Froggy Has Hostages
This morning started unlike any other morning in my life. As I type this hub tonight, it is unlike any other evening in my life.
On this day I held eleven people hostage in a bank. You wonder how, if I did this, am I writing this hub now? How is Froggy not in jail or dead?
First, I must explain the motivation behind taking bank employees and customers hostage.
I hit the edge. I have explained our plight to so many people and Justice For Jonathan has not come. I have called the Governor on down within our government here in Missouri and I don't think they give a crap that my 23 month old Grandson was murdered. I wondered,"who can help me?"; if I took hostages in a bank, the F.B.I. would come as well as the national media.
I will let you know now, the F.B.I. didn't come, nor any media of any kind. I was holed up with 11 hostages, but they are all fine now and I am home with my wife and family.
Did I get lucky or what?
Not really, scroll down and find out the whole story.

Some time back, I was in contact with a very sweet, caring woman. She saw what I was facing and feeling in seeking justice.
Deborah McMahon really, truly gave a crap. I could tell. You see, I have always had this ability to read a "fakeness" in people and Deb didn't show that at all. She explained to me that the company she is with trains law enforcement, military and others in crisis intervention. Their web site is linked at the right. They also work with many other affiliate agencies and their links are there too.

The whole deal with this hostage situation was an act; but not really.
The scenario called for a man that is nicknamed Froggy that lost his grandson to a murder with nothing ever done about it. Froggy enters a bank with a shotgun to get the F.B.I. and national media to listen to him.
Law enforcement agents were located in another room and through phone conversations had to
- Find out who Froggy was (real name and identity)
- Try to save both Froggy and the hostages
- Come to a suitable conclusion to pass this course.
It was a very long and brutal 6 hours. I was reminded of old feelings and new ones too. I was able to use words that I normally wouldn't with officers of the law. I really cannot describe the feelings I had then, or now.
I must say that there were "cops" from all different areas. They were from the Armed forces, small towns, and big cities. There were tears being shed on both sides of that phone today and I was overjoyed to hear that the option of just "shooting" Froggy was never considered an option.
These officers put their brains in action and discovered my pages here and also the special site I made just for Jonathan. The video probably moved them too!
A Step Forward
I must say, the officers did a good job.
I also feel we are making steps forward. I really wish that there would have been some Lebanon and Laclede county officers involved, but if what I was involved in today helps anyone, the stress and pain I felt today was all worth it.
Yea, I gave in. They didn't have anyone shot, nor did I go to jail (Thank God). The best thing though: There are "cops" out there now who know how to do it better.
If your city, county, church or business needs this kind of training, be sure and contact one of the links. They are very well known and I would recommend Deb and her entourage at any time. You never know, maybe I will even act in the scenario played in your class.
