Fans Must Boycott

By Chuck RitenouR

I think its time that we as NFL football fans take action to end the NFL referee lockout. You may be wondering how could we be instrumental in ending this strike. The answer is very simple. All we'd have to do is boycott all television broadcasts of the games. If we stop watching the NFL games on Sunday, stop watching Monday Night Football and refuse to watch Thursday night games, the television networks who have paid an astronomical amount of money to the team owners would certainly step end and this strike would come to a screeching halt.

If you are a true jersy wearing team fan, there is no way you could be happy with the "scab" refs knowledge of pro football rules. Over the last three weeks, they have mismanaged every game. These referees have made some rediculous calls and by doing so changed the outcome of the game. Due to indecision and lack of rule knowledge, the referees huttle after nearly every penalty causing game delays which can change a shift in momentum when a team is on a roll.

This weekend instead of watching pro football, I'll be out of the house with my girlfriend checking out the local flea markets. Monday and Thusday night, I'll be watching HBO or one of the other premium cable channels. It is my hope that many of you will join me.

If you want this lockout/strike to end, all we'd have to do is boycott all television broadcasts of the games.
