Health Care: They Only Come Out At Night

Updated on December 24, 2009

Like an infestation of cockroaches, senators crawl out of the woodwork in the Capital Building at night. The end game is to pawn health care in the name of American people by bribing votes with millions of already depleted dollars.

Harry Reid, the majority leading cockroach is pushing hard to pass unconstitutional health care legislation that will force everyone to purchase an individual insurance plan. It was proclaimed by the cockroaches in the House and Senate that this health care legislation was for all Americans without exception. Yet cockroach Reid backtracked and hissed proclaiming that it will cover only 96% of the American people. But the truth is that it will cover no one.

The American people will be forced against their liberty of free choice to purchase monopolized insurance coverage with their own dwindling dollars. The American people will also be forced to support a massive government bureaucracy who will not participate in the government mandated plan. The Congress and Senate exempted themselves along with federal employees who have free access to the best available health care at the expense of the taxpayer.

Fundamental change is coming through mandated legislation. You and your doctor will no longer have the ability to make critical decisions for your own good and well being. Your government will make all decisions for your well being as stated and quoted from within the bill.

"The Secretary shall, by regulation, establish criteria for the certification of health plans as qualified health plans."

That says it all right there - in black and white!

It may be too late to face reality now but you will in four years when the benefits finally kick in after the next major election. Perhaps you should get used to the idea that you will be controlled like puppet on a string. Your government, as clueless as it is about health care, will set the standard for your treatment with the weight of law.

The polls indicate that most Americans want health care reform but not under the plan of regulation that politicians are pushing for. Yet the Congress and Senate keep moving against the will of the people.

Politicians have misled and lied to the American people for months preaching that insurance companies are evil and put profit above life. What they haven't told you is that insurance companies made a profit of only 2% last year. Politicians never quote percentages because they don't want to you know the big picture. If you as an individual could only keep 2% of your earnings, you wouldn't be able to buy toilet paper!

Last week I pulled up behind an SUV. On the back window in big white letters the message read:

No More Politicians - No More Taxes - Hang'em All

The mood of the country has changed but the cockroaches of the Congress and Senate are ignoring it.

The Senate passed the bill filled with pork and bribes when most Americans had their focus on the Christmas Holidays. It will now go back to the Congress for reconciliation. No doubt the Congress will add more pork to fill the reelection coffers. Could it be that this is one of the reasons the cockroaches voted to raise the debt ceiling along with the bill?

If this bill becomes law your life will be reduced to the politics and whims of those who value your life less than their own. You will become the equivalent of campaign funds.

We really do need an exterminator.

Merry Christmas America!

Excellent analysis, joe. I think your message has gotten out based on the results of Tuesday night's special election in Massachusetts. Great stuff!

Why are the Democrats tying to do things in the middle of the night under the cover of darkness?

Because that is when thieves operate the best?

This entire health care reform and the manner in which it is being manufactured is a slap in the face to any responsible taxpayer and the people looking for health reform.

If anyone in corporate America would have done what some of these people have done, as well as the golden parachutes they attached,(which are the pork bills), they would be going to jail. All these underhanded deals are what they are telling corporate America to stop doing.

Only about 8% of the people in this Obama cabinet has any business experience. You can not substitute street smarts for theory. These people are political students, Harvard professors that have no clue, and operate on theory. People who have never had a real job in the free enterprise workplace.

They all live in their world and not our world.

      Have a great day.

Obama claimed he was going to put all Bills online for 5 days before they were passed so the people could see them. Not only is this NOT happening the Democrats are intentionally adding amendments to the bills and trying to push them through before even their own party has a chance to read them.

A 300 page amendment was added to the extremely dangerous Global Warming Bill at 3am!

Why are the Democrats tying to do things in the middle of the night under the cover of darkness?

Can any legislation that benefits the American People really be accomplished in the dark?

Shine the light on these creatures and they scatter like the metaphorical cockroaches you describe.

Cockroaches - but we elected them cockroaches... boy was we dumb.

Wait - when you talk about bribes are you talking about the $1,400,000 PER DAY that the health care insurance companies paid to fight this bill... a wait, they had that much because they have been ripping us off... boy was we dumb.

Mandate - You mean that when people get sick they had a right to make you and me pay for their treatment - Surly you mean they had a right to stay home and die... cuz, why would we treat them for free... boy was we dumb.

Cockroaches - You mean the guys we vote for that take money from companies and do things not in our best interest - they look out for the companies that are ripping us off - man they are scum - If we vote for them again - boy was we dumb.

But the poor health care companies only made a 2% profit - Ah, that was after only 85% of the payments they got went to pay for medical care - where did the rest go? Oh, that 13% went for administration fees. How much was a measly 13% - Wait - that can not be right - hospitals average only 7% to 8% - where could that extra 5% go - oh, bonuses, over two billion in bonuses last year to managers and sales people of heath insurance providers. - Boy was we dumb.

Outside UCLA Medical facility many of us stood in a vigil for a young woman that needed a heart and lung transplant - organs had been harvested - the cost would have been 300,000 and followup care 200,000 - but she was healthy - her doctors called her a good candidate - her health insurance provider stalled for four days - she had a bad heart before she got insurance, preexisting condition. We listened to the insurance company agree to pay for the operation fifteen minutes before the doctor told us she was dead. - Boy was we dumb....but we are getting smarter.

all those things you list fail to say that we are at the mercy of corporations who are making huge profits off of us, and when we threaten the profits we are expendable.
