When it comes to America's best interest, We The People have a responsibility...at the ballot box (Vote:America)

Updated on November 2, 2016
abwilliams profile image

God Bless America, Land that I Love, Stand beside her and guide her, thru the night, with a Light from above...

I take no pleasure in hearing that the former First Lady, former Senator, former Secretary of State, current Democratic nominee for the Presidency, Hillary Clinton, is under investigation...Once Again!

She is the best the Dems have to offer and Only She...Hill-ary...can fill all of these Positions best...

...I think not.

With the Dems, it's all about Power and who has paid their dues, whose time has come...with their very own Coronation Day (well, except for Barack, he is a bit of an anomaly)

There has been a pattern with the Clintons, since their early political days in Arkansas. One has to wonder, I wonder...with each new investigation or with each reopened 'cold case'...

will it be the one that does him in?

Will it be the one that does her in?

Will one of them or both of them be sent into retirement...destination yet to be determined?

There's gated and then there's Gated!

I take no pleasure in the fact that a lot of our Citizens have already been or soon will be...screwed over, by what was once Proposed, Praised, Pushed and Passed, as the greatest thing since sliced bread. The greatest thing this side of Heaven.....Obamacare.

Democrats alone are responsible for Obamacare!

Right before they forced it on all of us, making it a Law in the Land, all we ever heard was that our Premiums would be reduced, allowing us to keep more of our hard earned money.

We were also told, repeatedly, that if we liked our Doctors, we'd keep those Doctors and if we had a Plan which we Preferred, we'd keep that Plan!

By golly it would be sunshine and roses, it would be so wonderful that we'd begin to look forward to going to Doctors and to Hospitals and into surgery.

Remember?

They misinformed and they lied. They all played their parts spectacularly.

They've only been Preparing for the day when they'd reach their ultimate goal, a stronghold, via a single-payer system.

A Monopoly!

I am certain that there is an email somewhere!

Which reminds me, just heard this morning that when Dems speak of "dumping emails", all that means is that they want them released to the Public and when they say "dump sooner than later", that just means getting the Public up to speed quickly.

Aren't you glad that we have the Dems explaining things...for us Simpletons?

I take no pleasure in an Outsider, a Businessman having to step into the Political Arena, baggage and all, because many Elected Members of both Parties, have lost their way.

They've been seduced by Power and by Greed and in the process, have let We The People down and so we are ready and willing to go with Plan B....in this case...Plan DT!

We the People of America are resilient, we can move on, we do move on.

We can get past whatever garbage was in Donald Trump's baggage, as long as he has come clean and can start anew.

We are counting on Conviction and Honesty

- we've had it with Political games and Dishonesty.

We are counting on Transparency and Consistency

- we've had it with Hidden Agendas and unchallenged Red Lines which have been crossed.

We are counting on Trump to have the fortitude to do the job and to do it well! He doesn't get a pass because he's a Celebrity. We expect results!

Talking tough about being a Great Leader and Proving to We The People that you can be a Great Leader, are two totally different things.

It's an old cliche' but, he can talk the talk, can he walk the walk?

We are counting on Trump to surround himself with a great team and to be a difference maker.

Hillary has already proven a few things to us all:

  • She can't be trusted to take our National Security seriously.
  • She can't (without us having understandable doubt) be relied upon when the next 3:00 a.m. call comes...and it will.
  • She and husband Bill have a Beloved Cause; lining their own pockets with money freely given by kind souls, believing their monetary contributions are going to legitimate causes!
  • She seems to have genuine struggle with the simple things...like telling the truth!
  • I see her as cold and calculating and she has Proven to be...conniving and corrupt.

Am I being too nice, I feel as if I'm being too nice?

I do not like the woman and I do not want her to be my President!

I'm ready to give Trump a go at it!

What do you say America?

True, as I have stated since I got on hp, I am not a democrat, republican or any loyal party voter. I do think that the democrats have done more damage to the country.

The congress is two major parties playing tug of war with the country and the people. It is up to the voters to take their toys away. And that is the loyalty to party.

That loyalty should go to the country and the people. Even today, the republicans can't agree on that. Some of them, think like democrats, but none of the democrats think like the republicans.

Neither party thinks beyond its party goals. I see president Trump as the vehicle to bring both parties pulling in the same direction, but it takes removing loyalty to the party, by the voters.

The congressional deadlocks of the 21st century, have been overshadowed by the democrats and the msm teaming up to dupe the people into thinking that Trump is the bad guy, when nothing could be further from the truth.

The power is still in the hands of the voters, but like Pavlov's dogs, these loyal party voters only here the bells of their party.

I had suggested in a question, that the solution to stopping the entire power of the parties.

