The Obama Healthcare Reform Bill For Better Or Worst
Obama Healthcare Reform Bill
The Obama Healthcare Reform Bill For Better Or Worst was signed by President Barrack Obama on 3/23/10 in the Whitehouse with the Democrat leaders of Congress as a background. The minority party (Republicans ) and a few Democrat Congressional members were unable to stop the passage of the Healthcare Bill. The polls indicated that some 60% of the people were not in favor of passing the Healthcare Bill. Sadly , none of the minority party were in attendance to witness the historic signing of the Healthcare Reform bill.
Just after we watched the signing, we made a call to our Democrat Congressman’s office with a request for information regarding the contents of the Healthcare legislation. His staff of six were unable to answer our questions. They advised us that they would forward the information to the Congressman who was in Washington * see footnote
The following seven questions were.
1. Will the costs of premiums for Medicare members go up higher now that the bill is the law?
2.Will the cuts ( $ 500 million ) in the Medicare program increase members supplement insurance premiums and coverage’s?
3. What has the student loan program legislation have to do with healthcare The Student Loan Bill passed by Congress now excludes banks from making Student loans and creates a government takeover of the program. Removing the banks from making student loans will increase the unemployment in the PRIVATE SECTOR and provide more PUBLIC JOBS further impacting unemployment in the private sector.
4. Why is the government mandating paying for health insurance when many of the services will not be available until 2014?
5 Why did President Barak Obama announce that this bill will mandate insurance companies to provide services for pre existing conditions. It was reported that the services would not be available to 2014?
6.Why didn’t the bill exclude healthcare coverage for non citizens and Illegals?
7. Why didn’t the bill exclude public paying for abortions ? If the bill excludes paying for abortion, why was it necessary for President Barrack Obama to issue an executive order?
As of today, we have not receive a response to our questions. Prior to the voting on Healthcare Reform we requested our elected Congressman to VOTE NO on the legislation. The Congressman apparently regarded the wishes of the Democrat party leadership and President Barak Obama more important then the wishes of the people who elected him.
On Thurs. President Obama travel to Iowa to tell the audience and the American people that history was made in signing the Healthcare Legislation on 3/23/10. In true campaign mode Barak Obama arrogantly told the Republicans ‘’ go for it’’ in reference to the Republican decision to fight to appeal the Healthcare Reform Bill
Shameful as it was when President Obama chastised the Supreme Court Justices for a campaign finance decision in front of Congress and the American people. The news media later reported that President Obama was wrong to make his statement. The American people did elect the opposition party to go to Washington to represent them.
President Obama’s statements were derogative, arrogant and unbecoming from the President of our country in addition to insulting those voters who elected those members of Congress he referred to in his speech.
While the country and the economy suffers, President Obama has neglected to fulfill his promises for jobs and fixing the economy upon taking office in Jan. 2009. Time will only tell if the opposition party and the people were right in their request not to pass the Healthcare Reform Bill.
In the last few days, the legislation has revealed that the contents of the bill will have a negative impact on businesses, economy and further impact job unemployment. Many who voted for the bill have acknowledged that insurance premiums will continue to rise.
Foot note: Wake up America, sound off and call your public servant and make your voice be heard! In 2010, the Congressman lost his seat in the election.

So, he voted for a bill he didn't like that prevented him from getting re-elected? That's quite a sacrifice. You can believe that if you want. You really believe that? Really?!? I'm sorry friend, I have to put you in the ideologue category.
Frankly, I'd like to know what bills any of them actually read on any side. So they are inept? Did your congressman read the bill? Your senator? If not, don't vote for them. The time for that argument has past. Get to the bill itself. Would you have all these concerns if the last guy and his cronies were still in power? The SAD answer is NO.
"The Obama Healthcare Reform Bill For Better Or Worst"
"For worst" is the catch phrase here, how could it be anything but, we're federalizing 17% of the economy and entrusting the worlds best healthcare system into the hands of a corrupt federal government!
