HB2 COntroversy

Updated on April 13, 2016

First, there was Amendment One in which a lot of rights to Gay and Lesbians were denied, and then the state had to retreat off of that one and realize that Gay Marriage was going to be a part of our society and would need to be respected.

You might not approve of it, but part of our great country's appeal, is that we allow for things that may not go towards our own personal morals.

And, now the state really got stupid by ramming through a law, very clandestinely, which by the way was one of their complaints would be what would happen to our youth if the bill stayed that Charlotte passed which would basically allow people to go to the Bathroom of the Gender they identified with.

And, then the Public and the International, Business, and Celebrity world let the Governor know they were not putting up with this without letting them know how they felt, and now he is slightly backing off...Though much more remains to be done......

And, all of this over bathrooms, which in most households are unisex anyway and which a lot of businesses have discovered a magic device called a Lock and made unisex as well.....This was all really a red herring to find ways to repeal other rights as well....and folks need to understand that..and also understand that times are changing.

No longer do we live in the world that is exclusively ruled by White Male America...Sorry, but this country is becoming more diverse, and more tolerant, and for one am proud of that and hope it continues......

Hopefully, this HB2 bill will be repealed soon and the voice of reason will continue....