Every vote should register to vote, but not name any party. Yes, they won't be able to vote in that party's primary, but that is not a problem. The primary is where the party puts out their trash candidates giving the primary voters the choice of bad or worse. The voters didn't pick these candidates, the party did, and these candidates will be loyal to the party and not the people.

We have seen that in 2015, with Hillary coming to the starting line with the Super Pacs and the Super Delegates already committed to her. They were ambushed by Sanders, so they had to conspire to get rid of him. Instead of Sanders who was winning most of the states going to a contested primary, he mysteriously drops out.

Look at all the opposition from the republican party to Trump during the primary. Another upset to the party plan because the people aligned with Trump.

The point is that not voting in the primary is not a problem for the voters, only for the party. The party uses the party registration to determine how little they have to offer the voters and still get their candidate into office.

The primaries are the weakness and not the strength of the election process. The people would be better served by changing the primary to an open reduction election.

Take all the candidates from all the parties and replace the dem and repub primary with an open primary to select 2 final candidates regardless of party.

The parties use the primary to get loyal party voters to select their candidate, not the candidate of the people. So, taking that away from the party is a win for the people.

This would encourage the parties to select better candidates because now they are competing for favor from all the people and not the Pavlov dogs.

This voting movement should also be moved to January 21st of the election year. The current two years of campaigning takes the focus off of congress and the president running the country.

Look what happened in 2008, since 2007 everyone in congress was campaigning and fund raising, and only months before the election the economy crashes.

Today, we have the same problem with the 2015 election campaign and fund raising not ending with the election. Today, this election cycle continues because the left lost, and now they want to punish the country and its people with their so called Resistance.

Back to the no party registration.

Less than 10 months of election, the candidates either have a compelling message for the voters or they don't. Let us save the time and money, and continue focusing on running the country.

The four year presidential election term is too short to spend two years campaigning, and fundraising.

So in July of the election year, there would be no party primaries. There would be an open election where all the candidates would be on the ballot, and the voters pick one for their president.

Then the top two votes become the winning candidates for the Nov election. They could conceivably be from the same party, the good news is that they are the pick of all the nation's voters.

On Nov election day, the voters choose the president and and their VP chosen by that candidate.

The 2 party system has been a failure since the 1970s when they were responsible for the US decline which continues today.

Finally, the best candidate as opposed to the best party candidate is imo the better system.

      Thanks

We cannot even begin to fathom the corruption! But, per usual, we'll continue to get our daily overdose, from the Fallen Mainstream Media and the Dems.....

The G.O.P. and especially Conservatives want your kids to "eat crap" and they want you (and your little dog too) "to die".

It is so old and so tired, but what else do they have?

I don't know if we'll ever see a day of Indictments!

Very well stated and classy article on a very unclassy, person and party. It is not her color or her gender that one focuses on, it is the deeds or misdeeds that have persisted throughout her activism in politics.

Following her life would be like watching a funnel cloud devastating everything in its path. But I say this, very biased in my opinion of her.

Very pleased with this outcome of course. I just had the time to see HRC's concession speech online. She was gracious & dignified as she spoke of her appreciation to her campaign & family.

She fought hard and accepts defeat like a woman of strength, not the tantrums of a child. Kudos to her and well wishes as she goes forward.

Trump came through like a champion, despite the opposition from every direction, including the MSM, which has lost all respect and credibility with the vast majority, from here on in (unless & until they lose their Soros money) It is such a relief that the history-making campaign is over~~(making history for all the wrong reasons.)

To new beginnings. To a successful clean-up of the failures & debris left scattered about through the past 16 yrs.(Yes, Bush too!) To repair the damages done by those who chipped away at our Constitution, bit by bit. To the end of outrageous, insane "deals" & money "gifts" to murderous & savage enemies whose only purpose is to kill.

They must be stopped once and for all. No weaknesses, no FAILED attempts at diplomacy that falls on deaf ears and the ignorant.

I look forward to retrieving our magnificent country as it had always been. P

The popular vote was pretty much even, but nevertheless, this is how our Elections were designed long ago by our Founders.

For President, in the majority of States, after you cast your ballot, your vote goes to your State's tally, the winner gets all the electoral votes for the State.

It worked as it is designed to work. Trump reached the magic number of 270.

Too bad popular vote doesn't get the presidency. If you play the game, you can't complain about the rules after. If you participate, you give consent to the rules.

Republicans got control of Congress too. Was that a fluke? Nope. The people have said what they want and what they don't want. They don't want Obama and Hillary's agenda. They want the GOP.

electoral college gave trump the win. not numbers.

That doesn't sound very healthy for you or for this Country, but I'm not surprised by it.

