First They Came for the Jews...

Taxpayer March on Washington

First They Came for the Jews...

It is possible if you weren’t diligently seeking information about the September 12th 2009 march on Washington, you might have missed that it even happened. Aside from a select few news media outlets like Fox and C-SPAN, this momentous event was systematically overlooked by Mr. Obama’s cheerleading squad – or as they are otherwise known, the mass media.

In contrast, on that day -- if you wanted to find “headlines” about Mr. Obama’s speech, that was a snap to find along with numerous quotes Mr. Obama made to some obscure audience of true astro-turf, trumped up “supporters.” Quotes he has said ad nauseum for months in countless speeches read from his trusty teleprompter. No newsy stuff there. It was a campaign-like rally with some 10,000 in attendance, with those in attendance treating Mr. Obama like an American Idol rock star. After all, ACORN and other tentacles associated had representative Czars to “distribute” that so-called “stimulus” money. If I had billions of dollars I was in charge of distributing to my favorite special interest groups – even ones under federal investigation – I too could throw a big “We worship Mr. Obama” rally with 10,000 of my closest friends…

Yet I was unable to find one major news web page that did not prominently carry this momentous event. CBS, MSNBC, CNN, ABC etc. all had this speech front and center on their "Latest News" home pages.

But I digress.

You know the fact that we have a charismatic, young President isn’t a bad thing. It actually would be cool with me if Mr. Obama was a powerless rock star or some slick, charismatic entertainer. What we have in reality is someone who is reaching into American’s collective pockets to fund a complete government take-over of our country and our constitution trying to implement far reaching socialistic policies. Oh that he were only a rock star!

He’s an arrogant rock star with power who looks down his nose (as do those he associates with and are in his administration) at those who disagree with him. The White House was asked, prior to the 12th, what does the President think about the proposed rally on Washington? The response -- What rally?

He also lies to the American people. He lied on the campaign trail, he's lying to us as our President. Mr. Wilson was spot on with his impolite outburst!

We already know the President doesn’t like Christians. Yet he ran as if he was a practicing Christian. He refused to observe the National Day of Prayer, essentially banned it from the White House. He attended or hosted absolutely nothing to recognize the national observance yet he recently was the cordial host for a recognition of the Islam holy month of Ramadan at a formal dinner in our nation’s White House.

By his actions, Mr. Obama apparently doesn’t much care for our U.S. military – wounded or otherwise. Just Google “Obama visit soldiers”. I find one in April 2009 noted, and then the rest only while he campaigned. Some of those pre-presidential visits were actually quite controversial -- as in – he was a no-show and didn’t take the time for scheduled troop visits. He's a busy man after all...

He sends an increase of our military to Afghanistan to fight his war. And he has time to visit every Muslim country on the planet to apologize for how badly the U.S. behaved until he was annointed. Ahem...appointed. He goes to Martha’s vineyard and plays golf, takes his wife to dinner and a show, all while my son sleeps on sand and dodges bullets and bombs sent by the Taliban with the rest of the U.S. Army Stryker Brigade. He has plenty of time to make over 30 health care speeches telling people who disagree with him to shut up. But he doesn’t have time to say thanks to our military American heroes.

We also must conclude that Mr. Obama really doesn’t like white people. Public videos of Mr. Van Jones were played and replayed for all to hear his own words, not taken out of context, but within the context of his own racist speeches. Yet Mr. Obama remained silent. Not once did Mr. Obama distance himself from Van Jone’s “truther” rants (those white guys in the White House planned 9/11 themselves). Nor did he denounce the charge from Van Jone’s lips that white people purposefully pour poison into black communities. And did Mr. Obama really not know Van Jones was a vehement supporter of Mamuia Abu-Jamal, a convicted cop-killer who has been repeatedly proven to be precisely where he belongs – on death row? “Beer Summit” seems to come to mind…The notion our President thinks like this man and the other radical lunatic advisers he calls Czars isn’t really a stretch here.

