Ant Antoine is at the Tabe

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Monday, May 11, 2015. Our industrious friend, Ant Antoine, is at the breakfast table this morning. Antoine is quite concerned about the federal government's interest in controlling the internet. The attempt is referred to as net neutrality. Tons of regulations are going to be introduced that will definitely threaten the free speech we are entitled to. Antoine has asked for the pleasure of your company this morning. He is preparing a French toast casserole. I will be preparing Irish coffees to accompany the meal. We hope to see you soon.

The New FCC Rules

Thank you all for joining me this morning. I wanted to tell you about the Federal Communications Commission and their plan to regulate websites based on political content. New rules were passed by the FCC in February and they are expected to take effect on June 12, 2015. The FCC has reclassified internet providers as utilities. FCC member Ajit Pai is quite concerned about this move. He has been extremely vocal about his objections and because of that he and his family have been threatened and harassed. Pai predicts that the FCC will quickly begin to direct more than internet providers. He believes that content on the internet will be scrutinized and sites that espouse views different from those held by the the government will be silenced. The impact on America will be devastating. The mainstream media reports what the Obama administration wants them to report. The only way to learn the facts is by searching the internet for alternate sites that tell Americans the whole story. if the federal government assumes control of the internet and silences the free exchange of ideas, we will be living in a totalitarian state, Americans will only know what the government wants them to know. Freedom of speech will be dead. We won't be living in America anymore.

Our Freedom at Risk

It really should come as no surprise that under the Obama administration, something as awful as this might transpire. President Obama rewrote the presidency. He rules by executive fiat and although some grumbling is heard, he marches on. He has virtually ignored Congress for the past six years. He negotiates with our enemies and he has divided our nation on race issues that were thought to have been resolved. Now the FCC will make sure that we are silenced once and for all. This president hates criticism of any kind. He can't tolerate anything less than complete obedience to his wishes, or should I say the wishes of Valerie Jarrett. Given the chance, which he will be taking, I can envision a site like HubPages caving in and abandoning topics that appear to be controversial.

A Done Deal

The government has won this round. They will begin to crackdown on the internet after June 12, 2015. The only way to stop them from squashing our rights is to make sure the next president is not of the Obama ilk. We need to restore our nation to greatness. We need to demand transparency. We need to get back to our roots and stop the off the wall liberals and progressives from selling us out and shutting us up. These are very dangerous times. This administration has added to that danger in so many ways, that undoing the harm will be the challenge of all challenges. We must prevail. If the nation, as a whole, reacts to this takeover with little more than a yawn, we are lost. My bugs and I will have to pack up and go home. The problem is that America is my home and I can't imagine life anywhere else. I prefer to stay and fight. Game on!

Antoine's Song

Let's go children of the homeland

The day of reckoning has arrived

Against you tyranny's ugly flag is raised.