Just so you know, not that you'd care....as opposed as I was to Barack Obama, I prayed the same prayer for him, when he became President-Elect.

no way. there is no healing possible. we'll just have to live in states that share our values, and hope trumps federal government doesnt take away all our rights, and the good things about living here.

I think Hillary's true colors were on full display last night when she failed to show up to address her Supporters.

Nothing from her!! Not a word!

She didn't think of them or of anyone else....only herself, because that's who she is!

      True colors.

Hopefully, we can move on from this crazy election, come together and begin to heal our Great Nation.

God Please Bless and Keep the United States of America and may the Holy Spirit surround President-Elect Trump and guide him throughout his term!

ab...Since our resident TROLL & nasty stalker WILD BILL (who is NOT an HP member, never has been, BTW) says he "doesn't KNOW if there is such a thing as Independents anymore"..it's about damned time he admits he doesn't KNOW much of anything. I'm afraid his nonsense comment would be quite a shock to the 8 + million Independents in America. None of my family nor circle of close friends are "extreme" anything. They're all moderates in their particular political stand. WB is an extreme neurotic.

I see that besides being an annoying troll he's also taking a stab at comedy. He's not good at that at all....but it IS hilarious that he commented that Independents "don't want to rock the boat " & "are people pleasers".....because if anyone should know, I am the furthest from a people pleaser of any kind and I will rock any damned boat I see fit to rock without a single qualm at all....it should be him!

(just so you know, ab, I will contact you privately about how HP wants us to deal with ANY troll....Wild Bill being our worst one..

I can include a list of hubbers he has violated & screen shots of some of his Toxins) He's being watched at all times.

I'll also be contacting HP once again about him in the morning.

Don't know about you, ab but the suspense is a bit much at this point. I'm actually thinking of waiting until morning for the results! LOL This is nerve-wracking!

I don't know if there is such a thing as an independent anymore. The only people that label themselves as independents are usually friends with people who are extreme ideologues and don't want to rock the boat. It is an acceptance thing. They are people pleasers.

ab...you are a sweetheart to speak up on my behalf. Thank you. You're correct, I'm more than capable of expressing my opinions, my beliefs & choices.

Leslie is no stranger to me. We've had our share of exchanges. I will thank her however, to reserve her comments as to whether or not I am an "ideologue," ~~or anything else for that matter. She doesn't know me in the least & she may not judge me.

In all fairness, I know little about Leslie except for the painfully evident fact that she is a Hillary supporter, worshipper & Lord knows, defender. This is her right. Bless her loyalty.

and leslie...as to your comment to me, "cool you're electing Trump. Some independent."

Individually we do not "elect" Leslie, we simply vote. Collectively we and electorate ELECT. Do you not fully understand why people choose to be "Independent?" Do you even know what it means to register Independent? Obviously, if you did you'd have not snarked, "Some Independent."

Yes, I am and that's how & why I make my choice. If it's any of your business or makes you feel the least bit better~~I've told you before, leslie~ I have voted for the D. candidate more often than the R. WHY?? One more time Leslie....because I allow myself the privilege of voting for the PERSON of my choice. That's MY right.

i would never disrespect anyone for their vote...unless they disrespect me.

and i have to say, its really annoying how many right wingers start the conversation with "listen, stupid"....

      anyway,

whichever way it goes, half the people lose.

(Vote:America) means get out and vote America and it also means Vote for America! (If it needs an explanation, guess I'm not as clever as I sometimes think I am)

This has been a struggle for me, you know that, I've been writing about it for over a year now.

Trump wasn't last on my list, he didn't make my list. Although I've always known that I can never vote for Hillary, I have options; vote 3rd Party or Write-in. I could never, not vote. NeverTrumpers will secretly vote Trump and never tell a soul or they'll vote 3rd Party. They may Write-in a name (in States where it is allowed) or they may not vote at all.

      We have choices!

With time, many debates, much research and a lot of Prayer, I've, personally, come to the conclusion that Trump is the best choice for America, at this time.

do you think you care more about america than i do? are you a "real" american, and im not? respect works both ways. and ive not seen much respect, either for my dislike of bush/cheney et al, or my support of hillary.

abw.....Excellent article telling it like it is. No fluff No puff, just plain, simple & evident facts. As an Independent, I have followed as closely as possible, done a lot of reading, listening & my fair share of fretting along with at least half of America.

I have concerns but I also have hope. I'm eager for Nov. 8th~ while I'll also feel apprehensive as we await results.

In short, this time more than any other election campaign, I have been 100% sure of only one thing from day one..and that of course, is that I would not, could not, vote for Hil liar y if that ultimately meant I wouldn't be voting at all.
