper Nicki Minaj. I find it funny, because I doubt you've ever listened to her...

Hello my friend. I missed your wisdom. If we aren't loving we truly are not living. Live to love and we will love to live. Loving is truly a gift we all possess therefore life truly is a gift from our source.

You got that, good to see you again too,

Yes, love is the most important rule and is the best sense solution towards our fear of death or greaterl free speech about it.

Great hub. You hit the nail on the head when you said we impose the illusion of control on the uncertainty of change. I believe this is the primary motivation that precedes the onset of religious belief.

Much of controling others is about power, Religion has been a powerful tool for grand powers to be. Self reliance has been the best empowerment for me, it's best to think for your self first, before doing whatever people tell you to do.

This quote came from Braveheart, didn't it? At the end when Mel Gibson is talking to the Queen and telling her why he must die this way, when she wants him to plead guilty and live. I love the the first paragraph the most, we absolutely have lost touch with nature. This is something I often struggle with, because I don't want to be apart of this systematized world, however I will be achieve nothing and be an outcast if I don't confirm at least a little.

Your definitely on to something, so many of us are afraid to die but aren't at all afraid that they've never really lived!

Most notice it in people who do not like their jobs for most waking hours of their lives. They would rather join a fight group than switch.
