Heaven on Earth Campaign
A little Heaven on Earth Now.
Heaven on Earth is Possible.
It’s a glorious spring day in Cave Junction, Oregon. The temperature must be in the high 70s. The sun’s heat warms my body and soul. The sky is baby-blue with lingering strokes of paint-brush clouds. I think it’s time to write an article about how we can join forces to make a significant difference in the world.
A soft, cool breeze carries fairy chime sounds and clicking bamboo music pleasantly to my ears. Sweet fragrances from our backyard flower boxes, all serve to heighten a sense of being completely well and alive.
The azaleas have popped their blooms with cotton-white, flame-orange, deep-purple, and lemon-yellow flowers. Candy tufts like coffee cream further accent this heavenly vision with violet and yellow petunias. A rectangular strip of green grass frames the garden in front, along with a backdrop of a 6 foot high cedar fence with looming dirt-orange berms and verdant mountain tops. Does it get any better than this?
Well, Max is with me; my little, white and bearded terrier mix. Occasionally, he runs explosively up and down the strip of green grass in front of our eight flower boxes. He’s trying to catch the Turkey Vultures that circle majestically up above. As you know, his chances of success are about impossible. Yet, he doesn’t seem to mind.
I’m looking forward to playing the piano along with seven other musical artists at the Grants Pass, World Peace Concert on Saturday, May 18th. I will also be facilitating our first meeting of the Heaven on Earth Forum at the Grants Pass, Unity Church on the 4th Sunday of every month at 12 Noon.
What is Heaven, you might ask? I have a hunch that it’s all about knowing and feeling a connection to the Source of Consciousness; e.g., God or Higher Power. When we feel this connection, love just pours out of us. So why not put Love-in-action today?
You could participate in online or other community groups that strive to share spiritual experiences and continue to search for evidence of positive power. To this end, here is the opening statement we are going to use for the Grants Pass Group:
I believe it is long overdue to put a process into motion that can expand spiritual consciousness and help heal humanity. That is my vision.
Heaven on Earth Forum is a nondenominational approach to sharing spiritual experiences; looking for evidence of Positive Power via The Noetic Sciences and the perennial philosophy; and reviewing love-in-action projects which can help heal humanity. Nobody has to give up their faith or religious preferences to enjoy participation in this group. Please understand that this is not a therapy or self-help group. Heaven on Earth will strive to develop spiritual enlightenment. But, if you have a personal issue, feel free to discuss it with the facilitators after the meeting.
We attempt to subscribe to at least five positive beliefs, and we hope our sharing will further evolve these principles into a greater acceptance of Heaven as a state of spiritual consciousness within.
#1. Love is the dominant force in the universe.
#2. Consciousness is eternal and not just connected to the human brain.
#3. We are all One with each other and all forms of life.
#4. We have the capacity to heal and change when we connect and feel the presence of our Higher Power in our daily lives.
#5. There is good and potential unity in all religions.
Yes I know these ideas are subject to debate, but that's our Heaven on Earth Forum. Ready to put some Love-in-action today? Max and I have decided to linger a bit longer by the flower garden.
