Freedom, illusion or real?
Freedom. That word sounds great, doesn't it?
From early on,and in most of our lives especially growing up in Canada, we all were taught about freedom.
We were told that we are free and that we must cherish our freedom and fight for it if it were being taken from us.
However, and I say this with great sadness, we no longer have freedom. Even our neighbour to the south have lost their freedom. Both our countries are under tyranny and those who have robbed us of our basic human rights—freedom-- are still speaking of freedom and telling us that our countries are the beacon of hope and freedom.
Nowadays freedom is a mere illusion and it is whatever we are told it is.
What freedom do we have? We can work (f one can find work)and then we are forced to hand over a percentage of our wages to government. We are told what firearms we can posses, what size magazine we are allowed to have, where and when we can shoot our firearms, this was not so 5+ decades ago. We are told that we have to wear seatbelts in cars, how fast to drive etc. We are force-fed certain information in our school system whether we believe what they are teaching or not. They teach evolution but not creation, even though evolution has never been proven. When traveling we have to have a pass (passport) and inform the government and certain agencies where we are going, for how long, what we are bringing, what we return with...all this after we get permission to travel of-course.
So, are we free? Can I live the way I want to without government interference? If how I want to live does not affect anyone else, then why can I not live in the manner I choose? If I am a free human being, then why can I not travel where I want, when I want any time I want without a passport and without government interference?
I have heard stories from the US where a retiree had a small rain barell and was collecting rain water to water her garden. (She lived in California) and the local government went and fined her and told her that she can not collect rain water. I also heard that she was even threatened with jail time.
In Florida a person was living off-the-grid and had been doing so for many years. The local government told him that he was no longer allowed to live that way and he was ordered to go on-the-grid. The reason they gave him was that it was for his own safety and security. What right do they have to dictate to anyone how they live?
In Ontario, our provincial leader has said that she will ban all natural gas in houses, that everyone is to go to electric only. (heating the home and water). We have some of the highest electricity rates in Canada already. She even wants to have electric only cars in the province as well. Sha is claiming that it is all for the environment. Cars already burn efficiently and natural gas is clean. She has no care or concern for the people who live in the province. She is destroying their lives and is laughing all the way to the bank.
If I own property, whether it is in a city/town or out in the country, how I choose to live should be determined by me and me alone. The house I build, or the renovations I do and so on should only be determined by me. My choices only affect me. So why does local, provincial (or state) and federal government want to control how we live?
What about our main stream media (news)? Why is so much of what they report lies? It is all about controling what we think and believe. Look at the current news. NATO is building up forces on the Russian border. Why? What has Russia done? When one looks into it and digs for truth, one can find that NATO wants an enemy that isnt an enemy, so they manufacture one, the whole while there is a real enemy—isis that is a real threat. We can see that they aren't making much of an effort to destroy that satanic cult, they are too busy trying to make us all believe that Russia is a threat. It is all done to control through fear. They want puppets, people they can control.
This is all so much like George Orwell's book 1984. Everything we think, are taught, hear on the news, read in history books is all manipulated and manufactured by the government to control us.
We do not have freedom. We are all little drones controlled by the government and work like slaves for the government to keep them living like kings and queens while being spoon-fed what we are to believe, such as the lie that we are free.
Think about your life, what you believe, what you are allowed to do and not do, what is taught to us from a very young age on in school, in the news etc.
Let me also ask this. Why can a politician who has been and is being investigated for crimes run for the position of leader of a country? And why, when that person is not being charged, why then is there a shooting by black people of white police officers? It seems that the moment the government wants our eyes off one situation, another more drastic situation arises. It is also to increase racial tensions. If the government can divide the people they can control the people.and take the focus off corrupt politicians and government, and as a bonus push for the gun control/ban again. Everything that happens is for a purpose and everything the government does is done for a reason. Usually to take more control, In this case, it is all about gun control and gun ban. Obama has failed at every turn, his one hope is to implement gun control and ban before he leaves.
We are all being played like puppets by our masters. Like I said, we are not free, we are all being controlled and manipulated.
Perhaps Kris Kristofferson is corrrect in his song “Me and Bobby McGee' where he sings, “ Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose
Yup, having nothing and being free, truly free would be better than having a lot and being controlled and manipulated and falling for the illusion of being free that is being spoon-fed to us all by the tyrants pulling the strings.
Freedom is always worth fighting for. Once we awaken to the truth, we share it and fight for it. Rebellions happened in the past, and they can happen again. The nation we live in is our home, the politicians that are in power are elected (or are supposed to be) by us, and they are to obey us...not the other way around.
I always like to add this by:
Pastor Martin Niemoller
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
