What Have We Learned From History
- When Things Went Wrong...!
A short historical novel, that involves reincarnation and social issues.
So Far, We Are Afraid We Have Not...
At certain point in History, or Prehistory, man started to think deeply and made decisions on his own. Civilization was born gradually and rules, the way lawyers loved it, were set for individuals as our ancestors and their clans and tribes. But, as far as we were concerned, we have failed completely in learning from past mistakes and all those erratum humanus cast a spell in our society. The worst thing is that we know(this very minute) that we are making the same mistakes, but, we think that we can get away with it.
TIME AFTER TIME
What I have seen with my own eyes is the lack of morals, from Politicians, to Financial 'big shots' from Wall St. They might've have studied the fall of the Roman Empire, if they claimed they read from the past to understand the present? How could we have fallen for that weapons of mass destruction assertion, that drove our young generations to war? Maybe the Armament dealers had to send their kids to college? How is that The 'Senatorum' from A.D.45 is not really different from what we see on TV? Same hair style, and arrogance. Hail Caesar!
Examples of repetitive mistakes
From Marc Antony to Zpitzer and back to Clinton... We as hominids, keep looking for that extra 'carnivorous' affair. Form Kobey Briant to Leonardo Da Vinci's dad, unfaithfulness has been accepted behind those sinful doors. And we don't seem to learn.
WAR AFTER WAR
From Jamestown to Korea, and back to 1899. The U.S. has been on war more that the Romans or the 300 Spartans. And now who is next? Syria?. Would you rather have a job, or pay with your taxes for that F-16, that can cost millions. Where is the sense in all this? Our security? Going to Afghanistan and Iraq, just to keep these guys from 'Blackwater,' right on target and out of job?
It's been around forever, and will be around until it gets fed down to the core of our passion for money. Like we said before, greed keeps Capitalism afloat, but doesn't go hand in hand with morality. The richer gets richer, and the poor... has to keep his job. We cannot imagine a world without greediness anyways.
Like the Mayans found out. There is a cycle to be meet and get ready for the changes.
What we really see nowadays is the closing of a cycle: Some might say, History is just a waste of time, ' what we learned is not even followed,' and if we want to change our attitude, we get psychologically bullied. So either you support your party, or you don't belong in there. You know you gotta feed your family, so you just go with the flow. If Whitney Houston sang the National Anthem, we all were as one back in 1991, but as soon as we knew we couldn't support the other party, we just polarized our efforts and attention. Back in A.D. 45 you had enough balls to get rid of and opposite band, as the Caesar. Today, you just join this public relations scam... and try to find the lover, the out of wedlock child and support the lobbists that put you in Power. Errors in the system, give Casey Anthony, the freedom, she cried for. The grammy's praises this Chris Brown, and mentally leaves Rihanna with that double standard message.
We do not pretend to send a negative message in here. We just vented some rant mixing History with everyday events. Some examples might appeal to our fellow readers and for others might just sound superfluous, but what we wrote is what we felt in our hearts. We know, and we have hope in our Nation, but it will take more than a village to make the change. The education system has suffered since the early seventies. Most Engineers at NASA, has to be recruited from Delhi, Ankara or Eastern Europe. An we as a nation, that was created 230 years, deserve better...for the sake of our new generations.
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."
Dwight D. Eisenhower
"There is evil in war, but the worst evil is just letting it happen."