So what do we do amidst the worst financial woo's since the great depression - We elect liberal politicians to erect the largest entitlement program in history, which of course puts a ball and chain on the economy, by balooning deficits and sky rocketing tax hikes!
The initial problem with healthcare began with government interference so now the solution is to turn it over to the one's who caused the problem! Wow, go figure!
UR not getting it; READ-THE-BILL....then comment. No news can be trusted. No news. not liberal, not conservative. they have editors. they have an agenda. think of the difference between saying 'I read the bill!' and 'I listened to what Fox said.'
Most of your assertions are incorrect in whole or part, sir. The BILL is available for reading. It would be better for you to read and quote the ACTUAL bill instead of 'whooslin in the wind.' Links are for dinks.
Political affiliations and associations aside, thank you for posting this well written article! For the record, I didn't vote for Obama, but I didn't want Palin to be anywhere near anyone's next heart attack either. I can't criticize him for the health reform bill, however, because that's what "everyone" voted for him to do!
Jon,
Nice piece. I've finally gotten around to becoming a fan, thought I already was.
B.O. is the only one B.O. cares about. Things are set for the future so he can blame someone else for screwing it up. The Democrat's don't care what the majority of Americans want. The Republicans haven't been much better, they are trying to come back.
Read the bill; ask John Conyers?
This President and his Democratic majority in congress have chosen to ignore the will of the MAJORITY of the American people. This is arrogant and unethical. They are not working for the the American people as they were elected to do. They really don't care what the people want. they serve an ideology not the american citizenry. They must go!!
This is an interesting debate. Thanks for sharing your views.
Love and peace
Tony
The calls did no good. The polls did no good. The speaking by the American people that they did not want the bill did no good. No calls and no speaking now will do any good. All we have left to do is vote against the majority party and the president who has obviously let us down.
One theory I have been tooling around as to WHY this healthcare bill was so important to the dems and the president is two-fold. One, it was one of the primary bases during his campaign. He said he would do it, and by golly he was going to do it, irrespective of what was ultimately going to wind up in it. He wanted what he wanted, plain and simple, and so long as it was called a health care bill, so be it.
The other logic is that we have an enormous and ongoing growing deficit. Some of that was inherited, true. But most of it has come into being AFTER the Bush administration left office. BUT, while some of the health care bill takes effect immediately (the pre-existing condition clause is one of them BTW), most of it, you are correct doesn't start until 2014. But the taxes start NOW. And, incidentally, the government also happens to need money NOW. If they can front load the bill, they can add those revenues to the tax rolls, and could likely roll them into the deficit, thereby reducing it—ah...but the kicker will be when the bill really starts to head into fruition, a lot of the monies collected won't be there. Kind of reminds me social security, no?
Anyway, if they can collect the taxes now, and use some of the proceeds to reduce the deficit, they can go to the American people and say, "we gave you health care and all of the naysayers said it would COST us more than projected. Instead, we LOWERED the deficit."
It's an old trick. Let's hope we don't let ourselves be duped by it yet again.
Great job, BTW, on a hub well done Jon.
the healthcare bill that is passed by obama is killing jobs on the medical field and scaring healthcare investors and insurance... no doctors and healthcare professional like what he is doing and it gives more workload to healthcare professionals... america is the best in medical field before obama sits in the whitehouse... i dont know if after he change the healthcare it will still be competitive... he is destroying the flow... instead of making jobs he is destroying jobs!!!
You are wrong about Healthcare as you were wrong about Glen Beck. Consistent.
Wake up and read the bill. You are misinformed and maybe blissfully so. Thankfully America is not full of idiots like you who can't understand the written word.
Can anyone tell me what is exactly in the healthcare bill, in easy terms?
great questions hub keep asking people can get answers
You won't get an answer because he doesn't know and/or doesn't want to tell you the truth.