Remember, this is the same President and his White House that is supposedly clueless about tens of thousands, possibly hundreds of thousands who marched in D.C. to protest this administrations obscene and reckless spending of taxpayer’s money.

Seek out the images from this event that criss-crossed the nation and ended in D.C.. A picture says a thousand words as they say. In this case, at least tens of thousands of words. Yet this administration is turning a blind eye and ear. Right now, you may be reading this and other writings like this figuring, “That’s not me – Mr. Obama isn’t ignoring me or my group.” But think about this. If Mr. Obama can literally dismiss the largest group of people in the world as if they are merely a few pieces of lint on his lapel (banning National Prayer Day), if he and his administration can demonize dissenters – those who disagree with his policies -- and pretend that a massive demonstration right on his door step didn’t happen. If Mr. Obama even after the march on D.C. acts as if this event is an insignificant blip on his radar, you will be next. It is only a matter of time, because someday, he and his cronies will target you. This President and his brazen lust for complete power, his defiance, arrogance and disdain for anyone who does not march in lock-step with whatever he wishes to ram down America’s throat, this same man who tells the whole world he has always wanted a one payer healthcare system and then swears he never said that - will someday come for you.

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out--
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the communists
and I did not speak out--
because I was not a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out--
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me--
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

A poem by Pastor Martin Niemoller, Berlin, 1939.

Niemoller was a pastor in the German Confessing Church
who spent eight and one-half years in a Nazi concentration camp.

100% agreement. Now Obama is seeking an international treaty that allows the countries to decide if you can have a gun in your house! It would bypass Congress completely. Obama would rather be called Dictator than President. He has really put a screwing to American's.

Well, what ever the final estimation, it was a respectable number of people. Even if I don't agree with all the points of view expressed there, I do believe we have to be extremely careful about how much money we spend. That is why I would really like to see true health care reform, not just more money thrown at the problem. And any and all money spent needs to have a purpose and needs to be carefully monitored.

We could get health care costs under control and allow greater coverage without spending more - but it takes backbone and compromise, character and selflessness on ALL sides to get that done, and as I say - Congress is the opposite of Progress.

I agree Chef Jeff - I wish SOMEONE could come up with some decent verifiable numbers. I too could not find anything verifiable. And you know what - I agree with you as well about their logo. Not a fan - but I thought it might have been just me.

Well, either way, 75,000 or more, it was an impressive number of people, but so far other than info from blogs I have not been able to verify more than somewhere under 100,000 at most.

One camera did capture a large crowd but the date was not verified on the blog, and from my own estimates of how many people would it take to fill those particular streets, it still would not be above 100,000, but that is just my own take.

I'd really like to see some certified, official numbers, but I always keep in mind that even if a million showed up, which seems unlikely from police reports, it is still just a small portion of those who voted against Barack Obama in the election.

If everyone who voted against turned out on one march, and everyone who voted for him showed up at another, the majority would still be with those who voted for him as the president of the U.S.

Maybe that number has shifted with more recent polls, but most polls are like snapshots that don't necessarily mean what they are nade out to be. It all has to do with how questions are asked by various polling organizations, and some are very partisan, either Right or Left.

BTW, did anyone notice how closely the poster looks to the old Communist posters of the 1930's??? Someone should have checked that out before coming up with the raised left-handed fist-in-red design.

I think this might clear it up a little - but as the article says - the protesters always say one thing - the police another.

Madame X, I saw the official report from the D.C. Police that estimated the crowd at somewhere about 75,000. Where and when did they change that estimate? I'd be curious to know if it has been substantiated by the D.C. Police and/or Park Service. Do you have a website from either that supports this number?

As a Jew, (you knw that already) I love the title of your article. As an American, I once again love your article.

Wow! That is a fantastic hub. I agree with every point, except one (you'll like it!) The D.C. Park Police have estimated that 1.3 million people marched on 9/12. Just thought I'd brighten your day :)

ps- God Bless Pastor Martin Niemoller
